Never Forget About Your Inner Warrior

Today, I’m embarking on a new campaign to fight evil forces invading my kingdom, Silvandor.  Come along for the adventure!

A Force to Be Reckoned With

When I first saw the Arthemis Tales vendor by Akai Ito at the NextUp Event, I was captivated by the long, white, flowing gown.  I could see myself as the heroine of a princess tale with my loyal Gus by my side.  However, that was not to be.  Up next on the vendor was the Warrior Outfit for just 75L$, and suddenly, my vision changed to Fearless Warrior Wren, in a dark woodland, protecting my kingdom from intruders.  The rest is history.  I paid the fee, then scampered home to try on my new outfit.  The package includes a bralette top with a leather shoulder strap, a belted skirt with an asymmetrical hemline, peasant boots, and bracers/gloves (that I sadly forgot to wear for my photo).  The entire ensemble has a Middle Earth vibe that is perfect for role-play.  It’s not my fairy tale princess fantasy, but I love it!

Forbidden Realms

Of course, I needed a fierce pose to accompany my new outfit, and I traveled to one of my favorite pose stores, Le Poppycock to see what I could find.  Along the left wall in the shop, there are displays, which are similar to the sales boards at the NextUp Event.  The Forbidden Realms vendor offers seventeen poses for sale that are perfect for the new Fearless Warrior Wren.  Below the display, a sign indicates which pose is for sale, along with a timer that counts down until another random pose will be offered.  Each variation costs 75L$, and honestly, I felt many of them would work with my vision.  I happily scooped up #7 “Death to Foes.” The package included the pose, a quiver, and the bow.  I love the way the pose captures the moment when I am pulling an arrow from the quiver!

I’m off to defend Silvandor from invading orcs and uruk hai.

Wasting Away Again

I was excited to do some sale shopping this morning, but I’m feeling a bit out of sorts. That calls for a bikini and a beach…ideally with a beach bar nearby. These requirements led me right to Kona Beach, where I discovered a carnival in full swing. There’s lots to see and do, so definitely check it out before it ends at the end of the month. But for right now I’m just here for the beach.

The Bikini

The itty bitty bikini is one I’ve been meaning to show you. It’s from 13Avenue and I’m really enjoying that store, the overall vibe is fantastic and the quality is great too. My swimsuit is certainly no exception. The top, bottom, and belly chain are separate pieces and they come with a HUD that lets you change each independently to this checked pattern in a nice variety of colors. The 13Avenue group is free to join and the group gift is also free. So why not?

It’s 2024, weren’t we promised that we’d all be walking around with a computer as glasses by now?  Smart glasses, like Google Glass, never really took off, did they?  Well, thankfully we have SL to help us imagine the future, and I found everything I needed in one spot.

Gift Coma

I stopped over at Comatosed last week, for something I found in weekend sales.  While I was there, I noticed at the other end of the store is an elevator to old releases, so why not check those out too?  When I TP’d down, I found a whole wall of group gifts and the group was only 10L to join.  There’s about 10 gifts.  I call those dollarbies 😉  Let’s start with the clothes!

My shirt and shorts are both a group gift at Comatosed.  The Lici shorts and shirt are a set (and there’s also Lici pants as another gift).  The shirt comes in multiple texture/graphic/colors and the shorts come with a full color hud.  They are rigged for:

The clothing is baggy though, so worth trying on other bodies to see if they’ll work with some alpha.

My computer glasses are also a gift at Comatosed – the K A M I K A Z E glasses.  They’re mod and tintable, so you can change the color and the glow.

Lastly, this cool tattoo on my eye, I also picked up as a gift.  Tales of a Dragon comes in fresh and faded reddish henna colors.  It’s made for EvoX maps.  Kind of gives me the cool factor I needed for this post. 😉

I don’t think I can TP directly to the older gifts section as the landing point is forced.  Again, just head to the store, walk straight to the elevator ahead and TP down to the older section.  It was great to secure a full outfit for 10L!
