Hunt down a good book!

I’m all settled in to read a good book… or two… or three! And thanks to Sway’s I can do it free! It’s like having my own free Second Life library with comfy pillows!

10th Birthday!

It’s Sway’s 10th Birthday! And they are celebrating with a birthday hunt and giving out a free exclusive prize… this gorgeous reading set which includes the pillows and book stack.

Furniture details:

How to get your gift:

Teleport to Sway’s and at the landing point you’ll find a little area with all the information. Pick up the gift hud and wear it. It will show ten blank balloon spaces on the hud. You’ll need to hunt down the ten different colored balloons that are hidden all over the sim. There are not any balloons in any skyboxes; they are all on the ground. You must be close to the balloons when you click them for them to “fill” your hud.

Once you have touched all ten balloons and filled your hud, come back to the gift station and click the gift station to redeem your hud and get your free gift! It’s that easy!

Quick tip: I found that the hud covered part of my screen because of its placement. I edited it by moving it to the far top left of my screen to move it out of the way and that made hunting for the balloons much easier!

The hunt ends Oct 15th, 2017.

Sometimes I prefer to browse the Marketplace for goodies when I’m in that “stay at home” mood. I found a couple of nice Marketplace gifties that are sure to brighten your day. Once I was ready to explore, I finished off with a group gift from one of my favorite Steampunk stores!

The perfect outfit

In doing a little Marketplace hunting I ran across this ZHO outfit by Petry Shop. It includes a shirt and skirt as separate pieces with nice detailing and great geometric textures! For only 20L, I snapped it up and didn’t have to leave my linden home. 🙂

A Ride in the Country

I’ve been exploring again, and this time my dear friend took me horseback riding at a sim called Glanduin. You arrive and there are several areas on the sim where you can click a horse rezzer so that you can rezz a horse to ride to sight-see around the country side of the sim and its beautiful views!

I tried to put together a bit of a country girl look for the occasion, and with the help of a few lucky finds, I was able to do just that!

Three Tees!

Graffitiwear always puts out quality gifts each month, and August was no exception. They sent out three free fitmesh Tees with Maitreya autohide included as their August 2017 subscriber gift. (If you’re not a current subscriber just go to the store and slap that subsciber to get your gift.) For my picture, I donned the Tribal Tee, but I included a copy of the vendor add at the end of my blog post, so you could also see the Orange Tee and the Floral Tee as well. These fit like a charm and were so pretty!

Four skirts!

One Creations has out a generous free gift exclusively for FabFree group members. It’s a four pack of skirts in different colors. Like the Graffitiwear shirts, these skirts come in one fitmesh size, but I didn’t have any trouble getting them to fit as pretty as a picture. The four colors you get are brown (shown), red, blue, and black.

And shoes!

The Pirate Hunt also started today, so I stopped by Lindy Modern & Retro Shoes to see if there happened to be a pair of shoes I could work into my look. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the shoes for the hunt matched my outfit like a charm! For just 2L and a bit of hunting time, I picked up the Fara Fantasy flats. They come in sizes to fit Slink, Maitreaya, and Classic feet, and could match a variety of outfits with their muted blue and brown color scheme.

25L Tuesdays are a dream come true for roleplayers in Second Life… though I think this special item I came across today would please just about anyone. On a Lark has a pretty camisk out that roleplayers may just want to add to their wardrobe… and those of you who wear modern clothes could wear it with a pair of jeans and call it a pretty shirt. This is the “Envelop” top by On a Lark.

You can buy this pretty camisk today in a multitude of colors (and I do mean a lot of colors) for just 25L each. It comes in all your standard mesh sizes, as well as Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Belleza, Physique, and Hourglass, and each of the fits comes in two different textures for each color — a plain and a damask. Beware if you wear it alone! It covers the front but not the hiney (*winks*). I’m showing you a picture at the bottom of this post so you can see the pretty bow in the back that is the icing on the cake so to speak.

Onward and Upward!

I am making away with some fabulous finds at the Cart Sale… and this sexy little black dress just happened to catch my eye this morning and find its way into my wardrobe. I really think it is a must have simply for its versatility. The design is clean but classic and embellished enough that with the right accessories it can be casual, elegant, Gothic (as I have done) steam punk, fantasy, or just about anything your heart desires. And for just 10L at the Stars Fashion Cart at the Cart Wash Sale, it was a real gem to take home.
