Dog Days of Summer

We really are in the “dog days of summer” over here. It’s dang hot! I am just trying to cool off in the air conditioning! Having some great summer shorts and a new short haircut helps cut the heat down too!

The Dog Days of Summer Hunt

Today I am showing some beautiful prizes on the Dog Days of Summer Hunt. This is yet another hunt taking place at the Short Leash sim. I managed to (yet again!) find some adorable items on their latest hunt! Note that this sim is often associated with adult items, so be aware of that before you visit.

My amazing shorts, the banana plant, and the two lanterns in my window are all hunt gifts by QE Designs. These are just a selection of the hunt items provided by QE on the hunt, and all the prizes are amazing. QE calls this whole hunt set “the end of summer”, and each item costs 25L. The shorts I got even include a hud which allows you to change them to 3 different textures! In addition to what I’m showing here, they also have a bikini, flip flops and some seashell paintings available.

This is not the first time I’ve featured a cute dog-themed item by Ari-Pari. The other item I am wearing from the hunt is this little necklace, which has cute little dog prints on it. This is perfect for the theme of this hunt, and the necklace comes in gold, silver, rose, and other metals. Each necklace costs 10L only on the hunt!

Sunny Monday

Heyya FabFree! Today… I was a bit of a detective for y’all.  Stuff gets weird in SL, designers change names, store disappear or appear, people vanish…. I guess it’s all part of the Grid’s power but it can get unnerving when you’re trying to hunt down freebies and bargains. especially when you have a great gift in the inventory… and you don’t quite remember how you got it…..

Anyway, I was checking out the new Gacha Life event (where I grabbed these awesome new sunglasses for Free from the Ari Pari’ booth) when I decided to go wander through Grumble because they always have great Hunts and such. Sure enough, I was hunting and clicking in no time!  I was unpacking the prizes and realized… I have no information on the Peace By Peace Hunt and I’m blogging this awesome skirt Grumble made for it!! So I popped back over to Grumble to do some sleuthing. Luckily, I noticed another resident in the store hunting with the group name “Searching for Peace”. AH HA, sez I, I bet that’s them. And it is! To get the Peace by Peace Hunt info you can just join the free group and the Hunt list is in the Notices. Maybe not the easiest way… but it works.

So, anyway… my gorgeous watercolors skirt is the “BoHo Dream” and you can grab it for just 1L and a little Hunting!

While I was at Grumble ( Since I spent a lot of time there this afternoon) I also stumbled across a Hunt and event that’s new to me. The Fashion Loft is another SL hot spot for all things fashion on the Grid. They are hosting a Grid wide Hunt that runs until June 30th. All you have to do is pop over to their headquarters and grab the free HUD which will take you through the Hunt. So for my sunny Monday , it’s the “Damn Cute” bikini I’m sporting with my new skirt. Yes, it’s “Damn Cute”… says so on the box it comes in. You get the itsy bitsy bikini ( Top and Bottom) and a HUD for  10 super cute patterns.
