Hi Fabs!  As we’re nearing in on American Thanksgiving, there’s all kinds of things to be thankful about in SL.  This free dress, for one.  Then there’s a hunt on a beautiful SIM I did this week you’ll really enjoy.

Don’t whisper

I can’t hear you if you whisper because of these great fluffy ear muffs!  They’re a free prize from Gabriel, along with the scarf, on the Whipsters Of Momji Hunt.  The hunt prizes range from free to 100L and you’re looking for a copper colored Maneki-neko (waving cat).  You’ll wander through beautiful Japanese gardens while you look.  This is what I brought home:

Happy Friday Fabs!  Happy Halloween!  Sky is on deck this weekend with a lot of great men’s gifts, but I didn’t want to miss Dia de los Muertos.   Generally it will be celebrated on November 1st and 2nd, but it unofficially starts tonight 😉

Day of the Dead

Dia de los Muertos doesn’t celebrate death, rather it celebrates that death is the continuation of life, and nothing to fear.  I hang on to this concept strongly, as I’ve lost most of the important people in my life, very young.  They aren’t gone, and it’s our job to keep their memory alive in this world.

In order to celebrate, I bought a new dress.  SO*Chic has this gorgeous sequin dress in a Dia de los Muertos pattern for only 75L.  Flowers are also an important part of this celebration and they’ve created a floral head wreath to match it as a group gift.  The group is free to join.  The dresses from this store are always such a big hit on the Fab Free blog, she does such a realistic sequin design.  It comes rigged for:

I don’t think Dia de los Muertos would be complete without a trip to La Maldita Bruja, and I wasn’t wrong.  I popped over to the store looking for exactly what I found, a beautifully detailed make up mask to celebrate, and of course it’s free!  This one comes in a set of black arm and leg fades, the black make up alone, or the black make up on a white face.  Oops, she moved it, it’s now in the room on your right, to find it easily, area search La Patrona and buy the gift for 0L.
