Game Over

Ahhhhhh this is more like it.  All my obligatory festivities are over, which is good, because that holiday spirit only lasts for so long 😉  Now, I get to relax in peace and solitude with this cool doggo I met at the campground.

Overload

The holidays are always such an overload for me, the people, the food, and let’s not forget the gifts here in SL.  Beachy popped in and showed you some gifts from the FWRD event (and poked fun at my holiday spirit) HERE and as she mentioned, I’m following along and showing you some of my favorites. There are just as many gifts for men there as women and the FWRD group is free to join.  I came home with  giant folder of stuff, let’s talk about what I got.

I’m absolutely overwhelmed by the amount of generosity this holiday season, especially for men!  Beachy told me I’d blog one day a week, but she’s overworking me, remind me to ask her for a bonus 😛

You will have to act fairly quickly, the FWRD event opens on the 14th of every month, but it closes on Jan 4th.

Now back to gaming and petting doggos, my comfort zone.

She Hates Me

I might look like I’m pouting in this picture, but it’s really just a bit of self-reflection. No matter where you are in life, it’s just the most important thing to love yourself. Everyone else can just …. well, you pick. lol

Soft Spot

A lot of times I’m pretty hard on myself, probably because I’m an only child and we have that perfectionist syndrome stuff. That being said, I do keep a soft spot for myself deep inside my heart, and access it when I most need to.

This week, I found another soft spot, a shopping event called the Soft Era. There’s some adorable things you can buy, and in addition, there’s some mystery gifts you can pick up for free. Now, that’s treating yourself right!

These gifts are between 0L and 10L so be aware when you’re clicking boxes. I’m showing you some of the gifts I brought home for free today:

The earrings are a little hard to see in the picture, but they’re just sweet simple bows, perfect for an understated but adorable look.

Also to note, I’m wearing the full set of makeup, but it also comes in separate BOM layers so you can wear the eyeshadow, blush, glitter, lipstick all separately if you want.

This event opened on Nov. 6 and will remain open until Nov. 27th.

Lost In My Mind

Everyone needs to take time now and again to contemplate and reflect on life.  I needed such a moment this week, and took it.  There’s no better place to sit and figure things out than an ode to your childhood, where you felt warm and loved and problem-free.   Ah, a tire swing.

I still look cool tho

Because of course I do.  Even when you’re inside your own head, it’s good to reflect being put together well on the outside 😉  I had help this time from L’Homme Magazine.  This men’s magazine comes out quarterly, and the group is free to join.  There’s both a page in the magazine and a notecard in the group notices that tells you which stores have gifts to celebrate this edition.  I picked mine up and promptly put myself together.  These are some of the gifts I brought home:

• Free Jacket from IMPACTS (sized for: Jake, Gianni, Legacy, Aesthetic, Kario with a FP hud of textures)
• Free Glasses from BONDI (full color and metal hud)
• Free Earrings from MadRat (for Swallow S gauged ears with a metal hud)

These free gifts usually stay out until the next edition of the magazine is released, which is quarterly, so for once, there’s no rush.  I would suggest joining the group right away and grabbing the NC in notices, because it’s much easier to read than the magazine page when it comes time to collect your gifts.

Male-centric

In addition to the gifts I listed above (in which I think the jacket actually says “The Men” on the sleeves) there are 2 free gifts I found over at the newest round of the Manhood Event.  The group to pick up these gifts is free to join, and you can bring home these great pants from [Gild].   They have a tight cuff at the ankle and are a nice slim fit while not being skin tight.
