How Much For That Dragon’s Tooth

This might be a long post y’all, because all these gifts are simply amazing and I have to much to say about each one, but also, I want to explain a little about this MadPea hunt, The Lore of the Lost Dragon Eggs, and how you can complete it too!

First, let’s start with all these prizes.  There are 20 prizes you can nab on this hunt.  The hunt hud costs 100L but that works out to just 5L per prize, what a steal.  There are 20 prizes made in collaboration with Madpea from 20 different designers on the grid!  Let me show you some of what I’ve won!

First, this dress.  This Lady Targaryan dress by UNA is gorgeous.  The golden armor top with the long brown skirt.  A must have for any dragon tamer!  Sized for :

The horns, from Tentacio, of course are a perfect complement.  They come with a color hud to change the horn color and the strap color and they’re a perfect match to the dress.

Next, this animesh Dragon’s Tome by Aardvark.  This book is amazing you guys.  See the giant dragon eye on the front?  It’s animesh!  Not only does it look around, it blinks, and all the dragon wrinkles move with it.  It’s truly unique and gorgeous.

Then there’s this little Dragon Fly flying around me.  This is another animesh prize from Tardfish.  When you attach it, it flies around your avatar and your avatar does a little animation to shoosh the dragon fly away.  I’m really blown away with all these prizes!

To top it off, the picture was taken on a backdrop prize from The Bearded Guy!  I couldn’t show you the full Dragon Island backdrop or you wouldn’t see the detail of everything else, but it has a dragon cave and a giant dragon footprint filled with water in the sand.

100L for the hud… totally worth it.

But wait, there’s more!

The Lore of the Lost Dragon Egg hunt consists of a radar hud you buy at Madpea for 100L.  (If you’re a competitive pea and want achievements, there’s a hud for 500L that also comes with some extras)  You accept the hud experience and it has a button to tp you to each location there are lost eggs.  You use the radar on the hud to find each egg, which will provide essence to grow your very own dragon eggs into a fully grown dragon!  That’s right!  Not only do you get all these prizes, you get your own animesh dragon too (or maybe many!)  We’re still in the first phase of this hunt, collecting essence, the dragon eggs haven’t been released yet, but they will be.  The Madpea group is super helpful in explaining how it works, be careful not to ask about spoilers in the chat though.  The group is free to join, if you need help hunting.

The key to this hunt is, not giving up.  It can be time consuming, because you need a lot of essence to grow a dragon, so you’ll need to hunt beyond the time it takes you to win all the prizes, but also, you can do it intermittently, I make a few stops a day, and many more if I’m not busy.  One of my favorite things about a Madpea hunt too is, it takes you all across the grid.  Gorgeous sims, clubs, people showing off their homes, stores attracting business.  Anyone can buy dragon eggs and put them out for hunters, so you never know where you’ll end up, I’ve been to some doozy places 😉

The Lore of the Lost Dragon Eggs hunt runs until April 2nd, so there’s time, but get started soon.  You’ll want to collect as much as you can while the hunt is on.  Not only for prizes, and the essence to grow dragons, but also each egg you find gives you points you can spend on other prizes made by Madpea.   Stuff your inventory full Fabs!

Chasing The Sun

The best part about Second Life, is the ability to do things you cannot do in regular life, and wear things you’d never dream to wear too 😉  This ‘top’ for instance.  It’s more of a cascading jewelry piece that draws attention to your breasts, but with the right pasties, it could be a top.  The magic of SL.  I’ve been hanging on to it, just waiting to find the right piece of clothing to pair it with and I’m finally there.

Last week I used another one of the Romazin group gift jewelry sets in a post, and I’ve been looking for the right way to show off this top.  The top comes with a full metal and gem hud so you can suit it to anything you find.  Gold metal and red gems were perfect today.  The Romazin group is free to join, and above the desk in the store you’ll find a poster and all the gifts will deliver in one folder when you click it.   It is a rather regal piece, and it comes sized for Maitreya and Legacy bodies.

Royalty

The skirt I paired my top with, is a group gift for the SLF&O group at Arkona.  It’s called the Royal skirt, and according to the vendor poster, is a tribute to royal Russian clothing design.  I certainly feel like royalty in this outfit.  Once I saw the gold accents on the skirt, I knew immediately it was meant to be paired with the Romazin top.  The SLF&O  group is free to join, so just slap on that tag and pick it up.  It comes sized for:

Glittering Prize

I love this outfit.  I really dig an avant garde look, or at least a unique one!  When I find a wild outfit to put together, I love coming to What’s Lost Spirits to take my blog pictures, it’s such a black glittery wonderland of weird!

Remember that phrase?  We couldn’t escape it for years.  Oy, Charlie.  Well, he may have thought he had the lock on that phrase, but I was actually WINNING and here we are.  I won this outfit free on the Midnight Mania board at VOOH recently!  This is a separate top and skirt, with a full fatpack hud of colors to change the top, skirt, buttons, trim.  There’s a million combinations you can make!  VOOH recently sent out a message that her hard drive blew up and she lost all of her work, which is so tragic. Can you imagine?  I feel awful for her, so I surely wanted to support her by bringing some attention and traffic to the store.  Perfect timing that she has this outfit on her MM, that it’s rigged for Lara X too, and also, it should be there for a bit because she has to start from scratch on new gifts and prizes (I’m so sorry girl)  This MM board is free to play, no group required.  It’s sized for so many bodies too:

I was so happy that I found something equally wild and free to accessorize this outfit with, and I found it at Vesta.  Now, I’d never heard of this store, which is why I love hunts!  They are participating in the Wayward Hunt, and I found these group gifts while I was there hunting!  It’s mainly an accessory store, and this awesome group gift Bocc hat for pride is exactly what I needed.  It comes with a full color hud to change the look of the hat completely should you choose.

Also added are the Amel earrings, which almost look like cabinet pulls in my ears.  I dig it.  It’s something my grandmother would have had.  This might be an avant garde post, but wearing an antique or vintage design with something new is still fresh 😉  Again, these come with a full color hud, a fatpack for free!

Things Get So Crazy

Today is a good day. Why, you ask? Because I got to spend 1200L of free store credit! Who doesn’t love a shopping spree for free?

Real talk – Sweet Slave is a bit risque. And by a bit, I mean that I saw more boobs than not-boobs while I was there. BUT it’s fun, sexy stuff. If you’re into that, than read on. Hot Stuff

The second half of my shopping spree took place at Hot Stuff. 500L of free store credit is waiting there for you, 250L for pink vendors and 250L for yellow vendors. When you land and activate your free group tag, you’ll click on the two separate signs to claim each 250L credit. As you’re shopping, you’ll notice that some vendors are outlined in yellow and others in pink. The free credits have to be used for their respective vendors colors. I picked up something more subtle with mine, the moles on my face. I love a good avatar enhancement and this one fits the bill. The store is mostly clothing, but I was in the mood for something a bit different. The moles cost me 199L and therefore were free with the free store credit. They are made for both Catwa HD Pro/Genesis and Lelutka Evox.

The Hot Stuff group is typically paid, but right now until September 15th it is free to join. The deadline is also September 15th to get and use all 500L of free store credit.

 

So in conclusion everything that I’m telling you about in today’s post expires on September 15th. No time like the present!
