Mardi Gras Gift Madness

There is a free hunt at Wonderland Beach in celebration of Mardi Gras– but you have to hurry, the hunt ends on the 17th.  Luckily, the gifts for the Love and Camouflage Hunt are pretty easy to find.  All you have to do is look for the Mardi Gras mask in the shops on the sim to find your gifts.  I found this great cami dress from TrendZy Apparel with a star pattern.  It also came with a pair of heels.  I am not wearing them because I wanted to show off these cute ankle boots I found on the hunt from Grumble.  I loved the rainbow hearts– which happened to match well with another hunt gift, the bangle bracelets from SugarBaker.

As I mentioned earlier, this terrific hunt ends on February 17th.  So you will have to hurry to snatch up these great gifts.

Heart Attack and Vine

February is approaching and Valentines (and Anti-Valentines) themed hunts are just around the corner.  I’ve been to a few different hunts on Windstruck over the past few months and I’ve always been impressed by how pretty the sim is and how nicely the hunts are set up. The Lost Hearts Hunt is no different.  The terrific free hunt gifts range from clothing to home decor.  Most of the clothing items are either unisex or there are corresponding male and female avatar outfits hidden separately.  The hearts are in plain sight, so no need to break out your magnifying glass and search in hard to see places.  I found plenty of great free gifts on the hunt, but my favorite had to be the Gothic Vine Gown.  It is a gorgeous strapless dress with a slit on the side.

The Lost Hearts Hunt runs until February 20th, so check out these wonderful gifts before the hunt comes to an end.

Casual Weekend Style

If you have ever been to Lunaria, you will find that it is not just a home and garden store.  Lunaria has a nice selection of dresses and clothing as well.  I won this beautiful Alane dress from their lucky boards which is free for all group members; and the group is free to join as well.  While you are at Lunaria, be sure not to miss their ample selection of free group gifts and midnight madness boards as well.

I found this really nice Summer Eyeshadow by Altice for just 1L in their group gift section.  The group itself is free to join and there are plenty of other 1L makeup gifts for group members.  To complete my look, I found some Smudged Eyeliner from Gaia Rose.  This was also one of their free group gifts (the group is free to join.)

School Girl Chic

What a lovely evening to spend swinging under the moonlight.  It is a little chilly, so I should have packed a sweater.  Oh well, maybe next time.  I don’t want to hide this really cute top I found.  It is one of the free group gifts at Cherry.  (The group is also free to join.)  There also a few other group gifts there as well that you should check out while you are there.

To complete the look, I picked up this cute  Skirt and Garters set by Bellatrix for 1L on the marketplace.  There are two versions of the garter set, one with straps and one without.  The best part is that the garters are unrigged, so you can resize and position them to fit your body.  I am also wearing Bellatrix’s Sapatilha Shoes, which are another 1L dollarbie on the marketplace.  They shoes a Mary Jane style shoe and sock combo, which seem to compliment the skirt well.

When I am not living my best Secondlife, I like to play video games.  Of course, Secondlife has everything you can possibly dream of in real life; so I shouldn’t have been surprised when I found this awesome arcade with playable retro games.

Rock Around the Clock Tonight!

As the saying goes, everything old is new again.  Just look at me, I am ready to go to the sock hop with this cute ’50s style poodle skirt for free on the marketplace from Norma Underwood.  The skirt itself is unrigged, so you can position the skirt to fit your avatar better.  It also comes with a BOM layer that can be used for an underskirt.  The skirt was originally designed for classic avatars, but with a little adjusting, it can work on mesh bodies as well.

I needed the perfect vintage sweater to finish off the look, so dug through my inventory and put on the Ellen Sweater from Quinnty’s Aline first blogged about in this post. The cute, argyle pattern really made the outfit complete.

Watching Paint Dry

I liked to draw and paint when I was a child, but I am not very artistic.  Still, I have a great appreciation for art.  When I saw this dress on the lucky board for letter “V” at Milky Way, was thrilled because it reminded me of a pop art floral painting.  There are many luck boards  at Milky Way, all free for group members. A Lazy Sunday

A ’90s State of Mind

I was in a ’90s state of mind today and was looking for some cute clothes to suit my mood.  Luckily for me, I stumbled on this adorable ringer tank from Arata fr just 1L.  The top comes with a nice HUD that let’s you choose between several different colors and graphic prints, so you can change it up when you want.  This is not the only 1L gift from Arata.  There were two different hair styles and a balloon skirt all for 1L.  There is no telling how long this great deal will last, so pick it up while you still have a chance.

To complete the outfit, I found this great skirt for free on the marketplace by Bad Rabbit.  It is the gift version of the Kolly skirt and it comes in two patterns than can be changed with the HUD.  Who knows how long this cute skirt will be free, so grab yours as soon as you can.
