A little night out at the theatre is just what I need right now – a place to forget all the stuff I still need to do, and maybe have a little laugh while I’m at it.

Fair Hair

There’s a lot going on on the grid right now for us freebie finders, and I will not complain for a moment.  If you head over to Sintiklia and look under the Christmas tree, you’ll find this lovely topknot hairstyle for free.  It comes in several ombre shades, and the bangs are optional.  There are other gifts too – some makeup, jewelry and even hair for the guys for free, so make sure you spread the word!

The Glitzz and Glamour

Poppies

We’re almost there fabulous ones, nearing the end of freebie season.  Sigh.  We get so overwhelmed and complain about inventory disasters and then before you know it, the gifts dry up and we have nothing to do but organize …… *yawns, spits, curses.*
Fortunately for us, there’s a wonderful tradition in Second Life I haven’t heard too much about this year, but it has survived, carried on, like the wild red poppy, and it’s the Peace On Earth Hunt!

Peace be with you

The Peace On  Earth Hunt 14 is currently happening and will be going past Christmas and until December 31st.  It’s such a tradition for older residents and freebie hunters to participate in, I was so happy to hear someone mention it, and even happier to go hunting in it.  The hunt has about 42 stops, and all of the hints and slurls can be found here.  This is a completely free hunt, no group is required to participate, just find a little Earth globe and click!  Today I wanted to show off my favorite gift so far (I’m not finished hunting yet!).  This gorgeous poppy gown by Ala Folie.  I love this texture, and the design of the ribbons tied around the gown.  It comes in a myriad of sizes:

To really bring out the poppies in the dress, I paired it with this most beautiful gift by HARO, the Poppy wreath.  You can find this wreath right outside the main entrance, and it doesn’t even require a group.  It’s just completely free for everyone, click the sign and it’s yours.  I think it’s so beautiful and romantic, I’ve had it for a few weeks and was so eager to try it when I found this gown, and I think they’re lovely together!

Nailed it!

I finished off the look with a most amazing free Christmas gift by Formanails.  I couldn’t show them off properly in the picture if I wanted to show you the full gown, so you’ll have to go pick them up to get a good look.  They are shaped like little trees, with a tree topper, and have additional add-on Christmas lights!  There’s a color hud for nails and a tint hud for the lights, and I never want to take them off.  No group join is required for these free nails AND they even have a set for the men!

There’s no time to sleep for us freebie hunters yet, so don’t spend too long in the poppies …… you’ll get plenty of rest in January 😉
