Beachy Blues

Happy Friday, Fabulous Readers!  I really don’t know where this week has gone.  It was Sunday night, I blinked, and now it’s Friday!  Have you ever had weeks like that?  We are down three team members at my rl work, and I am putting in extra hours until they’ve all been onboarded.  Soon, things will return to normal.  Gus and I are enjoying some much needed down time at the beach.  While he has fun playing with crab friends, I’m enjoying this Blue Hawaiian cocktail while wearing my new free outfit.

Coastal Blue and Crisp White

The hues of my new Ruffle-trim Top and Midi Pleated Skirt made me think of the ocean, so even though it’s not beachwear, I scurried on over to the Baja Coast for some me time.  This two-piece free gift from S@BBiA can carry you from a casual workday to a dinner out, depending on how you accessorize.  The frilly top features ruffled trim, cap sleeves, and a light dusty blue fabric.  Its fit narrows in at the waist, emphasizing your curves.  A soft, white mid-length skirt offers freedom of movement with its generous pleats.  Come to think of it, I *could* dip my toes in the water and walk along the edge of the beach without worrying about my skirt getting damp.  Maybe it is just a tiny bit beachwear!

Well let’s kick of Pride month in style, shall we Fabs?  It’s one of my (and Beachy’s) favorite months in SecondLife.  She’s stuck at work for a bit, so I’m going to launch our Pride posts!  There’s a million reasons to love Pride, the first one being that I love my friends and neighbors and communities.  Yeah I know most of the time I pretend I don’t like ‘people’ but the truth is, I love all the kind ones.   Can we mention how colorful this month will be?  All across SecondLife and on Prim Feed and FLICKR and right here at Fab Free there will be color everywhere, yay!  Last but never least, all the events and free gifts!  If you’re new to SecondLife you’re about to be amazed by how much our creators love us, they’ll shower us with rainbow gifts so we can frolic across the regions wearing them 🌈

Shiny and Bright

Now, a lot of the Pride celebrations will start today, some are slated for later in the month, but I’m bringing you some gifts from previous Pride celebrations that are still available.   I found my shirt over at Cold Ash when I was just doing some regular old shopping.  It’s not located with the group gifts, but I found it on the wall with the other colors of this Bradley T-shirt.  The store has a forced landing, just head right into the men’s side.  In the first aisle, on the right about halfway down you’ll find the Bradley shirts and this Pride version is free there on the wall.  Buy it for 0L and bring it home, no group required.  It is rigged for:

A few weeks back Beachy blogged some sunglasses from sacredsquare she got for free just by subscribing.  I went over there too, of course, and subscribed myself and came home with a few cool pair of glasses.  Today I’m wearing ‘Proud’ by sacredsquare.  I thought I already had these, but I did not, I had ‘Pride’ so these are newer.  They come in a regular pair or a folded pair with a fatpack hud for the metal and the lenses.  The rainbow effect on my lenses is subtle and gets washed out a little from the light, but these are some sweet shades you all need.  They are unisex, so everyone can bring them home for free.  There’s a subscriber hud you purchase for 0L to subscribe, and then click all the gifts and bring them home.

Really looking forward to this month.  I may fake it well (or not) but I do love the love. 🌈

Oh this time of year, where everyone is eagerly awaiting the beginning of fall, which in my part of the world, won’t be here for months.  I’m lucky if I’ll see a fall day by Christmas 😛

This means I get to make hot and summery posts for ages yet, and given the skimpiness of a lot of clothing in Second Life, I should have plenty to blog 😉   Case in point, this adorable outfit, which is perfect for a hot summer day, and I found it at Avantage!  They have a bunch of gifts on the wall, and the group is free to join, so I figured I’d show you what all you could come home with for free.

Better on a Beach

Beach, please.

This pose, a free gift at PO$H is perfect to convey how I’m feeling this moment.  It’s called Not Right Now, and it’s by L’Armour Poses.  Everyone always trying to pull me off the beach and make do menial life things like laundry, dishes and work.  This is 2024, so to all of you trying to impede on my self care and relaxation I say to you “Not Right Now!” (but check back next year. lol)
