In a quest to enjoy some sunshine and get some Vitamin D, Blue and I have taken to exploring bright beachy locations. These little excursions have led us to some pretty cool places. Not to mention that the promise of adventure is also probably the best way to get me out of my beloved pajamas. lol

Speaking of not being in pajamas, my colorful t-shirt dress is a free gift by UNA at Second Life’s 17th Birthday shopping event. It comes in rainbow, black, and white. Beachy Bliss

What is it about the beach that sets our minds at ease and calms our restless spirits?  Why do crashing waves and warm sand bring inner peace?  Maybe it has something to do with evolution and strange creatures crawling out of the primordial ooze, or maybe…it’s just pretty.  What do you think?

There are some fashion items that though they speak of another decade, they are timeless. I feel that way about dresses with peter-pan collars. Needless to say, I had to show this dress by Fashionably Dead. It’s their free gift in celebration of Second Life’s 16th Birthday. I think it happens to go perfectly with Lamb’s gift hairstyle for SL16B, and the gift set of pastel lip colors Alaskametro has out as their free SL16B gift. I felt like a 1960s fashion model with a modern edge. Keep reading for more info on each of these fantastic freebies.

I really love this free SL16B gift dress by Fashionably Dead. It comes in a wide range of solid colors, and has a girlish but still grown up look to it. The Fashionably Dead shop for SL16B is located in the Gilded region. This cute dress comes in the following sizes for each color: Maitreya Lara, Slink (Physique, Hourglass), Belleza (Isis, Freya).

This flowing over the shoulders hairstyle is the free SL16B gift by Lamb. It comes in a full fatpack of colors. It also has a hairbase style hud with the choice of hiding or showing the hairbase feature. Lamb’s shop is in SL16B’s Tinseled region. You’ll find this generous freebie waiting there.

Lastly, but far from least, I couldn’t complete my modern retro look without some shimmery lips. Alaskametro put out a pretty Omega applier “Bubblegum” lip gloss pallet as their free SL16B gift. It has 6 frosty pastel shades, and an additional feature that lets you pick from 3 different lip shapes for each color. I think that is a really cool option. If this is your first time fishing, I suggest getting a “casual” fishing rod. You can purchase a casual rod at the 7Seas fishing kiosk near the Sn@tch entrance. There are other rod options, but I only use a casual rod. The casual rod will cost you a one time purchase price of 100 linden. Once you have your rod you can use it forever to fish at any participating 7Seas Fishing area. Now you’re ready to go fish for this outfit!

Next up, I think this bento pose by Hazeel is just super cute. It’s one of a few currently available group gifts. The Hazeel group has a one time join fee of 99 linden. This soda pose includes the soda prop, the pose, and a transferable version of the soda. The Sea is Calling Me

Hi There Fab Free’rs! To those who celebrate it, I hope you had a fun July 4th. Mine was almost unbearably humid but still a lot of fun. With all the humidity down here in the south, I have been craving beach a beach day, heck I’d settle for a pool day! Soon, very soon I’ll find my way to the water. Summer Hippie
