Witching Hour

Madpea has amazingly opened up the Spellbound Game/Hunt to everyone for FREE! You have until Dec. 12 to unlock the mystery surrounding a magical school and the secrets behind the shadows within. You will need to grab their Madpeas group (Group Is FREE} at the Spellbound main area, While wearing the group tag, grab the Spellbound Hud and Wand.

While the items are amazing and FREE (after completing the game) I was stuck a couple of times with their puzzles and if you complete the game/quest/hunt without going MAD (pun intended) I bow to you!

Grab a partner, head off for the day (it will take about 8 hours if you are decent at challenges and puzzles) with your wand, broom and witches hat for an adventure that will have you laughing until you cry.

When you finish the entire Spellbound game you will be directed to the Prize Room where you can collect all your Free Prizes

A Free & Fun Gear Game Sim-Wide Hunt!

Hey Fab Free! Did you know that the Steam Hunt is going on right now? It is a super fun hunt which on for the whole month of March. It is one of the longest-running hunts in SL and it’s also the only steampunk-themed hunt left on the grid. Yesterday I did some hunting at the Steam Expo, where there is a sim-wide hunt game. All of the free décor gifts shown here are hunt prizes you can get from this gear hunt game.

The Gear Game

The Steam Hunt/Expo’s gear hunt game is really fun! What you do is teleport to the start location of the hunt where you will grab a gear games HUD on the wall. Unpack the HUD and attach it to your screen. Now you will run around all over the expo sim and look for the bronze coloured gears, and click them with your HUD on. The bronze or copper-coloured gears will give you points, and if you click silver gears that will take away your points- so don’t click the silver ones! The gears just pop up randomly, so look all around!  You want to accumulate as many points as you can and you can check your point count on the HUD.

Points for Prizes

Once you have lots of points, you can exchange them for prizes. Each prize costs from 1 to 30 points each, and it is quite easy to win enough points to get all the prizes around the sim. In different creators’ booths around the sim, there will be writing in yellow over the prizes which states how many points each one costs. The HUD and the game is completely free to play, so whatever prizes you get will be a free addition to your inventory. There are 35 prizes in total that I could find.

Steam Hunt XV Store-Wide Hunt

Note that the gears game hunt is a sim-wide hunt in addition to their grid-wide hunt. The gears game hunt featured in this blog post is part of the hunt, but they have a larger grid-wide hunt too! So there are basically two hunts part of the Steam XV Expo/Hunt event this month. If you want to do their grid-wide hunt please visit the Historical Hunt Ltd. website for a list of stores. The hunt prizes are available to find until March 31st. The grid-wide hunt is also a 0L, completely free hunt.

I always wanted a Lilly Pulitzer dress in RL.  I would clip ads out of magazines, imagining myself on yachts looking chic and colourful.  Once, on a trip to NYC, I walked up Madison Avenue and found my way into the hot pink and kelly green shop, marveling at the framed prints and reams of fabric.  I peeked hopefully at at price tag on one of the dresses – a blue, swirling candy creation, and balked.  The price was way beyond anything I could hope to afford.  I kept on dreaming.  If only I could get my hands on Lilly for an affordable price….

SL Makes Dreams Come True!

I know it’s not *exactly* the same thing, but I found my Lilly Pulitzer-inspired dress by Albino Peacock for FREE in SL!  The best part is, I got a whole lotta other stuff for free too, including the earrings by Baubles that I’m wearing!  I jumped over to the Flawless sim and took part in the Game Show Quest.  By clicking on the sign, you’re given a free HUD that will lead you to 14 different shops, ask you questions, and at the end, you win a whole load of prizes!  The whole game took about 45 minutes, and I actually had a really fun time.  Give it a try, the prizes are well worth the time.  You’ve got until March 19th!

Kakaue, CIA Designs, Future Tech

I stopped into Kakaue to pick up their white heeled chucks, and found so much more there. The Shop is literally loaded with freebies and dollarbies. Actually, it’s three shops (more?) under one roof, and most had a gift for their customers.

First, the shoes:

The white ones are set out as a gift. They are located right inside the front door near the new arrivals display. The black ones were a genie wish gift, you get a chooice of three gifts, I chose the black chucks. These shoes come complete with AO and sound, both of which can be turned off.

Now the clothes:

There are two outfits that I found. Both are sexeh. These can be found in the boxes at the back of the shop, at CIA Designs.

Last is an online indicator from Future Tech, upstairs. It’s a handy gadget if you want to try one out for your shop.. or even to set on the front stoop of your house.

There are several lucky chairs scattered throughout the shop, and a cute matching type game you can win some great prizes playing. It’s a randomised game rather than an actual matching game, but fun none-the-less, and a good way to pass time while you’re waiting for your number to come up on the lucky chairs.
