Hey, it’s the weekend I think! Who really knows these days, those holidays that mess with our minds. I’m here though, so it must be the weekend, and just in time, do I have something great on the grid for you to do.

Every year, Azlyn, the owner of Yasum, picks someone in her community, in our community, to help. Last year, a neighbor of hers who was fighting cancer got his only means of transportation stolen or repo’d and with this yearly event, she was able to replace it. She has marked her entire store 90% off, and with the proceeds, will help someone she’s chosen get out of a rough spot in life. This year she put up suggestion boxes for us to nominate someone, I’m not if she’s chosen yet or not, but Beachy and I are certainly contributing to this fundraiser. Azlyn has a heart of gold. I chose this blog/song title because it represents her so well.

So, I went shopping! Now, she doesn’t make a large amount of things for men, but she’s done menswear and womenswear since she’s been on the grid, so there is a whole room for men. 😉 There’s a teleporter in the landing room where you can click and go directly to the menswear section. I already owned everything she’s made for the Jake body, but this year I got to shop for the items she’s made for the Signature body so I got some new threads. It’s difficult to discern which body these clothes are made for from the sign so MAKE SURE YOU DEMO so you know. This year I purchased the Benedict Megapack, which is made for Signature bodies. The Megapack only set me back 85L, which is actually more that the blog allows for in a post so, I will list the price for each single piece in the credits below. The Megapack came with a fatpack of the pants, chain, shirt and scarf.

The sale is lasting through January 7th, and she often extends it, but I wouldn’t wait. Don’t forget to check the accessories and hair salon and outlet while you’re there. Yes, the outlet is 90% off too.

Oh it’s my happy dance time, Fabbies! Freebies are a little slim at the moment, and I spent a whole day looking for stuff to blog for you all. Then yesterday I logged on and my one of my favorite stores, DAMI, dropped her group gift, one of 2 we get each year, and I couldn’t love it any more!

DAMI is a designer I’ve been following my entire time on SL. I was introduced through her gachas, and I still spend time hunting down older gacha outfits from the store on MP. I joined the DAMI group years ago, and on the regular she’s been putting out a group gift twice a year, in conjunction with a sale. It’s currently time for her Spring sale, which is 25% off everything outside of the last 3 months’ releases. That also means it’s time for a new group gift, and it is fantastic. DAMI has a mix of styles, and I adore them all. There’s sweet summery dresses with sweaters, there’s heavy winter coats and skirts, and then, there’s her streetwear line. Every time there’s a cool pair of baggy jeans on a weekend sale, Emma and Aurora send me the link to make sure I’ve seen them, so you can imagine how happy I am with this gift. Not only does she do some incredible baggy clothes, she also has an original style. Most of her outfits come posed, meaning your hand is in your pocket, or it’s holding a coffee or something. Now, I have a mix of old Maitreya and Lara X outfits from DAMI and it doesn’t much matter which I wear, since you’re going to alpha a lot of your body anyway 😉 The DAMI group is only 99L to join and there’s 4 other gifts up on the wall for you to grab. Poser

The term ‘poser’ was an insult back when I was young, and it meant imposter. It was an awful thing to call someone back then 😉 These days, the term poser can be used to describe what I do half my day in SL! LOL One of my favorite pose makers is Loel. I think she makes some of the cutest and most fun poses on the grid. When you purchase from Loel you’ll always get sitting and standing poses in a pack, and they’re all so adorable. She’s given us a new group gift for May, called Mayfly, and it’s 3 poses, one standing, one sitting, one lying. The Loel group is free to join, and you can find Mayfly on the front desk. There’s also a balloon dog on the desk full of older gift poses you can grab too.
