Clocks Go Forward

Oh happy day Fabulous readers!  Why am I so happy today you ask?  Every day I wake up we’re one day closer to October, the very best season on the grid.  I wait for it all year, and not so patiently.  August is pushing itself through quickly, which is great, because it’s the most wretched month of the year for me, so hot and humid and hurricaney.  Once September hits, I’m looking ahead to Autumn, and soon after, Halloween. ♥

Time’s a ticking!

I was excited to find this dress as a free gift over at NOVACORE.  Sky did a blog post HERE about a gift he picked up there, so of course I had to show off too 😉   NOVACORE is a small shopping event and there’s no group required to pick up all of the free gifts, so I brought some home.

The dress is a delightful Halloween texture and comes with a hud of Halloween color shimmers, it’s so very pretty!  NOVACORE should be open through August 28th.

Since this is (yet another) craving Halloween post, I had to wear my new earrings in the shape of cats!  I picked them up on Marketplace for 1L and they’re made my E.D.D.A.  They are unrigged with a metal hud.

I’m no spring chicken anymore (ask Porta) so I don’t generally wish for time to tick, unless we’re getting close to October. 😉

The Mask

Yesterday I was in a fort, today I’m behind a mask, I’m sensing a theme here 😉  Although truth be told, I come out of hiding to talk about freebies, so I don’t stay hidden for long.

The order of things

It’s a new round of Midnight Order, that delightfully dark fantasy event by Second Life Syndicate.  This round is chock full of gifts, some male, some female, most unisex and I’m here for it.  Aline blogged some of the female gifts HERE (Phew!) and I put together today’s post with gifts I picked up for the fellas.

Fallen Angel

OK clearly I’m an angel, you all already know this.  I might have fallen, momentarily, but only under the weight of these incredible gifts, so many to talk about so I’ll get right to it. 😉

The order of things

We’ll start with the most obvious, the gifts I got at Midnight Order!  Juli showed you some of the gifts HERE yesterday, and I’m a good follow upper 😉 I love this dark fantasy event, and Second Life Syndicate never fails us with gifts.  I joined the free group and gathered up all these gifts and this is what I’ve got on:

• Free Wings from Jeys (in solid black or glowing embers)
• Free Choker by [KROVA] (in black, gold and silver)
• Free Mouth Key by DETENTION (with locked choker, not shown)

A few things … I didn’t realize you couldn’t see my choker in this pose, but it’s a nice metal choker with a padlock on the front.  The padlock explains the key in my mouth, right? 😉  The key also came with a locked choker, but the lace wasn’t the right vibe for this picture.  Midnight Order is open until February 20th, so plenty of time to head over and shop.  The booths are full of really creative stuff.

Next

I stopped over at Alpha, because of course I did, and I found 2 gifts in the Gabriel booth (not in the center, the one on the backside of the event center).  I think both of these items were gifts before, but always worth mentioning in case you didn’t get them then!  My pants, the Slim Pants in black were 1L in the Gabriel booth.  The group gift for the Alpha event was this nailed crown, which is totally free.  I didn’t need the Alpha group to pick up either of these when I went, score! Alpha is open until February 17th.

Last

I don’t want to forget 2 other great additions to this outfit.  First, my hairstyle, which I picked up at Modulus for only 50L for Fifty Linden Fridays.  No guarantee how long this will stay out, but they do generally stay out through the weekend.  Modulus has 2 different hairstyles on offer for this event this week, so go grab some demos and see if you like one or both.

Last, my tattoo, which is another group gift at [CAROL G].  So many benefits and gifts in this group if you use a lot of tattoos.  The group is currently 200L to join and there’s an entire wall of tattoo gifts you can bring home.

Well, well, well, seems old Milton thought he could wash me into the abyss!  Well, I showed him (sort of lol).  He took me out for about 2 weeks, but I’m back, cuz you can’t keep a girl away from Halloween freebies if she’s determined!
To be honest though, I’ll never forgive him for taking me out of Second Life for 2 weeks of my favorite month of the year.  Yeah, I’m mad about it 😉   Took me a week to get power back and 10 days to get internet, and I don’t even want to talk about the amount of work (or expense) the clean up/repairs are. I am safe, and the house is standing, but there’s nothing like watching the news, and not just seeing the name of your town on the map, but the name of your actual neighborhood that’s about to take the impending doom.  Sheesh this guy Milton, doesn’t know how to take ‘NO’ for an answer.

Missing Out

I’ve been missing out on so many awesome free gifts, I surely want to make sure you’re not missing out either, so I’m going to blog some of my favorite things from events the other bloggers already told you about, as a reminder to get over there.  Today, I’ve got gifts from the 11th Anniversary of Kustom 9 (one of my fav events with or without gifts, and I think Aline said the same lol) I brought home all these fun items:
