I’ve been in the SOMNIUM group for a few months now, and I really love the designs there. I’ve blogged gifts from them before that I’ve picked up at Second Life Syndicate events, but once I visited the store I knew I would want to get in the group. Fantastic fantasy designs, the group is free to join, and there’s 450L credit a month free for group members!
I saved for 2 months and came home with this avatar, and I think it’s spectacular. It’s called Automation, the theme is ‘forgotten’ and it appears to be made from bronze and old painted porcelain, I just love it. There are other version though, and there are many more things in the store you can get instead.
This particular avatar comes with a full body alpha and that’s that. (Although you’ll have to hide your ears and nails). No sizes, so that makes it unisex even!
At the entrance you’ll find a sign for ‘SOMNIUM employees’ and that’s where you’ll join the group for free and pick up your free credit.

The Engine Room opened last week, that wonderfully steampunk, historical, fantasy shopping event hosted by Second Life Syndicate. It was packed for a week solid, but I finally made it this week and came home with some incredible gifts! You’ll need to join the SLS group to pick the gifts up, but it’s free. The second I tried this Maestro makeup I knew I wanted to center a post around it, the tough part was the outfit! Fortunately, KIKIKAIKAI had me covered, he’s got some wildly creative stuff in his store. I’ve mentioned before if you walk upstairs there’s a whole section of group gifts for men, mainly streetwear. Along the side of upstairs is another area where you can find great costume gifts, and that’s where I found the No Rules gift (by his old brand, +HILU+).
