The song for this blog post was pretty clear, it’s written all over my dress. My son told me I should pick some other random song from Top Gun just to mess with you all, but this song is very very much stuck in my head, and this is my only chance to rid myself of it.
Salvage
Anything with the word ‘salvage’ in the title is my kind of thing. I grew up picking salvage yards and antique stores and I’ve never stopped. I love, love, love things we can reuse from an older time into the modern world. In today’s case, it’s a shopping event put on by Second Life Syndicate, featuring goodies for a post-apocalyptic world called Salvage Station.
In true SLS fashion, there’s some free gifts scattered throughout the event. I came home with quite a few:

Today I’m basking in a park full of giant trees. I’ve been to several areas of California that have gigantic trees. One of my favorite spots is a stste park, Calaveras Big Trees. It it one of those places where you can marvel at nature and bask in it’s ambience. You can lay back & look way up into the sky to see the tops of the trees. It does remind one that in this universe we are but one small part.
I’m oozing incandescence this morning. I wasn’t planning on seeing this when I snapped this photo but it is cool and is a great example of how windlights can change the look of textures in SL. Today’s outfit, Harley, is one I won in a lucky chair at WebDew. I pop over to the store every few days and stalk the chairs as needed. There are three free non-group lucky chairs!
Harley is a short overall. It is nicely crafted. The texture on Harley is named holographic berry. I didn’t see the holographics before I took my picture. There is a belt in the package and I have no idea why I didn’t wear it. Another rough week. Anyhow, the belt has a texture change hud for the jewels.

Here in my neck of the woods, it’s spring already. The sun is shining and the temps are climbing into the 80s (26ish for those of you on the smart system lol). That being said, I recognize that February is a very cold month for a lot of people, so it was prudent of me to give you another cold weather blog post 😉

Of course, a Valentine’s Shop & Hop post from me wouldn’t be complete without me wearing something on my head, so I picked this adorable headband from LOVE Fashion.
