Can you read the sign? O.M.G. Art for free? You betcha! Mrs. B., one of our fabulous designers, let me know about The Free Museum. You can see a preview of some of the works in her store, Basilia’s Fine Fashions and grab landmarks to the museum. The brainchild behind the museum(s) is Haiku Quan who had the following to say:
“The Free Museum and the Second Free Museum contain works by some of the very best artists in Second Life. And every artwork here is free. You are welcome to take as many as you like. There is nothing for sale, and there are no tip jars. This is simply my way of giving back to you, the people of Second Life who make this such a fascinating world. And to introduce you to the incredible quality of the fine art being created in Second Life.”
As you wander the museums you may recognize some of the artists whose work is available to all for free. There is something for everyone’s taste.
One of my favorites is the Crococar by Cica Ghost. It’s just my style cause every Cajun gal needs one! Alpha Auer is the creator of the group of musicians seen on the right. There are sooo many beautiful pieces to choose from. If you can’t decide just grab all of them!
Here are a few samples of what you can find there. It’s fun to visit the museums and soak up some culture. There are 2 museums as noted above. make sure you visit both of them. I was a little disappointed because there was no wine & cheese to be found. Oh well, cest la vie!
