What with the Shop and Hop going all hearts and cupids and all the Valentine themed hunts… I guess we should embrace it, right? So that’s what I’m doing today with a cute little free gift from the Miix Event.
This is the “Hearts Dress” and it’s made by FurtaCor for the Miix Event. FurtaCor has also made a black and red version of this dress for it’s own group members at the event. Just wear your FurtaCor group tag to get that one. The FurtaCor group is only 50L to join so why not, right? This pink version of the dress is for the freeto join Miix Event group.

An Unexpected Surprise – Unisex Goodies!
Aren’t my roses and box of candy just adorable? They are part of a pose set from PosED which is a free gift at Shop & Hop (called Unexpected Surprise! Did ya see that one coming?). It is unisex, so the guys can get in on the fun too (hey, they deserve roses and candy too those men of ours!). My cute necklace is also part of a free unisex giftie from FashionNatic, they call it a broken hearts necklace but since you can wear one half, and you other half wears, well, the other half… I see it more as a connected heart. They match up together and can be customized with any initials you like. They fit Legacy, Maitreya and Kupra for women and Gianni, Jake and Legacy for the guys.

It’s that time of year once again, when there are hearts and cupids all around and the world is blissfully pink (ok and red, black, white, purple…)! Now, Valentine’s Day has not notoriously been my best holiday (I got dumped once, when I was 20, on Valentines Day.) but nowadays, the abundance of so many things pink makes me like it so much more!
It’s also the time of the year for another Shop & Hop. Squee! I actually got a late start with it and haven’t gone through everything yet, but I’ve got a couple of things for you to whet your appetite a bit.
As they say on Big Brother…. “But first”, I have a little something for you from Astralia. If you are one of their Very Important Unicorns, this super cute boba tea bear is the new free group gift. Although I don’t dislike Valentine’s day, I just find the holiday kinda cheesy. Sure, I love going out with my beau, but all the hearts and chocolates and roses? Not really for me. As you may remember, I’m more of a Halloween kinda gal! I can still celebrate V-day in a darker gothic style if I want to this year, so I put together this gothic romantic look for V-day.
There are several love-themed hunts going this month, as I am sure you all were gleefully waiting for. Ari-Pari also has a host of Valentine’s hunt prizes available at their main store. First up is their prize on the Love For All Hunt, which is where I got this awesome heart plant! The hint is, “don’t put my love upon no shelf!”. Every prize on the Love For All Hunt is free, so go get ’em!
The second item I am showing is also at Ari-Pari: the prize for the Leather & Lace Hunt 4 (LALH4). The prize is the Amy Blouse, which you can change via a number of colours in a HUD, and the Amy Skirt that comes in black suede. The hint is: “you’ll find me near the serpent resting on a tree”. The Amui Outlet
After reading Arielle’s awesome post the other day about the gift card at Amui, I checked out the store. I discovered that Amui also has an outlet in their plaza. I got these great boots called Lolita boots in a fatpack of different black textures, and they cost only 75L at the outlet. Steal! Plus, it’s under our Fab 75L limit. Woot! Go get ’em boots while they’re on sale at the outlet!
What makes this look “spooky” is the makeup, in my opinion. I rocked out some glitter eye makeup and smeared lipstick with the new, free BOM updates (#5) from Izzie’s. Just head over to the “Bom Updates V” sign. The package is loaded with BOM makeups, skins, tears and more designed for a variety of heads to be used with bakes on mesh, which is my go-to now. Some of the makeups even work with heads they are not designed for; these are extremely high-quality items! These freebies are only available until February 8th, so make sure you scoop these up quickly before they go away and for sale again.
I paired the Izzie’s makeups up with the LOGO Ivona head, as Izzie’s designed several BOM makeups in the bundle mentioned above specifically for LOGO . I blogged about the monthly LOGO head deal last month, but I wanted to include more details about it and to clarify how this promotion works. Please note that this promotion is not an under 75L deal, I just wanted to give some information about these heads that are going on sale because several fab free readers inquired about this offer and have asked me to include it on the blog. Plus, I am buying them and using them in my photos anyways (at least once a month), so I figured I may as well tell you about the deal when I am wearing these amazing heads.
Each month, LOGO is selling an older head- but still fully bento, BOM, and mesh- for only 300 L once a month. As long as you join their free group you can get in on the deal. This month, the head is Ivona and it costs 300L in February. There is a catch, however.
What’s the catch?
In order to buy these LOGO heads for only 300 L every month, you need to have previously owned the LOGO Animation & Customization Hud. If you do not own it, you can buy it at the LOGO main store. You need to own the hud previously to use all the makeups and bells whistles with this head, and to install BOM into it. The customizations huds are full-price- not on sale. You may have gotten the hud for free if you grabbed the freeChelsea head gift back in November (which I blogged about here). That gift is no longer available, but if you did get the customization and animation huds then, just redeliver your Chelsea head and re-open the customization hud to use it with these sale heads. I used the female customization hud that came with Chelsea (after a re-delivery)- and it worked perfectly for me!
Buying the logo customization hud is a one-time purchase and once you own that the customization HUDs will work with ANY LOGO head (male or female) so you only need to purchase it once to get in on the monthly promotion. Considering these heads normally go for full price between 2500-3500 L each, this is an amazing price! The current head on sale at LOGO, for 300 L only, is the Ivona head, pictured below.
