Adieus, Pigeons, and Zombies

Coming to you as a zombie for this post is very apropos because it shall be my last. I am going to join the land of the unliving, in the Second Life world only. It has been very emotional to make this decision but real life calls and it is the best choice for me to give up blogging and consistent SLife for now.

Unlike a zombie though, I hope to live once more and return one day. Fabulously Free in SL is an amazing blog with a talented and wonderful group of writers AND readers! Fret not about me leaving though because with my adieu, I bring some delightful goodies!

I was so very glad to be able to explore a intricately artistic sim for this, my last post. Immersiva is made by Bryn Oh and she is stunningly talented! The whole place starts with a death-defying set of stairs that wind up into the sky. It made my heart drop more than once because there is no flying in the region!

Once you miraculously make it to the top, the experience takes you on a journey through the story of a lady named Imogen who wishes she was one of the pigeons outside of her psych ward window. She fashions herself a dress to look like a pigeon and the rest of the story is quite enthralling…it is a must see through to the end! The scripts and engineering Bryn Oh did for the project are very interactive and impressive and the poetry is gripping!

My first picture above shows a great freebie pose from SAAL at FabFree Headquarters (It is labeled as Faces Studios though). It also comes with a male pose as well (not shown). Unfortunately, my pose directly above was free as the SAAL August Group Gift but is no longer available.

I am wearing The Party Halter Dress and fishnet tights in red from B!ASTA, their September Group Gift.

The best of my look (in my opinion) is the MiaSnow Zombina Brainlicker skin. It is the new gift from MiaSnow at FFHQ. Included are the Zombie eyes I am wearing. It also comes with some things I did not show…like a Zomboy skin, black eyelid tattoo layer, some fun mouth attachments, a balloon to hold, a mossy creepy black tree, and a rainbow particle effect

Hello lovelies! I am not only a faun wandering atop the The Labyrinth of Time, but I am a faun on a mission to bring you a bunch of freebies with this post!

My mesh skirt is from Banger Island Creations. It is the Plum Cute Mini Skirt that is BIC‘s FFHQ free gift. The top is from <BIC> as well. The Grid Crossback Tank is their September Group Gift.

Above you can see the 6 colors of the mesh <BIC> tank as well as the FFHQ gift hair from ChiChikie. The blonde and red is the AJ hair in copper and honey. The white hair is Zoey. Next is Piper II in mahogany. The ChiChikie gift at FFHQ also includes one other hair, not shown. Lastly, I’m bald in the bottom picture because I wanted to show how the skin comes with a bold shaved head. The Faun Ditto Pale Zee Skin is only 10L at the  [VoiD] Discount Outlet store.

My shoes are not free, sadly, but I could not resist showing you these amazingly detailed Divine Wedge Boots from ::Miss Canning::. They are 229L and come with a HUD to switch between the 8 colors. Aren’t they fab?

The Okinawa Summer Festival ends today! Sad face! But don’t let it pass you by without getting this adorable freebie there! This cute little lion doll is super cute and he’s looking for a home. I hope you come adopt him! 😉

Another neat freebie at the Okinawa Summer Festival is this lion statue. I know it’s a bit of a culture mashup since I am on the Tromsoe Norwegian sim, but we had fun venturing around there.

Summer is winding down for me as I just got back from my last vacation.

Do you have any more vacations planned? I also went on a little vacay to Baja Norte in SL.

I am wearing the adorable Summer Hangover Hunt (ends Saturday 08/31) prize from SAKIDE. You can change between 9 colors of the mesh top and 8 of the mesh shorts using a HUD. I adore these shorts! That is a quote from one of my favorite movies…the gist of the story is a little girl during the Francoist regime in Spain copes with her hardships by going into this fantasy world…but in the end, is it fantasy really? Or was she destined to arrive at that place?

During my nooby days in Second Life I was going through some hard things in real life and always dressed as a faun. A couple years later when a bad SL relationship ended I went back to being a faun. For me, being a faun is a comfort place of fantasy where I do not have to abide by the rules of reality. Do not worry, nothing is wrong now…it is just nice to return to a place of peace and refreshment. Where is your comfort place?

Hey lovelies! How has your week been?

It has been a busy week for me but I am ready to catch up on blogging the freebies for you all!

The FabFree Designer of the day is Vogue (check it out here) but when I saw their current group gift…I didn’t think of “strike a pose” or a runway ready look for the cover of the magazine. The nerd in me spoke up and said “Vogue group gift…I chose you!” 😛 Since I was addicted to them in middle school, I am totally unashamed to say that I thought of the cutest little yellow Pokémon, but a more anthropomorphic version.
