Hello again, my FabFree dears! You know, sometimes it’s fun to mix up these blog posts a little. Take a top from here and a pair of pants from other there, pair of shoes from yet another. Sometimes you can come up with a wild new look!
I’m calling this my new Desert Rose look. It starts with these gorgeous palazzo pants from the ‘Camden’ set from Sweet Temptations. The set comes with the pants with the attached belt and a super cute denim vest. Camden is the latest group gift and the group is free to join. My top is a great bargain from Eluzion. This is the ‘Melina’ top and the chocolate brown I’m showing is just one of six color/patterns the HUD lets you choose from. Right now, Eluzion is offing the Melina top with the HUD as a special promotion for only 65L. But, if you like the top, you better hurry down… the special sale only lasts this week!
To complete my new look, I needed some great shoes and jewelry so I headed to the Marketplace. I found these fantastic ‘Tribal’ sandals for SLink Mid Feet from Katie’s Kreations for only 10L! You can’t beat that! While I was on the Marketplace, I found the just right necklace and earring set from Old World. This is the Medieval Jewelry – Tooth set from Old World and it will only set you back 1L.
Do you like my little friends in the picture? These are two of the eleven adorable little Fennec foxes available in Half – Deer’s Fennec Fox Gacha at Kustom9. These cuties are only 1land impact each and the two rares are wearable companions. You can collect a whole… flock… herd… troop… of them at only 65L per play. Greetings from the bay shore Fabbies! I am still on vacation, no use in rushing a return to the rat race. After all, there is plenty for them to eat in my apartment and Rat #4 has definitely developed an attitude lately. Prima Donnas, I have no patience for them. Anyway, it’s much nicer at the shore as you can see from this postcard-pretty scene.
This unique shirt is great for a summer vacation. I have always had a love of fish and aquaria. In real life, I was raised with up to five tanks of tropical fish to be maintained at any given time. When I saw this FREE shirt from EccentriciXi, I knew I had to have it. I love how this shirt just screams “Vacation!” The Fishes Men’s Shirt buttons up the front and has wildly colorful, but realistic, fish printed on a dark blue background that looks great with blue jeans. Also, If I fall off the pier into the ocean, it will serve as camouflage to keep the local sharks from noticing my tasty-looking perfect complexion. I may still look like a seal, but at least I will blend in better, and that could save my tender little pixels. EccentriciXi currently offers this as a FREE group gift. I heartily recommend it for fish lovers all over Second Life.
My jeans are currently on sale at Nevermore Designs. They are the 2015 Dark Navy Men’s Baggy Mesh Jeans, which I chose because the dark blue shade looks fantastic with the shirt. They are a good basic pair of jeans with a wonderful texture, but they are a bit short. So, mostly I would suggest wearing them tucked into boots to take advantage of that. For only 35L, I am quite pleased with the find, and WOW do they look great with the shirt!
My travels on the grid lately led me to Lavarock, one of my favorite stores on Second Life. I frequently go there to check out the group gifts, since most of them I picked up over the last fifteen months have been so great that I decided to blog them. Besides that, I love their style. Sadly, there is no new male group gift as of yet, but I did notice a gacha there for a very reasonable 25L. I try not to spend much money on SL, but knowing there were great odds to get something I would like, I paid the machine and got this cool T-Shirt! While the fish shirt screamed “Vacation!” this shirt literally screams “HeavyMetalRockAndRollTossMeAnotherEnergyDrinkHey,WhereAreMyPants?” That is a lot for a shirt to say, indeed! The shirt has heavy metal iconography emblazoned on an aggressive design, featuring a nightmarish skull that bears a horned helmet and wings. Framed with dark red flourishes, the design seems to be printed on the shirt rather than just stuck over it (a pet peeve of mine that I still occasionally see in some hunt prizes). It is a very realistic, nearly nightmare inducing T-Shirt, and one of six great designs available from the 25L gacha over at Lavarock.
My jeans are part of The Biker Hunt prize from Man Stuff, a division of Firelight Creations. I point them out because they are an excellent item to pick up for a general wardrobe. They look very realistic and fit nicely around the waist so they look great under casual tees like the one I am wearing above. The Cole Straight Leg Jeans in Black might sound familiar, I have several versions of them in my personal “go to” inventory! These come in straight-leg and tapered-leg versions. The straight leg goes especially well over short boots and sneakers. The full hunt prize is only 1L and for that price you get a black shirt with a “Ride Free” biker design, these great jeans, and a pair of shoes. The Biker Hunt ends on July 20th and the item you are looking for looks like a small motorcycle headlamp!
My vacation on the Baja Cove sim is nearly over and I have to tell you, it is even more beautiful than it appears in these pics. Soon I will be packing up the truck and heading back to my small apartment in the city. The rat race is calling and the “Living Room 100” is the biggest racing event of the season.
