You heard it here first, fellas.  Tucked away between all those super gifts for women from the FabFree designers at Headquarters are some great things for guys.  This is just a quick post to show you two of the men’s gifts you can pick up there, plus a great free group gift skin.

The skin I’m wearing in both pictures is Elijah (Tone 5//Beardy).  It’s one of eight skintones in a a free group gift for men from Aeva/Heartsick .  Included in the pack are the tones shown below, some of which come in both bearded and clean-shaven, plus the option to show the teeth as both a tatoo layer overlay or an alpha layer on the lips.  All of the skintones are bald so that you don’t have to worry about a hairbase peeking out from under your regular hair.

First off at FabFree Headquarters is a mesh jacket and tee from GoodVibeZ.  There’s great pocket detailing on this jacket which gives you room for your car keys, cell phone, or any of the other stuff you need to carry around with you. The gift box gives you the choice of a plain tee or the patterned one shown here.  The hat and hair in the picture are from sf design do not come with the gift.  The baseball cap is not free, but the “hat hair” in several different hair colors is free at sf designs and is what you need for wearing hats when your regular hair just won’t fit inside.

Ydea is a freebie clothing hunter’s paradise for both men and women.  Every month there are new group gifts for both sexes and the group is free to join.  Better yet, the previous group gifts stick around for awhile.  There are two whole walls full of outfits, one for men and one for women, that you can pick up for absolutely no charge at all.  Ydea’s new April gift, the Tropez shorts outfit, put me in a warm weather mood, so I ambled over to the Tiki bar to get a picture of it for you.  The outfit comes with a mesh overshirt, shorts with sculpty legs, and mesh sneakers.

And how about this little beauty?  I’m talking here about the outfit, not the car.  If you happen to own a white sports car you can find the perfect outfit for cruising around with the top down on the Ydea past group gift board.  The Grant outfit includes pants layer dress pants, black buckled sculpty shoes, and a blue mesh jacket with open collared shirt.

Another good place to find free men’s clothing is Resun.  Resun specialzes in outfits with a bit of a European fashion flair to them.  In addition to the regular group gift near the entrance, there are group freebies scattered among the regular-priced items (you just have to look for them) and there is a separate discount area with lower-priced older items.  The outfit I’m showing here is the Roby Group Gift (free to join) featuring traditional clothing layer leather pants and shirt with prim collar and cuffs.  I’m also wearing low black casual shoes from Gabriel (former hunt gift) and Gabriel’s Unisex Body Bag (free group gift, free to join).  The free body bag group gift also comes in cheetah and camouflage fabrics.

It Was a Dark and Stormy Night…

Although I don’t actually do any SL role-playing (yet), I really love the role-play “dress up” events, and We ❤ Role-Play! is one of my favorites. Here, I’m wearing Hilda’s Kirtle and Hilda’s Cloak by {Junbug}. As with all of {Junbug’s} offerings, the textures are amazing, and this one is even materials-enabled. Items are We ❤ Role-Play! are discounted for the duration of the event, so if you like any of them, be sure to pick them up before the prices go up! My lantern/pose is a gacha prize from LISP Bazaar at The Arcade; Care showed it earlier in this post, but I couldn’t resist showing it myself. 😀

There are bunches of gifts under the We ❤ Role-Play! Christmas trees, and I’m wearing two of them here. My tattoo, which reads, “There is no fate but what we make,” is a free gift from Aeva//Heartsick. It comes with black and white, as well as colored, stars. This beautiful jewelry – earrings and Maang Tikka – is a free gift from !!Sax Shepherd Designs. It is HUD-driven, with 4 different metals and 8 different jewels. The Archives at Aeva//Heartsick (Part1)

If you are looking for a new skin or if you are helping someone to denoob, then this place is the motherload of discounts! Aeva//Heartsick have been redesigning their store and this time they have added a special area called The Archives and inside are past generations of skins, old hunt skins, old event skins and old special released skins at unbelievable discounts for females, males and even a set of child skins. There are also packs of shapes available! And whats best is that so many of the skins and shapes for sale are only L$10 each aswell as other hugely discounted prices.

I noticed as I was walking around that some skins have pictures and some don’t so there is no way of telling what the skins inside the little white boxes might look like. So this is my guide to The Archives! Hopefully it will help because this is an amazing idea!

Please note that there are more often than not multiple tones inside the boxes and so you really are getting so many skins.. but showing you them all would take a very very long time and I would be a blog hog! So I am choosing ONE tone to show you in the pictures, in the description beneath each picture I will tell you the tones included.

I’m a Heartsick Twi’lek

Twi’leks are tall, thin humanoids with skin pigment that spans a rainbow of colors. Their most distinctive feature is a pair of shapely prehensile tentacles that grow from the base of their skulls.*

Ever since I first saw STAR WARS: Return of the Jedi, I was fascinated by these mysterious creatures with the strange tentacles growing out of their heads. And now, thanks to Aeva//Heartsick, I can BE one in SL! This lavender beauty is a complete avatar offered for sale at the For Aeva Heartsick event, which started yesterday and runs through May 14th. Love gave you a great run-down of the event yesterday, and Goldie also showed a couple of items, so I’ll invite you to check out their posts for more information about this fundraiser. I decided to participate because I think Amesha Jewell’s skins are very pretty, especially her petite skins, which she recently started selling. So… go check it out! 🙂

The Twi’lek Avatar ~ Tyrian Light includes pretty much everything you see here. The skin comes with or without dark or light eyebrows, has 4 cleavage options, appliers for Lolas, Lush, and Puffys, and even has optional teeth and eyelash tattoos. Mesh feet are included, so you don’t have to wear purple SL feet. There are a variety of avatar colors from which to choose, so if purple isn’t your thing, there’s sure to be another color you’ll like. 🙂

Twi’lek females were thought to be so beautiful that it was considered a status symbol to keep them as dancers or slaves. And one of the few items that didn’t come with this avatar was CLOTHES, so I picked up the Maya Silks Gown, the latest group gift from :Kastle Rock Couture: (100L to join). UPDATE: Unfortunately, I just tp’d over to :Kastle Rock: to make sure the gift was still available, but alas, it is not. There is, however, a new group gift, and there’s an almost identical dress available as their prize in the Lost Treasure of the Inca Warrior Hunt (which actually looks pretty interesting). I apologize for the confusion and hope I did not disappoint anyone. 😦 As of this evening, though, you can still get the Maya Silks in petite size at Kastle Enchanted (same group tag), but hurry because it looks like a new gift is being posted!

Here’s a closer shot of this pretty avatar’s face. I should tell you that a shape is included, but I opted to wear my own shape instead. So your Twi’lek face will look different. Ear cones are included, as are the “lekku” (head tentacles), and jeweled headpiece. You can choose from dot markings or stripes (I’m wearing dots). All this for 100L! I was really stunned when I saw all that was in the box. Plus, what I really like is that you can wear the skin without the lekku and ear cones, and just be purple. I’m sure you’ll see me wear this skin again, possibly as a purple fairy or… I don’t know what yet. But I love that I have options! 😀

Petite Finds @ The Wash Cart Sale

This sweet, Elegant Rose Dress is by DemotiK, and is available for just 10L at The Wash Cart Sale. It also comes in red, if that’s more your flavor. My hair is the latest release from “”D!va”” for the March round of Collabor88. Two styles come in the box, and you can wear them with or without the color-changing ribbon and flowers. I’ve sized it way down to fit, of course, but one reason I love “”D!va”” hair so much is because I can size it to fit my petite avie. “More bang for your buck,” if you know what I mean (make a copy first)! 🙂
