Feeling Rusty

So I am feeling non-verbose at the moment, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to holler at my faves (that’s you lovely readers) with some great finds!  I picked up this sorta salacious top (sized for Maitreya) over at Rust Republic by joining their group for free!  There are two other cool tops there too to pick up while you’re at it, but this one leaves little to the imagination while still hiding your bits and bobs behind little hearts.  I feel like I’m ok with that!

Boot-y Call

I have a soft spot in my heart for lace up boots, and these ones from FurtaCor are no exception.  I got them for just 1 little Linden over at The Hipster Fair!  They come with an HUD to change the colour of the boots, so you can match them with pretty much anything you can come up with.  If you haven’t made it over to The Hipster Fair yet, you really should because there are loads of free and dollarbie goodies to pick up.  Pru showed you a few HERE.

Tattooed Hipster

Oh Hi There Fab Free! First, thanks as always for being here, second is everyone having a fabulous weekend? I sure hope so. Mine hasn’t been too bad so far, though that darn real life has been getting in the way a bit more than usual. haha Ah well, that’s the way it goes sometimes. Still, I’ve been able to sneak away and enjoy some fantastic new freebies and cheapies. Just a day or two ago I picked up a few gifts from The Hipster Fair, and Love pointed out this gorgeous freebie tattoo at Mister Razzor. Keep reading for all the “whats” and “wheres”.

The Outfit – The cropped top and shorts set Pru has on is a dollarbie gift by Enigma Apparel at their Hipster Fair shop. I love it when I find loungewear that is both comfortable looking and a little bit sexy. The white top is quite sheer, so you may or may not want to wear something under it. The dusty pink shorts however are completely opaque, so no worries there. This cute dollarbie set comes in several sizes. Also, if you for some reason cannot make it to The Hipster Fair, you can pick this set up for a slightly higher price of 10 linden on the Marketplace.

The Brow Tattoo – I know it’s not as easy to see in this photo, but the bold tattoo over Pru’s brow reads “Hipster” in a handwriting-like cursive font. I thought it was cute, and the price is even cuter at 0 linden. That’s right, this little Omega applier tattoo by Rin is completely free. You can pick your copy up at Rin’s Hipster Fair shop.

The Full Body Tattoo – I’m a total fan of Frida Kahlo so when Love mentioned a free “Frida” tattoo out at Mister Razzor, I was on it! Not only is this full body applier tattoo free, there’s no group required. Simply pay the vendor 0 linden and this gorgeous tattoo is yours. It comes in omega appliers, and can be split up to be worn just the lower body portion of the tattoo, just the upper body portion, or both for the full effect. Each one has 3 different opacity levels as well. Again, no group needed, so don’t miss out on this fabulous free find.

Hello Sweeties of the Fab Free variety!  Can’t a girl flag a cab looking absolutely fabulous?  Well I’m going to do it, and do it with style.   I found some free and cheap goodies to keep you smiling through your week!

A Cheeky Hipster

I meandered through the Hipster Fair, and found a boatload of awesome stuff!  Most display booths there have a little pressie for you in a mustache-shaped box.  The dress I’m wearing only cost me 1L at the Cheeky display.  I’m a massive fan of anything with a harness on it!  Plus it’s turquoise, so yay.  This dress comes with an HUD to change the colour of the straps, and it is sized for Maitreya, Hourglass and Physique.  While I was at the Hipster Fair, I also found these fab leg tattoos by Aurica for absolutely FREE! They work with Slink, Maitreya, Belleza bodies and also come with an Omega applier for good measure.   What awesomeness will you find at the Hipster Fair?

Shady Business

Another event currently happening is the 68 Main Event.  There are a few free gifts out, and as I meandered about, I picked up these awesome glasses and purse from Jumo.  I absolutely LOVE the detailing on the purse.  You can never have too many sparkly appliques if you ask my opinion!  To grab these gifts, just join the 68 Main group for free and clickety click!

Besom-e kind of Hipster

Hello Fab Free’rs! I hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend. I’ll tell you how I’ve spent my Sunday, shopping! The Hipster Fair is happening and it ends March 3rd. Most of the designers have set out an inexpensive gift for the event. While you shop, look for the pink and green mustaches at each booth. The pink gifts are women’s only, and the green gifts are male or unisex gifts. Each designer set the cost of their gift, in my experience most gifts were just 1 linden, while some were FREE, and others were as much as 5 lindens. I probably picked up at least 20 gifts! There were so many good items that I’ll be doing a second post with several more Hipster Fair freebies and cheapies. That said I also want to let you know about a special sales event at Besom.

Now, the most urgent aspect of the sale at Besom is that today is the last day! I wish I had caught wind of the sale sooner. Through the end of the day today (I assume, the sale is a “weekend” sale) all individual hair packs at Besom are marked 50 lindens. The purpose of the sale is to help raise funds for the medical bills of an adorable cat named Spirit. I’m not often one to promote causes, because I’m partly a cynical skeptic, but if ever there was a reason to feed my love of hair, the life of a kitty is just the one. Either way, you can’t beat 50 lindens for the quality hairstyles at Besom. The fact that the purchase will likely be helping a beloved pet is just the icing on the cake!

The Evolution of a Hipster

A box and a box of smokes…

Serena messaged me and told me I was cray cray if I didn’t get down to The Hipster Fair as there were plenty of gifts to be had (and even a few gifts for guys). I popped on over and boy was it … PINK! Once I got used to the color scheme, I started going from store to store looking for the green mustaches for the guy gifts. I managed to find a few dollar gifts to make a couple of amazeball hipster looks to show you. The NIDOLO XIV Outfit can be picked up at the ARTIZANA booth for just $1L. This three-piece outfit consists of the mesh suit pants, mesh shirt w/ tie and mesh suit vest. The look is versatile as the vest and shirt can be worn separately. My Hipster Glasses are a $1L gift from KIB Designs. They come in both male and female versions and can be worn on your face or on the top of your head.

Tired of Walkman around…

I also found the Adam Sweater at the Trashed booth. This $1L gift comes in the standard XS-XL sizes and is a great casual look. The Classic Spring Camo Sneakers by The Man Cave is a FabFree goup gift that was previously shown [HERE]. My poses are by Image Essentials. Gold is such an in color right now, and why not, it’s gorgeous! The Twisted Hunt has started and it’s fun to see all the pretty black and gold prizes in this Odyssey themed hunt. The Twisted Hunt prize at Hudson’s is a statement piece to say the least. This bolero style jacket in black and gold is fully mesh and has system layers included along with Omega appliers. Also included in this FREE hunt prize are some fun lace accents that can be added to the jacket for some added versatility. I chose to leave out the lace additions, so I included a copy of the Twisted Hunt gift ad below so you can see how the jacket looks both ways.

Dollar Dollar Dollarbies Ya’ll

Hello again Fab Free! I just couldn’t resist showing you a few more of the great gifts to be had at the Hipster Fair. Once in a while it’s fun to just put your hair up and pull on your favorite jeans. I did just that today, and it was perfect with these Hipster Fair gifts.

One of the things I love about Second Life is that heels become comfortable shoes you can wear with anything and not have to take into consideration the terrain or how long you’ll be standing! These pretty black pumps are a dollarbie gift from Slipper at the Hipster Fair. They are meant to be worn with Slink High feet. Black pumps are one of those staple wardrobe items that you can’t have too many of.

Also at the Hipster Fair are these playful sunglasses from MONOMANIA. I love fun accessories for casual days, especially when they only cost 1 linden. I thought these particular glasses were especially cute considering the camera graphic in the lenses. The glasses do not include any scripts so they are low lag, and can be sized using the edit menu.

The chest tattoo Pru is sporting is another Hipster Fair dollarbie. This gift is from Rust Republic. The cute little owl and sugar skull tattoo comes with system layers and appliers for Maitreya, Slink, Belleza, and TMP, each with a normal and a fresh version. Not to mention I’m always for the combination of owls with sugar skulls!

To help tie everything together I browsed through the Marketplace and found this basic little applier tank top. The top is from a shop called Edenia and includes system layers in 14 colors, as well as appliers for Maitreya, TMP, and Slink. For something very basic that includes several colors and applier options, this is a great buy.
