You may or may not know, but the RL Beachy is a nurse.  I’ve been a nurse a looooooong time, and have been working in healthcare since I was 15 years old, when I got my CNA.  I don’t work in any labs or hospitals these days, but on occasion, when the mood strikes, I’ve been known to get into RL character in SL, even if it takes place in the future 😉

Sutures, please.

Why, just yesterday I was in the lab, trying my darnedest to hit a vein and take a blood donation.  The patient had horrible veins, impossible job.  He was also mouthy and rude.  So I did what I did.  Because I’m kind, I put a mask over his face and put him to sleep, ahhhhh peace.  I then decided I was getting that blood one way or another, so I just snipped off his finger, and now I’ve got plenty of blood.  He’s lucky I only went after the finger, ha!

I was inspired for this picture by the April group gift from [erotiK].  It took me a long time to blog April gifts because we had Easter gifts to cover!  That being said, it’s still April, and you can still grab this.  My top and skirt are both part of the Samara outfit, this month’s group gift.  It’s free for group members and the group is 99L to join.  I like to use  the different textures in her fatpack huds, and this silver I hadn’t noticed before.  There’s a full hud of solids and patterns to choose from.  It’s rigged for:

Well Fabs, she’s back at it, and I think this is my favorite one yet!  Spot On Chic has created another gorgeous group gift dress, this one in a sequin graffiti pattern, and I never want to take it off.

Wearable art

Fashion is art.  Graffiti is art, and oh, how I love it.  One of my favorite street arts is in Toronto, I call it the ‘Wall of Jimmys’ and it’s portrait art of Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Carter, Jim Henson, James Dean, Jimmy Page, it’s so fun!   I was so excited I saw this new gift but even more excited that it’s in a graffiti pattern.  I am a forever fan!  I blogged a dress from this store last month in a bunch of different EEPs (you can see it HERE) to show you the gorgeousness of the sequins.  The *SO* Chic group is totally free to join, but I’m staying in this one, because I don’t want to miss a thing!  This dress is rigged for:

Instead of putting this under a bunch of EEPs for this post, I tried something new, and I think you all should go get these to wear with your *SO* Chic dresses 😉  At Valkyria, there’s a wall of gifts, and the group is free to join.  From those gifts I added 2 things in this pic, rotating sparks to my head and hands, and rotating lights, (that I found in the package with the roses headpiece gift).  I love this idea, because no matter the EEP, the rotating lights (which are not very bright at all) will subtly change the shimmer and shine of the sequins.

Because my dress is the real art in this photo, I needed some simple gold earrings to wear with it.  I found a free pair at HARO, but they are inside the store, not on the gift board outside.  Look on the left side of the store when you walk in 😉  They are the Zip earrings, little zippers, and they come in a variety of metals and black.  No group is needed, just buy them for 0L and take them home.

Last, I’ll mention my pose/prop.  It’s free, of course!  The shoes I’m holding are an older gift from Equal, they put out for women’s day last year maybe? The important part is, it’s still there!  When you walk into the Equal store, look to your right, high up on the wall.  Pay the vendor 1L and it’s instantly refunded, no group required.

I’d say I’m ready to hit the club, but my shoes are in my hand, which means I’ve already hit the club, and am exhausted. lol
