You all know I have a soft spot in my heart for antiques, and collect a lot of unique items from the past, but the one thing I haven’t gotten my hands on yet is an antique pocket watch where you can see the gears, oh how I would love own of those!

Gear Head

Engineering and math run in my family, although it bypassed me completely. My Mom was a math major.  I failed college algebra.  My son started college in Calculus 3.  We are not the same. lol  That being said, I do love all the intricate details of steampunk design, so I was thrilled to put together a look from the free gifts at The Engine Room for you.  This quarterly shopping event is all about the steampunk era, and as with every Second Life Syndicate event, there are free gifts!  You need the free SLS tag on to get them and you can find them in boxes illuminated with green text next to booths. Here’s what I picked up that I’m showing you today:

OK so I love these earrings so much.  The little lanterns turn on and off, and you can choose the intensity of the glow and the color of the light and I think they’re just such a fun gift!  I’m sure you’ve heard me drone on and on about my love affair with creativity and The Engine Room brings it every time.

You have plenty of time to inhale some helium and float over, it’s open until October 20th.
