It’s Furnishings Friday #19 and this week I would like to feature The Charming Autumn Decorating Side Table & Artwork you see hanging on the wall! If you are looking for a fun activity to do this month, head down to the Chimeric Arts Pumpkin Patch and bring a friend! There you can pick a pumpkin from the patch, and carve a unique jack-o-lantern for yourself. All of the pumpkins are free and you can carve as many as you like and keep them. I’m calling mine “One Eyed Jack”! These pumpkins are mesh, so you will need to be on a mesh compatible viewer to see them!
If you look really closely within the pumpkin patch you may find an extra surprise! The hosts of this Pumpkin Patch are also participating in The Trick Or Treat Trail Hunt. Halloween is literally just around the corner, so what better than some ghoulish fashion to get you in the mood for some trick or treating? And I’ve been playing around with Windlight again! Just for the top picture though as I really wanted to get a spooky atmosphere!
I love the Cute Halloween Dress that is the October Group Gift by Piccara, its just adorable and looks great with the Free Halloween Sleeve Tattoo that you can get from Buid @ The Midnight Nightmares Halloween Market.
Roobix has this really sweet Cat set as their group gift which includes the ears, tail and the feet that you can just make out on this dark background that I really shouldnt have used but I got caught up in the angles! There is a 50L fee to join the group but this is perfect for a sexy Catwoman Halloween outfit!
The skin I am wearing is the latest group gift from Aeva//Heartsick and is called Jaci. It comes in a pack of 2 skin tones with 4 cleavage options. It is 100L to join the group at the moment but this really is a beautiful skin as you can see!
Did somebody say Cupcakes?! Ok, I may not have a delightful little cake for you with icing but I still consider this a treat and just as sweet. I randomly popped into Cupcakes to take a look at some of their skins, and was beaconed by their Lucky Chair to have a seat. Who can resist a Lucky Chair?! Plus lady luck looked like she was on my side, because I was able to get my hands on two skins, for the magical cost of $free.99, and let me tell you, $free.99 is my favorite price point. So lets take a look at the goodies.
This first skin is called Emma, and I would say it looks sweeter than a cupcake. Its perfect for the change in seasons, as the sun tans begin to lighten up for the fall and winter. Oh, and those rosy cheeks should be able to weasel you out of trouble any day, the skin just looks so innocent even if you aren’t. However, if you want a little bit of drama, you can always add some lipstick and eyeshadows, since the skin has a really great neutral look.
The second skin, Kate, has more summer color left over and would be a great transition between your summer and winter skin.
As you may notice, there are some serious curves dipping and winding around this shape, and I love when I come across a mesh outfit that doesn’t hide much of those curves. So you could only imagine the heart stopping joy I experienced when I found these two outfits. How much you ask? Oh, only my favorite price of $free.99, they are group gifts offered from Liv-Glam at the Cosmopolitan Club and Lounge Mall. You have to join and wear the Cosmopolitan group tag to get the gifts inside Liv-Glam’s store.
The outfit that I am wearing with the Emma Skin is called, Members Gift 005 and comes with all the accessories except the shoes. Oh and fear not, those shoes are relatively free, you have to join Felicity’s group for $30Ls and you pretty much get 6 free shoes. Yes, you read correctly, 6 (S-I-X) free shoes. At the end of the day, adding that group is a long term investment.
As for the outfit with the Kate Skin, it is called Mariah Frill Dress and only comes with the dress, but who could turn down that sexy dress. It has an eye-catching pattern and rich red accents that should make you the hottest person on the sim.
At the end of the day, I rather take these Cupcakes over regular cupcakes… unless we’re talking Red Velvet Cupcakes.
Yes I said it, its time to get your Mojo back, and if you didn’t have it in the first place its time to get one! I know we are thick in the Halloween season, but in the mist of the gules and goblins we still have to stay fancy right? So lets get on down to business! If you are looking at yourself thinking you need a little spice in your life, then you should immediately take yourself on down to Mojo’s main store and pick up their current group gift skin called Phoebe. This skin has a sweet milky brown tone, and there is no need for an additional make up layer. The eye make-up has an appealing hint of purple and the lips have a rich dark mauve color, just simply kissable.
When I first seen the skin, it gave off an adventurous and edgy energy that garners a second looks, so you know you will turn heads. To compliment the skin, I paired it with a sensual curve hugging one shoulder mesh dress made by Kybelle Charron at Rare Ware. Then to keep with the theme of adventurous and edgy, I added wild curly hair called Jina from Fab-U-Lous.
Can’t you just feel the sexy oozing through the screen, now thats what I call mojo!
Its not really like me to deviate away from my usual Windlight settings of “AnaLutetia – AvatarOpt2 Whiter” but after wandering through Tempura and its beautiful Autumnal scenary I wanted to make at least one picture look really pretty. So I went through the options and settled on the Windlight Setting called “Annyka’s Soft Lavender Day” for these pictures!
I love the Autumn Poncho by Soul, its perfect to keep you snuggly warm while you go wandering through the woods. It might be a little too cold for shorts but the Group Gift Zoe Shorts by Bonne Chance! are just too cute to resist! Good thing I have these suspender socks by Dirty.Little.Secret to keep at least some of my legs warm!

This HAWT Leather Milan Dress made by Sassy! that is currently being featured at The Black Only Fashion Event until the end of the month (195L) inspired me to go a little dark and fangy, so I picked up some free items and nearly free items to accessorize it with and headed down to The Haunted Mountain of Marathon Caye for sight see-ing and photos when I was distracted by a delicious looking snack!
The Itsy Bitsy Spider Necklace and Earring Set can be found at Chop Zuey as a free gift for all and my long black nails are a free subscribo gift at Virtual Insanity. The vampire fangs can be purchased on Marketplace for 5L in Pennywise Bracula’s store.
The skin I am in today is a Belleza gift that was given out last December. I chose to wear it today because of the gorgeous red lips – and it’s still available as a free group gift! It has been a long time since I pulled out Xmas Gift Lily, and I am not sure why, because it really is a stunning skin. The Belleza group is 250L if you are not already a member and there are several skins available in the gift pack.

I absolutely LOVE Halloween..and I look forward to when October rolls around so I can start putting costumes together and decorating my place. One of the best things about Halloween in SL is that I don’t have to wait until the 31st to start wearing my costumes and the decorating isn’t limited to my small First Life apartment.
{dollle*} just sent this fantastic Bloody Bandage Dress to their subscribo members. *It is a mesh item so you will need a mesh enabled viewer to see it properly. I paired the outfit with this fabulous Bride of Frankenstein Hair from Paper Heart; available on the Marketplace for 1L and the Blood Blaster Heart from A Folf in Sheep’s Clothing; also available on the Marketplace for 1L.
I finished off the costume with a deep crimson colored lip tattoo, that I scored for 1L from cStar Limited, at The Boho Culture Fair, Bloody Tears III Face tattoo (5L) from REPULSE , and Dead bloody eyes from Sicknessthesia…(FREE) on the Marketplace. The Liane Goth skin in silver, from Amacci, was featured by Renee here.
I went all out decorating my sim for Halloween and I saved buckets of Linden by taking advantage of the wonderful hunts taking place around the grid and by scouring the Marketplace for freebies. The Zombie Mausoleum is a prize for the SL’s Top Haunted Places Tour & Hunt from Post Mortum Designs, the crows are actually Walking Skeleton ACTION auto-rezzers from Another Fine UGH Design for 10L on the Marketplace and the tombstones are free…as part of a Halloween Decor set from Diavolo Creations. The black pumpkins are a group gift, 50L to join, from ::PM:: Purple Moon Creations.
Hunting for freebies on the Marketplace can be quick and easy when you use a few tricks to filter what you are searching for. I always search the Marketplace with a key word for the item I am interested in and then use the “Category” and “Price” filters in the side column. The category column can be filtered down to a fairly specific group and I usually search for items priced between 0-10L. There are other ways to search for freebies on the Marketplace, but I find this to be the quickest route. Just remember to only take freebies that are from the creator of the item and that you write a kind review if you like the item. Creators really appreciate the positive feedback and it is a great way to thank them for offering something free to everyone in SL.
