Crazy Crazy Cat Lady

Meow, FabFree-ers!

As y’all might remember, I’m a crazy cat lady in RL. So I’m wondering if Nani Poses put this ‘Crazy Cat Lady’ Gacha out at the OMGacha Fair just for me! This is one of two different rares on the ten pose machine and I was lucky enough to pull it.  Each pose comes with it’s own cat or collection of cats. The nice thing is it’s only 50L per play so… I admit… I played a bunch.

Just a machine or two down… I found these adorable ‘Kitty Ear Stretcher’ earrings from Secrets. There are ten common colors in both silver and black and four rares. The earring comes with a resize script so if you don’t fancy the ‘stretcher’ look you can resize it down to look more like a regular earring. I sized mine up to fit my already stretched lobes.

So now I knew I needed to do a “cat crazy” post and 1313 Mockingbird Lane supplied more inspiration with these fantastic ‘Crazy Cat Lady Slippurs’. These cuties are Belleza and Maitreya Mesh body compatible as well as compatible with the system feet and SLink flat feet.

The I saw Toxic High’s ‘Hold a Kitty’ gacha and well, who doesn’t want to hold a kitty? I picked up ‘Gothic Kitty’ to cuddle with for only 35L per play.

I still wasn’t done with OMGacha…. My new hair style is from Doe and it’s called Bryn. I pulled the solid colored style but it also comes in a double color version. The machine is 75L to play. I’d never had a hair from Doe and I have to say I’m very impressed with the color and the build.

But there’s still not enough cats in this post! So I headed over to the Marketplace and found the ‘My Little Kitty’ set from Stressless for only 2L. The set comes with the purple dress and a set of purple heels for SLink High Feet if you want to wear it as an “out and about” outfit. I am choosing to wear it more like lounge wear so I added the purple ‘Knitted Leggings’ from Enai, also from the Marketplace, for 1 little Linden.

Whew… that’s a bunch of kitties… I think my KittyCats Nox and Flurry are getting jealous……

Stardust

Hello Fab Free! So not only does this post contain some great finds, it’s also my little Fab Free virtual tribute to the indescribable David Bowie. For a fan such as me, it’s hard to imagine that his time with us is truly over. Another person wrote that they were not sad, but grateful for his time here. I feel much the same way, grateful that I lived when he lived and had the opportunity to see and hear the way he changed the world forever.

Mr. Bowie heavy on my mind, how could I not also think of his iconic persona, Ziggy Stardust. I put together this uber cute outfit with Ziggy Stardust as my inspiration. The possibilities are infinite when trying to put together an outfit, from the flaming red hair and the often theatrical makeup he often wore. I felt this jumper from Stix was well suited to the task. These playful rompers are available at the current round of Oh My Gacha for just 50 lindens per play. In a lot of ways they do remind me of the bodysuits and jumpsuits Ziggy Stardust was known to wear. Each color of these fun rompers includes a system layer, a TMP applier, and an Omega applier.

I have to say I spent quite a bit of time hunting down the perfect something to add to this outfit, the romper from Stix alone just was not enough for me. I found that something in this Blazer from Luas. This mesh blazer has those very structured shoulders that make me think of 1980s divas and of course, David Bowie in his Ziggy style. This blazer from Luas is available on the Marketplace for just 60 lindens per color.

So last but not least, the one piece that makes the look truly a tribute to the late great Bowie, the zig-zag lightening bolt face paint. This really could be no one else. The makeup is FREE on the Marketplace from a shop called Avanti. I was thrilled to find it, and even more so when I tried the applier. This FREE Marketplace gift from Avanti includes a system tattoo layer and an Omega applier.

Catching The Last Bus To Friday!

January started the New Year with a bang and it is going to end in a flurry of great clothes hunting as the Menstuff hunt begins anew. It’s kind of like January came in like a lion and is going out like a slightly bigger lion! If that isn’t enough to put a smile on your face, then the free shoes round-up coming tomorrow surely will. January will go down as a great month to be a guy on SL.

Hawker’s House is a quality men’s clothing store, so it’s a shame I have not had the occasion to mention it much in my posts. They have made very nice clothing and deserve some special attention. When I popped by to pick up this month’s free group gift at the store, I was pleased to see it was the Men’s Mesh Dress Vest and Slacks – Gainsboro. Its light, informal look has the slightly-rumpled casual look which I love wearing. (In my real life, “casual” means I wear my tie looser and let my collar flap freely in the breeze. Put yo’ hood up, Orange County!) The Gainsboro consists of a white shirt, a black tie and the matching vest and slacks. Each of the items are separate pieces of Mesh and come in five sizes to make fitting easier. The textures are well done and the complete outfit is quite stylish. Hawker’s House‘s group joiner is free, so pick this up and give it a try. I bet you will like it as much as I do!

The eyes I chose to wear with this outfit are a prize from The Fresh Start hunt. Inkheart is offering this attractive light green pair of eyes called the Reverie Eyes in Hope as their hunt prize. They look great with the light gray in the vest and slacks! The hunt object you are looking for is a yellow star.
