Looming Moon

Hi there Fabulous readers!  I have put together another super affordable and mostly free outfit today that I hope you like…  At least like enough to go and pick up some of the pieces that suit your personal style.  I’m going to start with news about the hair, because free hair always seems to be a big hit here at FabFree lol.

You can find the Keene hairstyle that I am wearing today as a free midnight mania board prize at Moon.  This style comes in their essentials pack so it includes a ton of shades from different colour packs, making it a good find no matter what your box number is.  This is the non-group board, so you don’t even need to be in the group to participate – just show up early enough in the day to get in on it before it locks down!

The Jana Skinny Jeans are a new free gift at LOOM that you can pick up after you activate your free inworld group tag.  Maitreya, Belleza, Slink, Fitmesh, and standard mesh sizing are included.

My Ginny Sweater (3L) and Salome Flats (1L) are available as wearable dollarbie demos in the Orange*Pekoe marketplace store.  There is no mention of demo on these items, they are just in the orange*pekoe colours as shown :).

ps. TIP:  I wore the Maitreya version of the Jana Skinny Jeans with the standard mesh size Ginny Sweater, but unfortunately the jeans went through the sweater in a bad way.  I solved this problem by adjusting my shape butt size and saddle bag sliders down until the jeans no longer poked through the sweater.  Make sure you save as…  (something else), not just save or you will have altered your orginal shape.  I use this trick a lot, and I thought someone else might appreciate the idea!

Boots and Feathers

I’ll admit… a good pair of boots gets me going. And a good pair of FREE boots is even better! So when I found out that Belle Epoque was starting out their new main-store location with a gift of FREE boots (in three colors – brown, black, and grey)… I was in! The style is spot on for a country or boho look and they don’t require any special feet! Woo hoo! You’ll need to join the group to grab the gift, but that is FREE too! As a quick note, the boots are mesh and like many mesh items don’t resize. So depending upon your avatar’s shape and/or size, you may have to adjust your sliders to fit the boots.

I decided to go “Boho” with the boots and popped onto the marketplace, where I found this oldie but goodie dress for 1L. This Boho Culture Preview Dress is from 2013 and though it has a tiny bit of logo print at the bottom left of the dress… the print blends in so nicely (as you can see in the picture above) that it’s hardly noticeable. The dress is wonderful and definitely worth 1L! I’d have paid far more!

I wanted to give you a close up of my boots (see the picture above). But it also gave me a chance to show off my rope and feathers accessory that I found! And I think the head piece and necklace — a mere 10L on the marketplace to get you both pieces — are a perfect complement to this look! This Head and Necklace Ropes by Sweet Lies comes in both scripted or unscripted (for resize purposes) and is perfectly textured. I LOVE the feathers! Well worth 10L and then some!
