High School Never Ends

Fabs, I have real world evidence that the song title applies.  I went to high school oh so long ago, and here today at this advanced age (shush Porta and Sam) not much has changed.  I do still have the same 3 best friends.  The world is still full of ‘pick me’ people.  Cliques, cattiness, blah blah blah.

Yea or Nay?

I think I’ll always be on the fence about school uniforms.  First, unless the school provides them, they can be expensive.  Second, while they’re meant to ‘level the playing field’ kids and parents will always find a way to flaunt their status and money.  Nonetheless, there’s some very cute school uniforms out there, and I’ve got one on today.

My uniform and hairpin are group gifts over at KYA Store.  The group is free to join, so you can bring these home too.  The uniform comes in a separate top and skirt in these colors.  It comes rigged for:

Accessorize

Accessories are where it’s at when you’re trying to gain status while wearing a uniform, and thankfully, I know where you can find quite a few really cool ones for only 0L-5L.  It’s time for the Fab Free Back to Cool Hunt!  I’m wearing 2 items I picked up in the hunt in today’s picture.

First, my bag.  It’s so fun and kinda creepy and I love it.  It kind of looks like sandwich bread with a freaky face!  This is not only perfect for school, it’ll be perfect for Halloween as well 😉 .  This is the Back to School Bag from Pixel Box and it’s completely free.  There are 5 of them in various colors all over the store.  Find the Fab Free hunt rainbow and buy it for 0L.  The bag is resizable, I had to shrink it down a fair bit for the picture.

Good Vibes‘ hunt item is this bright plaid colored Autumn T-dress for back to school for $0L (free). I love these pretty colors. The set includes system/BOM panties. The graphic on the front has a raccoon and says “I paused my game for this.”

Irish Whiskey

I think you all can tell by my face, I found the whiskey truck, and I’m ready to party!  I’m *sighs* older now, but I have done my share of travel partying.  The other week I mentioned I’ve been to Mardi Gras twice, well, I’ve also gone to Savannah GA for their big St. Patrick’s Day celebration!  I think the one in Savannah is 2nd only to Chicago’s, and they, too, turn their river green.  River St. is awash with drunken revelry quite similar to Mardi Gras, in fact. ☘️

If you’re a regular reader of the blog, you’ll know that the ☘️ Fab Free St. Patty’s Day Hunt ☘️ is on!  I don’t know how Aline organizes this hunt with all our generous designers on top of managing the blog and her RL, she’s a hardworking enigma, that one!  It’s not often you find a boss who works as hard or harder than the staff, we’re so very grateful to have her in charge of Fab Free.  All of the information about the hunt can be found in the link in blue above ^^ or on the right sidebar of the blog.

Rock Me Like A Hurricane

September is rolling along and so is the FabFree Back to Cool Hunt. If you haven’t perused the hunt items you can see them on the FabFree blog here. Our FabFree designers have all kinds of fabulous hunt prizes out for us to find. As for real life, well, I just got rocked by a hurricane. All is good now but there were hours of shrieking winds & pelting rain.

Summer Has Come And Passed

As Aline pointed out recently, she’s familiar with the back to school season. But allow me to point out, in a similarly cryptic manner, that there is also a small subset of those within a school for which there is no “back to school” because they do not partake in the varying school year breaks. For them, the school season is ongoing. Poor souls.

But forget about Back to School, because right now I’m Back to Cool…or trying to be. This picture reminds me of the ones that moms take of their kids out in front of the same tree or something on the first day of school each year, but way cuter and purpley-er and stuff! Red Lady

Hello and happy Monday, Fab Fam! I do love a fresh new week on the Grid. So many sales and Hunts and events to enjoy. Liiiike The Blue Event. Now this one is a new one to me but it’s a great addition to my schedule of events! There are a ton of great bargains and a bunch of free gifts for us. In fact I was able to make a full outfit with a perfect ‘on the town’ look.

Let’s start with the free dress. This is the “Chahat” dress from Roop Clothing. This is a new-to-me designer but I am rather impressed with this lovely cocktail dress. It’s a deep rich crimson red which stands out in a sea of LBDs. It does only come in this color but I don’t mind at all.
