Morning Fabs!  I was pleasantly surprised when I saw Aline’s post last week about the anniversary at The Astrophe Event with gifts.  I try to keep a list of anniversaries (so I can guess if Ill have something to blog or need to go find something) and I had this down in November.  Just last month though, there were gifts in pumpkins at The Astrophe Event and I was all confuzzled.  Thanks for clearing that up Aline, and yay for more free gifts!

Sweet and saucy

As it is at The Astrophe Event, a lot of the gifts are free, and some of the gifts have a cost.  I brought home a bunch of free gifts, and then I paid 50L for this outfit.  So worth it!  I’m cute and comfy and refreshed from my nap!  Here’s some of what I brought home:

• 50L outfit from EUTHA (with a 5 color hud, sized for Lara X, Legacy, Reborn)
• Free Earrings from ASCENT (with metal and pearl hud)
• Free Mdrugz Plushie from GRABZ (resizeable with 2 different holds)

 

I believe I needed the group to get the gift from Ascent, and the group is 1L to join.  The gift from GRABZ was 1L refunded with no group needed, so that was totally free.  This isn’t the event to drop into and go click crazy, stay focused!  The Astrophe Event is open until November 25th.

Sometimes The Sky Needs A Good Cry

Oh my, I had to hop in the Wayback Machine to find the song lyrics for my title today. Google didn’t even know what I was talking about until I typed half the lyrics into the search bar, but I prevailed. ANYWAY, enough about that. I’ve got a pile of freebies to show off!

Blue

The Blue SL Event is celebrating it’s anniversary. I tped over to investigate, and yes, in true SL fashion, that are anniversary gifts at almost every booth. Join the free event group and the gifts are free. I found these free things to show off today:

• Free sweater in beige that is cropped within an inch of it’s life (don’t edit me Aline, I made sure I was decent-ish lol) from Eutha, sized for Legacy, Perky, Prima Busta, Reborn, and Waifu. You will notice that Maitreya is not on that list and here I am wearing it, but I’ve found that I can typically fit Legacy on LaraX with minimal alpha usage.
• Free umbrella from Pixel Box, with or without poses
• Free hair from SaiGon that works with the included hairbase

This event was definitely an opportunity for me to try different designers and styles that I don’t typically go for, and that’s always a good thing. There’s lots of variety here and it’s certainly worth checking out.

The anniversary round of the Blue SL Event started yesterday and will last until December 8th.

You Can Do Magic

I’m gonna tell you guys a RL story about this song …. I come from an age of making mix tapes recorded from the radio (what?).  Back then, you could also call your local radio station for ‘dedication hour’ and dedicate a song to someone.  When I was but a small child, a friend dedicated a song to me on the radio, and it was preceded by this song “You Can Do Magic”.  It’s more engrained in my memory than the actual dedication lol.

I had this picture taken since before October, and I was waiting until magical month to blog it.  Then, we had a hurricane, and I was out for 2 weeks, and there were so many gifts when I got back I put this on the backburner.  Good news is, it’s still there 😉  This is the Fluffy dress, and it’s a group gift from Eutha, a new to me store.  The group is free to join, and this dress is adorable, and it’s a fatpack too!  It comes sized for:

Accessorize your magic

I had picked up these group gifts over at [Apika] at some point when I was shopping, and was waiting for the perfect purple-y outfit.  My crystal choker (in purple) and my spiky septum ring were group gifts there.  The [Apika] group is free to join, and I think Allison recently blogged some make up or body enhancements she found there 😉

Last but never least, my magical bottle is yet another free gift at La Maldita Bruja.  It was created to go with an outfit she has for sale, it’s called Befana Bottle, because there’s so many gifts there you may need area search to find it.  No group is needed for her gifts, just buy them for 0L.  Check out her outfits though, I don’t think I’ve ever found one that costs over 150L.  Such a great bargain, that store.
