Hello Fabulouses and Happy Saturday! I hope your weekend is going well. It’s super hot here in RL and I’m trying to stay cool in SL. I found this lovely hide away on the Small Town Green sim. It’s a sweet little spot where I have been curled up listening to some old LP’s while Ripley is frolicking outside with some friends. Now THIS is the way to spend a Saturday afternoon!
I Must Have Flowers, Always and Always
This pretty little Ellie top from Safira that I’m wearing features vibrant blossoms splashed across a solid background. I went with a black color scheme, but with the included texture change HUD, I could have chosen 29 other backgrounds for a floral print or 30 solid hues as well. Talk about flexibility! It’s kind of hard to see due to the position of my hand and braid, but this crop top has the cutest little knot in the hemline, just to the left of center. While the neck and back are fairly high, the sides do dip quite low, so you might want to wear a jacket or opt for a hairstyle that provides side coverage. To add this little number to your inventory, you’ll need to be a member of the Safira Store group. There is a 50 Linden dollar join fee, but this allows you the opportunity to gather a number of group gifts for free, so it’s well worth the cost, in my opinion. I counted 64 past gifts, plus 3 current gifts on display upstairs, as well as 5 lucky boards. That’s a whole lotta wardrobe additions that you can pick up for free!

I was still feeling the boho vibe when I got up this morning, so I figured it was a great time to share another of the hunt prizes I picked up while traveling down the path of The Boho Hunt. Hello there, Fabulouses! In a recent post, Love stated that sweetness is her weakness, but for me, I would have to say my weakness is…. dogs and puppies! No surprise there, right? 😉 While Ripley and I were enjoying a lazy afternoon at the NorderNey sim, I couldn’t resist scooping up this little ball of fluff for a quick cuddle before he left with his owner. Isn’t he just adorable? There’s nothing truer in the world than the love of a good dog, so it’s quite fitting that my top today features the word “LOVE.”
The Hunt Continues!
I picked up my cute tee for free over at the Valentine’s Hunt at the Justice store. Until Valentine’s Day, you can search around the shop for 12 small hearts hidden all around. Each of the hunt objects is set to sale for zero Linden dollars and contains a fantastic prize. I’ve already shared a couple of them here and here. If you have some spare time and are looking for some delightful gifts, I’d recommend you check out the event before it all comes to a close on Valentine’s Day. The Brandy Shirt hugs your curves and features a gathered hemline with ties dangling down. With a scoop neck and short sleeves, this is definitely a warmer weather top, but it was ideal for our trip to the shore. A heart formed from black stripes, as well as the word “LOVE” spelled in bold, white letters complete the look.

There are 12 hearts hidden around the store priced at just zero linden dollars each. The pupster and I haven’t yet located all of the hunt items, but the top I am wearing in my photo today is my favorite prize so far!

The Opal Tank is a cute little number which features super thin spaghetti straps, a satiny sheen and a belt to emphasize your waistline. A generous hem with softly pleated folds fit perfectly over my capris. The crimson hue (one of my favorite colors) is just right for Valentine’s day! The free hunt package, which happens to be prize number 12, contains versions for a number of mesh body types. For just an investment of time spent hunting in the Justice store, you’ll come away with a vibrant top that I’m sure will become a warmer weather favorite! What would a Valentine’s Day outfit be without a heart shaped pendant? I found exactly what I was looking for over at the Grumble store for just 59 Linden dollars. With a bright red heart dangling from a dark cord decorated with the infinity symbol, this bauble coordinated well with my new top. If you’d prefer a different color, you can pick up a silver, pink or gold version for just 59 Linden each. Although it’s just right for V-day, I know I’ll wear this necklace over and over throughout the year.
Back to the Hunt…

The pupster and I picked up a couple of more hunt items that really got me into the holiday spirit. I was even motivated to dig out the box of Christmas lights and start decorating. Notice I said “start.” Those string lights must have spent all summer knotting themselves up inside their storage container. Last year, when I put them away, they were neatly coiled. I don’t know what happened… all I can say is those things have a mind of their own. It took quite awhile to get the whole mess untangled. Well, at least I had my wrap top and ribbon choker to keep me looking beautiful in the midst of the snarled jumble.
The Colors of the Season
I just love the bright contrast between red and green in my new Rhea Wrap Top that I picked up over at [QE] Designs. This fabulous prize from The Gingerbread Men and Hot Cocoa Hunt set me back just 1 Linden dollar, plus a bit of searching time. I’m all about hunting down delicious gingerbread cookies (yum!), and when I can scoop up budget friendly goodies as well as cookies, you can count me in! Featuring long sleeves, a cropped hemline and a curve-hugging wrapped design, this little number is full of holiday cheer. The package also includes a texture change HUD, which enables you to select a cotton or knit fabric as well as to customize the color on each half of the shirt. Hello Fabulouses! I hope you had a fantastic Saturday. In RL, Ripley and I spent some time at a home show today, dreaming about renovations and all the things we can’t afford to do to our house. So, when we got home, we popped onto SL and found a bunch of free gifts over at The Seasons Story. I’m so glad there are such generous designers in SL!
Go Red!
Although I enjoy chatting and being around other people, I do have to admit there are those days when I just want to quietly take a walk with my pal and shut out the rest of the world. The free sweatshirt that I picked up at the Moonstone display at The Season’s Story makes this abundantly clear with its printed message about the Anti Social Club. This over sized hoodie is perfect for a brisk fall day spent exploring nature. I really like the casual style and the bright crimson color. The only quirky thing was the top forces you to have one hand in your pocket, which meant I needed to alpha out one of my hands. On my Maitreya body, I could only alpha out both hands, so I dusted off the Slink hands I had in my inventory, and popped on the right one. Problem solved! Since the text on the top and the stripes on the sleeve are white, I decided to pair my new sweatshirt with white pants, but I think it would look great with denim as well. The free gift package contains only one version – Maitreya – so if you have a different mesh body, this may not work for you. However, since the gift is completely free, it may be worth a shot to pick it up and try – you might get lucky! You have to be a member of The Seasons Story Event group to receive the gift, but there is no join fee, so I’d say give it a go!

After reading Aline’s post {HERE} in which she said there was another free super cute crop top over at FashionNatic, I decided to teleport over to the store and take a look around. The Nadia top is a flirty wrap style sleeveless shirt that includes a HUD packed with a fat pack of 30 textures. I opted to shade all portions with a really pretty pink floral pattern, but I could just have easily colored the left side, right side, and tie differently. That opens up a ton of variations! With neck and back lines that plunge low, and a tummy skimming fit, you’ll be able to stay cool all summer long wearing this top.
