She’s Gone Batty

Hello Fab Free’rs! Hopefully everyone had a good weekend and is now fully recovered from Monday! lol
I’m super excited about this little hunt I stumbled across the other day, it’s the Gone Batty Hunt. The fact that I’m fairly certain I went “batty” a long time ago aside, I also happen to adore bats! I have no idea why, I don’t have a cute story to explain it, or any other reason that I am aware of. I just love them! So if you’re like me and either really like bats, or have an affinity for the kawaii and creepy, this dollarbie hunt is just the thing for you. Also, I got in on the tail end of this hunt, it ends May 22, so don’t wait!

The Gone Batty Hunt is a sim-based hunt taking place at the “Spooky Cute” event location. The stores participating in the hunt will have a sign about the hunt either right outside their store, or visible just inside. Not all the stores are participating. Each hunt prize is 1 linden. You’ll be looking for a glowing purple disc with a black bat in the center. Happy Hunting!!

So first, I think this kinda retro looking dress with the cute tie at the neck is so adorable! It is the GBH prize by KRAVE. The dress is fully mesh and comes in standard mesh sizing. The adorable mouth-chain Pru is wearing is also a dollarbie GBH prize, this one by ClarityMoon. I love the cute little bat paired with a dark moon and stars. Next, is this fun mani/pedi from Tori-tastic. I really like this color combo with a bat motif, it’s hard to do bats and not look like Halloween. This “bat-tastic” polish is meant for Slink nails.

There is another super cute dress to be had on the GBH, this one is by Black Moon. I really like the style of this dress with the suspender style straps over a t-shirt-like top. I especially like the classic  bats flying across the moon imagery. This dress is also just 1 linden and comes in standard mesh sizes. I think these bat friends might be the very definition of “creepy cute”! They are the GBH prize by Mumuhime Clothing. These cute bats are attachments, and some have a hold pose. They are also pretty cute just kinda standing around.

So I’m considering making this cute over-sized sweatshirt my go-to shirt for those jeans and sneakers kind of days! This cute shirt is the GBH prize by Facepalm. It also comes in standard mesh sizes, though it’s mean to look big, and it has a matching alpha layer. The super fun hat Pru has on is yet another GBH prize, and it too is just 1 linden. This hat by Gachapon! has re-size scripts, and includes a color-change hud. Now hurry on over to the Spooky Cute location and Happy Hunting!

FabFree Headquarters Gift Update!

It’s Christmas Eve! For those of you who celebrate Christmas, I hope you are all ready! I still had a few things I needed to run around and get, and lucky for me, I looked fabulous while doing it.

First off, my super cute coat. For all you non-mesh lovers, this is the coat for you! The lovely ORQUIDEA Winter Coat – Red, is from the Happy Holidays event that is still running, on the Wash Sim, just outside of the FabFree HQ. This system layer + prim coat comes with 2 options for the length. Whether you want to go short, like what I have on, or go for a longer, and fuller look, you have that option. This coat is ORQUIDEA’s L$50 selection, which means everything else available at their booth, is only L$10. I’ve included a shot of the booth so you all can take a peek. You only have until the end of the month, so do not delay if you are loving this coat.

While you are on the Wash Sim for the Happy Holidays Event, why not come over to FabFree HQ and take a look at the Christmas gacha machines just outside. My oh-so-practical, yet so adorable, Christmas shopping tote is from the Tori-Tastic gacha. Each play is only L$25, and you have a chance at winning 4 common totes, 4 common clutches, and 1 rare of each. My Wreath bag is the rare tote. Hehe, it almost sounds like I am singing the 12 days of Christmas when I read that last bit outloud. The FabFree Christmas Gacha is also only running until the end of the month, and with nothing over L$30, you really need to go take a look before it’s gone.

Last but not least, my hat + hair combo is a recent free subscribo gift from TRUTH HAIR. If you were already in the subscribo list, you were sent the holiday version of Aspen, in 5 different hair colours. If you aren’t on that list, don’t despair, just head over to the store, and slab that subscribe button, and you should be able to pull it from the history, if it isn’t sent to you automaticly.

Just A Pretty Witch

As a kid for Halloween I dressed up as many things… a ballerina, Wonder Woman, a punk (eh.. it was the 80s lol), and more, but I distinctly remember in my younger trick or treating days  when I was maybe 4 or 5 years old, that I always asked to be a witch, but I wanted to be a “pretty witch”.  No warts, or giant hook noses… no ratty hair – just a pretty witch with rosy cheeks and shimmery lips lol. So here I am doing it all over again, the whole pretty witch thing!  Don’t be fooled by her friendly exterior, she’s still a force to be reckoned with given the right broom!  Anyways, as our FabFree Photo Challenge theme is “Trick or Treat”, I thought this might be a good opportunity to submit my entry!  You can find more information about the Photo Challenge and the sweet prizes available [HERE].

Before I get started yapping about my outfit, I want to share with you news about the spooky Magic Cauldron you see behind me in the photo above.  Aphrodite has this item placed out at this round of The Cosmo Sales Room as a free CSR group gift (which is free to join).  The Magic Cauldron dispenses treats when you touch it, so it really is the gift that just keeps on giving!

Lazy Summer by the Ocean

I love the “dog days” of summer, when the evenings are warm, the days are shorter, and you know that fall is just around the corner. At least, in SL, that is. Where I live in RL, we typically don’t get a “summer”; it’s just more of the same fog and gloom, day after day after day… I seriously need to pick up one of those SAD lights, pronto! Anyway, Gavin dropped by with Duncan this afternoon, and we had a fun time out in my Persimmon Summer House by Lisp. You can still pick one up today (I hope!) in a variety of colors for 188L at Collabor88. The pink tub of foxgloves by the door is a free gift from La Galleria.

Gavin is wearing Ocean, one of two men’s group gifts available at YDEA. The gift includes the mesh shirt, shorts, and “mandals.” He’s also wearing the “3th Year Anniversary” group gift hair from *Dura*, which comes in a great, big fatpack of colors. Care showed you how this hair looked on the ladies last month, but it works great for the guys, as well! He’s also wearing an earring and bracelet by AIDORU, which you can find as a MENstuff group gift over at the Lounge. As for me, I’m wearing Lazy Summer, a group gift by Prim & Pixel, which includes the knotted top, capri pants, and belt. There is a new gift out now, but you can still find this one and a BUNCH of past gifts on the back wall of the store. Oh, and this fun pose is a dollarbie by Seil Xpression on the Marketplace.

My skin is Cecilia, the August group gift from .::WoW Skins::.. This one comes with and without cleavage, but did not come with appliers this time; however, I was able to use appliers from a previous gift in the milk color to match my mesh hands and feet. My hair is Nana, the latest group gift from Miss C, which also comes in a great, big fatpack of colors (I ❤ fatpacks)! My necklace is an oldie, but a goodie, and has been shown here several times by various FF bloggers, but I still love it. You can pick up the Gold Heart Key in 3 sizes at the Energy Club.

Walking the Dog

With her usual enthusiasm, Nessie decided to take Gavin and me out for a walk on the beach after dinner. 🙂
