Night at the Museum

Happy Monday, FabFree! It’s time for a night at the museum and I am stoked. I even brought my little puppy with me. I’ll just have to hide him in my purse to keep him away from the artifacts. I’m sure the pupster and I can sneak in some selfies when the security guards aren’t looking!

• My cute black and red plaid boots are a free gift at the Free Dove at the StephaneL designer booth. They have three amazing pairs of free shoes at the booth. Like all Free Dove gifts, you will need to join the free Free Dove group to get the boots!
• The beautiful choker I have on is a free gift from Sorumin on the Marketplace. It’s simply outstanding! I do not usually like chokers, but I love how detailed the rose is. There is colour HUD that comes with the choker that allows for a high level of customization (changing colours of the choker, the rose and the metals). 
• My wicked shorts are by Nerdy Girl, and they only cost 1 Linden on the Marketplace. Nerdy Girl has a load of dollarbies on their Marketplace store so scoop them up. 

Go With the Trend 

The last order of business today is all about Trend. I love this store, and I am more lucky letter prizes from this designer. I am currently wearing the sweet temptation lipstick and the hot eyeshadow. Trend’s group currently costs 250 lindens to join.

Hello again my fab free fam!

How do you decide what to wear?  Do you try to fit in and wear things that other people wear, or approve of, or do you do your own thing?  Do you dress according to mood?  Or maybe you have a system that helps you decide?

Me, I’ve always done my own thing, both in sl and rl.  It hasn’t always been the easiest to deal with (rl!) but I don’t have the ability to be anything but myself.  I’m very VERY bad at faking it.  What you see is what you get folks!  Now, in sl, we have a LOT more fashion choices than in rl.  I mean gosh I could NEVER fit all my sl clothing into my rl closet!  Nor would it all look as stunning on me as it does on my lovely sl avatar.  However, my choices are the same.  As I’ve said before, I feel like a sort of bohemian version of Elle Woods (Legally Blonde), while I was a tomboy most of my life and still mostly am, there is that part of me that lonnnnggggssssss to be girly but isn’t quite sure how to do it!  lol  I lost my mom at an early age and had no other female role models, so I became sort of a guys girl.   Many of my closest rl friends are guys and I find them easier to hang with than other girls, for the most part.  I’m not sure I ever properly learned how to “girl”.  lol  But I digress!  (I go off on side tangents, sorry  lol) My choices in both worlds reflect the bohemian, artsy, PINK-ishness, quirky soul that I am.  I don’t care if its in style, if I love it, I wear it.  Also unicorns.  anything & everything with unicorns.

I Don’t Even Know Myself

I always get a bit sad when one of my fave SL stores closes.  It’s like a little part of our collective virtual history is moving on, isn’t it?  I’ve got news of a few deals you can pick up today at just such a closing, so let’s hop right into it!

Massive Pout.

So yeah, Pout! is closing the virtual doors of its mainstore (they’re moving exclusively to marketplace, so they’re not disappearing completely, thankfully!).  So to send them off, there’s a massive sale going on where all makeup in the store is 50L!  I grabbed two makeup sets (with appliers for Catwa and Lelutka)- my really awesome eyeliner (there are several different looks in the pack) as well as the lipstick I’ve got on (again, with a wholleeee bunch of different colours to choose from!).  You’ve got a bit of time to head on over to Pout!, the sale is scheduled to creep all the way into September!

The Mane Event

My luscious lavender locks are courtesy of the new FREE lucky boards at Sintiklia.  There are all sorts of goodies up on the wall there, and you don’t even have to be a group member to partake.  Just hang around and wait for your letter to come up, and this look can be yours!  There are several different jewel tones and pastel hues in the HUD and three different bang options, as well as a stylist HUD included as well.  Mmmmm.  Free……

Easy Peasy

Summer often calls for the balm of the classic sundress.  Isn’t it just wonderful to be able to just slip on a dress and not really think about any other details?  It’s a full outfit, and it pretty much just looks and feels great.  Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Soft Spring Days

Spring has finally made it’s way here to Texas. The breezes have that wonderful softness that is late Spring with just a hint of the warmth Summer will bring. It’s a wonderful time to throw open the windows and go for walks in the woods.

Flowers for me?

While I was wandering the Shiny Shabby event, I came across this lovely sweater and skirt set from Sorumin in the ‘Fleur’ Gacha. I thought… “Hey, it’s only 50L per play… why not give it a shot.” And bingo! I pulled the Rare! I love the soft pastels and the overlong sleeves. And those tulips! The set comes with a HUD to change the colors of everything! The sweater has six colors, the skirt has five colors and even the tulips can be changed to suit your mood. (Four colors for that one.)

The Hunt For Beauty♥

Turns out Sorumin is celebrating their 1st Birthday! There is a little mini hunt happening at the Sorumin main store, just look for the cake pieces through out the store. Sleeping it Off

I had an exuberant weekend, and may have slightly overdone it with all the rocking, rolling and other gambolling about.  Luckily I found some cozy goodies to sleep it all off in a very reasonably priced Gacha at The Avenue!

Cozy Time

My pyjamas today are by Sorumin, who have two Gachas priced at just 35L per pull at The Avenue event.  I played the “Kawaii” Gacha, and got the shorts, top and cup full of kitty-themed cocoa in just a few clicks.  The great part is you don’t really have to wear them together.  I’m quite tempted to wear the shirt with a pair of jeans for a casual day look. This outfit is a Maitreya Lara exclusive.  If you’re feeling lucky, then you too can play the Kawaii Gacha at The Avenue!
