A Little Help From my Friends

Not much gets me so excited that I have to grab the person nearest to me and drag them on my adventures (sorry Aline).  But when someone uses the word ‘hunt’ when  we are chatting there is nothing to stop me racing off right away. There is something about having to track things down with no guarantee what you are going to get at the end of it that makes you tingle with that little bit of excitement. It’s a lot like a birthday that you have just worked really hard for and there is nothing more satisfying than being rewarded for a little bit of effort.
You have until the 29th February (thank you leap year) to get down there and grab all you want.

Poking about…

Leigh has a hunt on right now and there is more than enough to make multiple outfits, and mix and match till your heart is content.  There are fourteen items to find and you don’t have to walk miles to get to them either. To start, head over to Leigh and sit on the poster advertising the hunt and you are taken right to the clue giver.  An added bonus is the fact you are given images of the items so you can prioritize your targets. Two of the items are free (envelope items), the remaining ones are hidden in lipsticks around the room, they are 10 lindens each which is still quite a bargain! The store also has gifts for members and might well be worth a look, happy hunting!

Living Out Loud

It seems that I’ve been spending a lot of time around giant sweets these days, but I don’t mind so much.  Luckily I have a sweet tooth of epic proportions to keep up with the desserts of equally epic proportions.  Thank goodness I can eat to my heart’s content in SL and not put on any weight!

When I’m feeling playful, I always reach out for some bright colours to wear.  You really can’t beat a pastel hair colour, and some hot pink.  Luckily, these generous SL creators have got my back!  My sweet do’ was a gift at Hairology, and was previously blogged by Pru HERE.

The North Star

The Lady is a Vamp

Sometimes I feel a bit vampy, and it calls for red hair and a whole lotta latex.  When I get into this mood, there’s only one place to go – D’eVil!  The best thing about these high-gloss items is the fact that they’re completely free! 

The D’eVil Inside

D’eVil is a special little shop that is quite small, but crams a heck of a lot of really great clothes, boots and other interesting finds inside.  I remember being completely shocked when I walked through the door to see that everything in the store is 100% free.  Yes, you read that right.  The owner, Dariana, says that she has “nothing to sell, only to give away” because “having someone smile is the greatest thing in the world”.   Well, I sure did smile looking around the store.  There are several dresses, different kids of shoes, and a few adult-themed items, all priced at 0L.

Shine on, You Crazy Diamond

In the photo above, I am wearing the Jani dress, which has several versions inside the box, all in different transparency rates.  If you’re feeling daring, that is! It also comes in leather, for days where you want a bit more coverage.  This dress is a Maitreya Lara exclusive.    The Via boots are quite versatile, you could even wear them with an oversized sweater for a unique look.  They come with a texture HUD so you can choose from many colours to match your outfit or mood!  There is also a leather version included in the box.  These are also a Maitreya Lara exclusive.   The texturing on the clothes really is top notch, and sometimes I catch myself staring at the shine!

Candy is Dandy

It is the Candy Fair‘s 5th birthday, and I gotta tell you guys – it was sweeter than sweet!  Not only were there free gifts from almost every vendor, but the sim itself was festooned with sweet treats and bubblegum pink everything!  There were mazes, and tea parties, and giant cupcakes everywhere I turned.  Very scrumptious!

As you can see in my photo above, the sugar rush has taken over and I’m clearly thinking with my sweet tooth!  Do you think I’ve picked up enough lollipops? Doubt it…just a few more…

Epic Sweetness

This yummy looking bodysuit and matching donut ears are a delicious free gift from Epic at the Candy Fair, and I think I look pretty delectable in it.  I am now also craving donuts.  Interesting.  The bodysuit comes with an Omega Applier, and the headband is resizeable!

Going Blonde

I swapped my usually raven locks for a blonde updo, courtesy of Ayashi, who is always quite generous with their gifts.  I feel sweet as pie!  The hair comes in both rigged and unrigged, in this very wearable blonde hue, which is absolutely free at the Candy Fair!

Candy from Strangers

The mounds of packages at my feet from the Candy Fair piled up, and I needed a pick-me-up.  These free lollipops and pose from Ginger Fish were just what the doctor ordered!  How cute!

I Couldn’t Say Hell No!

Oh.  Em.  Gee.  Hello Fab Free!

I am so excited to be here!  As Love said in her introduction post HERE, I have been a reader of this amazing blog for 3 years.  I, just like many of you I’m sure, check the blog daily for those fabulous deals and gorgeous finds.  And now, here I am!  I’m just tickled pink!

I gotta say, these bloggers make it look easy, but scouring the grid for a fab look sure is a heck of a task.  I want to thank all the Fab Free bloggers for tirelessly seeking out awesome looks for us fashionistas (and fashionistos… is that a word?) to keep us looking gorgeous.  I will do my best to keep up with these well-heeled bloggers!
