Can’t Catch Me!

Happy Friday, Fabulous Readers!  Today, Gus and I were cozied up at home while I unboxed and tried on my latest free hunt prize.  Just as I was admiring the fit, a speedy flash of brown zipped past the window.  Gus cocked his head, ears twitching, and we both heard it, light and taunting, floating on the cold winter air.  “Run, run as fast as you can.  You can’t catch me, I’m the gingerbread man!” That was all it took.  Gus launched himself toward the door, and the chase was on.  I grabbed a scarf, wrapped it quickly around my neck, and headed out after my determined hound, hoping my outfit was up to the task of pursuing a notoriously fast cookie through a frosty landscape.

My Beatrix outfit from Dirty Kitten Clothing turned out to be ideal for my winter sprint.  The sweater is cozy, thanks to its long sleeves that keep the chill at bay, while its cropped fit showcases my curves.  The low-waisted, light-wash jeans keep the outfit comfortable and practical.  They hug through the hips and thighs, then release into a subtle flare.  The denim is soft and flexible, making it easy to keep pace with an overexcited dog and a mischievous cookie.  A simple scarf completes the look and adds a touch of glam.   If you don’t care for the gray color I’m wearing, the designer includes a texture HUD packed with 12 colors to choose from.   The best part of all is that you can pick up the Beatrix outfit completely for free as a prize in the Peace on Earth Hunt 16.  Just teleport to the store and locate the globe hidden somewhere inside.  You have until December 31st, so there’s still plenty of time.

Eventually, the cheeky cookie slowed down and paused at a charming little hot cocoa stand.  I noticed him gazing longingly at the sweet treats, then I quickly purchased a steaming cup.  I smiled at the little guy and stooped down to offer him a sip.  He climbed into the mug, settled into the cocoa like it was a luxurious hot tub, then draped his arm over the rim as he relaxed.  Crisis averted, cookie contained.  All is well in Second Life.
