Hello Fabulous Readers, Group Members and Designers,
If you have been keeping up with the blog posts, you may be aware I have just returned from a two week vacation enjoying some sunny R&R. During that much needed down time, it has come clear to me that I while I have been busy organizing FabFree, I have been denying myself some of the things that I enjoy in that crazy thing called “real life”, but also within Second Life as well. This decision is something I have been considering for a few months, however I had been so hectic with a busy RL and a busy SL that I hadn’t really taken the time to sit down and hash it out properly. I just kept on going to keep up with everything.
It is with bittersweet sentiment that I have decided as of July 31st, I will be stepping down from my FabFree organizing duties to give myself more freedom. I do plan to continue logging inworld to “play” and will continue blogging, but on a lighter basis.
Despite the fact that organizing FabFree literally fell into my lap after the departure of our previous organizer, Renee Lowenhart, it has been my pleasure to have had the opportunity to lead (with MUCH help of the team members) such a “fabulous” organization since December 2012. It is, however… time for someone else to take the reigns and bring FabFree into it’s 8th year in Second Life. It is with great relief and excitement that as of August 1st – Prudence Rexroth, currently FabFree Blogger Manager with nearly two years with FabFree will be stepping up as the new Fabulously Free in SL organizer, and Julianna Seriman who has been blogging with us since November 2014 will be assisting her as Co-Organizer. I have all the confidence in the world that these two ladies will bring fantastic things to FabFree in it’s next phase.
I cannot express enough how thankful I am to all of the bloggers, group moderators, designers and helpers that have been such a huge support to FabFree and myself over the last two and a half years. It takes a small army to run FabFree and it wouldn’t have been possible without you. It has been my pleasure to work beside you, sharing ideas – and for the friendships that have developed along the way (that I intend to keep, btw!) ;). Thank you also to those who support FabFree by reading the blog or joining our inworld group. It may seem like an easy job for you, but it means a whole lot to me that you are part of FabFree!
With this news, the designer application process will be closed until September 1st so that our new management can familiarize themselves with the new routine.
Thank you all for your understanding! If you have any questions, please contact me inworld.
