Extra Goodies in the Photo

The super sweet neon popsicles behind me are from our very own Fab Free Designer, NinaX.  The red and yellow color is free in the Summer Nights Hunt (7.24 to 8.14), but the other colors are also a steal at only 15L each!  I grabbed them all, just cause I couldn’t decide!  Sooo cute!

My little yummy hand held popsicle and my little panda friend (who is sooo much enjoying his slushie!) are both from The Epiphany.  The popsicle is from Broken Arrows for a 50L pull and the Panda is from Stoic for 75L a pull.  Such a fun shoot!  I’ve got a close up below so you can get a better look at things.

Hey gang,

Feels like there are soooo many hunts and events happening right now.  I’ve been running everywhere!  So today I thought I would just putter around the house and get some things done there.  At least in second life we don’t have to dust or vacuum (unless we want to of course!), things get cluttered but they don’t actually get *dirty* ya know?  That’s always a good thing!  Of course there are issues we don’t have to deal with in real life (thankfully!)  like losing things inside walls or going someplace and no one can see our clothes.  That’s always a good thing too!

I have a couple of my favorite things today. Comfortable, well-broken in jeans, a casual tee shirt and a cold ‘adult beverage.’  The best thing is I didn’t have to work too hard for two of them. Just 1 linden for the jeans and some hunt time for the tee.

Around the Grid

Around the Grid in Eighty Days is one of the bigger well known hunts in Second Life and the seventh annual hunt is in full swing until September 30th. That’s a good long time to hunt down some top notch prizes. Happily, there are a lot of good men’s items on the hunt along side the women’s fare. Like these perfect destressed jeans from ZFG. Just look for the red and yellow hot air balloon and a toss in one linden and they’re yours.

A Tropical Treat

Hello there, Fabulouses, and Happy Monday!  This morning, the pupster and I enjoyed a walk on the beach on the Miss C sim before diving in to our work week.  I can’t imagine a better way to start the day than a stroll across damp sand while waves roll in and the cries of seagulls fill the air.

Just a Dollar…

Today, I’m wearing another of our recent hunt discoveries, and I picked it up for just one Linden dollar.  This time, we were exploring the trail of the Around the Grid Hunt, and when Ripley led me to the hot air balloon hunt object, I happily paid the fee and scooped up my prize.  The Tia Tropical Knotted Tank from Sparrow by Design features narrow shoulder straps and a fun parrot/jungle flora print.  The generous designer also included a texture change HUD, which allows you to select from three overall hues.  I opted for the pale purple, but you could also select a brown or a green color scheme.  The neckline of the top dips quite low, so you might want to consider a longer hairstyle for extra coverage.  The texture of the knot and the folds in the fabric are really well done.   This top is a real cutie!

Getting Some Exercise Around the Grid

Hello Fabulouses!  I hope your July is going well.  Ripley and I had a great time camping up in the mountains.  Even though we came back to sizzling temperatures, it feels good to be home.  The pupster didn’t want to eat much while we were away, and I was worried he had lost weight.  He actually gained a pound, so we decided the best thing to do was to hit the hunt trail in SL to get some exercise.  That still counts as exercise, right? 😉

Around the Grid

As we traversed the SL universe, we stopped by Nuts Inc, and Ripley discovered the hot air balloon hunt icon fairly quickly.  One nice thing about the Around the Grid Hunt is if you are short on time, you can pay 25 Linden dollars for the prize, or invest a bit of energy and discover the hidden hunt object and pay just 1 Linden dollar.  Thankfully, with the pupster’s help, I paid a very budget-friendly 1 Linden dollar for this adorable Sari outfit.  I just love the combination of blue and rusty hues in both the top and skirt.  This little number features a cropped top with a tasseled hemline and a mini skirt with two slits to make moving around a breeze.  Although I chose not to wear them, the hunt prize also included sandals and a backpack.  This outfit is compatible with classic and mesh body avatars.  The hunt runs until September 30th, so you have plenty of time to uncover some fabulous prizes.

Beach Hair

My short windswept locks are perfect for a day at the beach.  I picked this new hairstyle up for free as a group gift from Barberyumyum.  It comes only in this sun-kissed blonde color, but I just love it!  With the enclosed HUD, you can adjust the size of the hair to get just the right fit.  The folder includes rigged and non-rigged versions as well as an alpha layer for your scalp.  To add this free gift to your inventory, you need to be a member of the Double Paradox group, but it’s completely free to join.  There are five other gifts set out for group members, too.

Happy Mid-Week, Fabulouses!  It was time for another walk down a country lane for the pupster and I.  Today, we have a fabulous 1L hunt gift to share with you from the Around the Grid hunt, and I hope you like this complete outfit as much as I do!
