Happy Friday, Fab Free!  Gus and I are popping in quickly to share a free group gift and a Fifty Linden Friday goodie.  Together, they create a stylish outfit that will keep you warm while you explore the wonders of wintertime SL.

Cozy Up

The inspiration for today’s post came from this free, chunky Monogatari dress from Ohmai.  It features a beautiful cabled texture, a scooped asymmetrical neckline, and side slits on the curved hem.  Ribbing on the cuffs helps lock in warmth.  Its oversized, loose fit enhances comfort and keeps the look casual.  Although there wasn’t a version for LaraX in the folder, I was able to wear the dress by adjusting the alpha layer in my HUD and making some strategic hair placement adjustments.  To scoop up a copy of this sweater for yourself, you must be a member of the Ohmai VIP group, and there is a 99L$ join fee.  The folder includes a pair of coordinating sandals and a headset that I opted not to wear.

Chase the Cold Away

I wrapped the Faith Muffler from C’est La Vie around my neck to ward off winter breezes.  This knitted scarf features a ribbed texture and fringe trim on the ends.  It’s unrigged, so you can adjust it for the perfect fit for your avatar.  The accessory comes in two texture packs that are priced at just 50L$ each for the Fifty Linden Fridays sale.  With the enclosed HUD, you can select from 10 colors in each pack.  This is sure to become a winter-weather staple in my wardrobe, and you can’t beat the price!  The sale runs through January 18th.

Plastic Bag

These are actually some of my favorite fashion designs in both lives, the weird and original.  I was super excited to see that Afterglow is back and there’s 2 new group gifts, and this one was singing to me! 😉

Be weird

I cannot shout that advice loud enough!  The world needs more weird people, and by weird, I mean authentic.  Wear what you want to wear, be who your heart tells you to be and celebrate you!

So here I am, wearing a plastic bag and an ogre hat, and I couldn’t be happier.  Let’s get into some of the details where you, too, can get all this for free. First, my outfit is the newest group gift from Afterglow.  Reading their post on Primfeed, it seems as though the group will be free to join and the 2 new group gifts will be free to grab until the end of January.  If you haven’t embraced your weird side, or just don’t enjoy wearing a plastic bag LOL, there’s also a very pretty normal outfit to pick up.  This one is a top and shorts with store writing and scribble on it, with a five color hud, plus the bag dress which also has  a five color hud.  This one is rigged for:

My ogre hat is a dollarbie you can get on Marketplace.  Aline featured it back in November in Fab Finds and it’s just my thing.  It’s made by Tanuki, and it’s a full fatpack because it has a tint hud! Almost free!

Of course, who wants to wear a plastic bag without having some Kawaii ice cream?  I found mine over at Axia, and the group is temporarily free to join.   back up to 50L to join.  Nonetheless I’m sure the ice cream is still there a long with some other cute group gifts you can pick up for that group join cost!
