Me : Do y’all ever look at the “people on line” counter on the splash page while you’re logging in? I do every now and then and it usually says around 40k avis are on the grid. That’s roughly ten times the number of people who lived in my entire town back when I was in high school. Ten Times! That’s a TON of people all doing Second Life stuff…. all the time.

You: …. Okay. That’s nice, Juli…. um… your point?

Me: Oh, right. My point is this… With that many people enjoying the Grid… Why am I always shocked to find a New-To-Me event? Cause I found one this week. I was all excited that I had found a brand new start up event… Then I saw that it’s been going on for a while now. So… I guess my point is…. was… The Point is a cool event with loads of free gifts and great designers!

Moving on….

When you join the Point’s group for free, you will be able to take your pick of a bunch of free gifts just for the group. Many of the vendors also have gifts set out; some for free and some for deep discounts. I picked “Loka” a cute casual shorts and racer-back crop top set from Anne’s fashions to show off today, just one of several full outfits on the gift wall. The Point event ends on June 25th so you have a few days to go get your shopping done!

Adrift

My lovely, wistful new pose is also at an event but this time it’s the Liaison Collaborative. This is “The Shape of Summer” pose and it’s part of Le Poppycock’s new gacha: Shipwrecked. There are fifteen beautiful poses, each one with it’s own props like the gnarled drift wood here. Each play will cost you 69L so you can collect the entire set without too much damage to your wallet.
