Learning to Fly

Learning to drive is a stressful time for teens and their family. I can imagine that learning to fly is no better, but I guess I’ll never know! For today’s post I imagined that I was attempting to learn to fly a broom, as a newly discovered witch, but I was having a difficult time of it and my friend was making fun of me…you can see my reaction to that in the next photo below.

• This month Evil Bunny Productions is hosting their monthly themed hunt and it is called “Boo! Bunny Hunt 12” for October. Catherine Cloud of Princess Stuff has some fun gifts in the event. Take Me Away

I finally made it to Shop and Hop this weekend! I say finally but really it just started on the 16th and there’s still lots of time before it closes on July 5th. I think I’ve made it through 6 of the 20 regions (whose idea was TWENTY regions) and just whoa. This shopping and hopping takes stamina, y’all.

Dancing in the Moonlight

Hey gang!

Somehow in my travels this week I found myself surrounded by magical lights.  I teleported to see the winter landscaping and landed in the most beautiful cluster of holiday lights ever!  Oh my lanta!!!!  I literally said “wow!” out loud, oh if I only had the lindens to get them!  (I really do want those lights!)

So, I decided to enjoy them where they were.  The moon was full, the lights were magical and I just danced blissfully in the midst of all that magic!  No music needed, just the wintery sounds of evening and the gentle glow of the lights under the watchful eyes of the full moon.

On to the business at hand.

Hey Hey FabFree! Welcome to the weekend, at last! And you know what you need to do this weekend? Shop and Hop! Cause that free gift bonanza is all over on the 17th. And when you aren’t shoppin’ an’ hoppin’ you might get a little Huntin’ in too.

I love the bright flashy red and the thigh high boots are so unique. But get ready for some salty-ness from Juli… the set comes with a cute little short skirt too… a skirt that is so short, I didn’t feel comfortable even wearing it, let alone showing it on the blog. I don’t mind showing some skin… but I have my limits!   Ahem, anyway… this is not a dig at this designer or ANY designer or any one who likes showing off. Last but not least is my new comfy sitting arrangement on which to eat my tasty treat. This is the “Love letters Ottoman and rug” from Ballade. This adorable set is the 1L prize for the “Love Hunt”. For that one little Linden, you get both the ottoman and the rug which can be used separately. The ottoman has ten poses in it that are well suited for guys or gals. Hello again, FabFree. After Aline’s post about all the great loot over at the Halloween Shop and Hop I had to go check it out myself. And if you haven’t gone over yet… why not? There are so many gifts, plus gachas and great deals to be had.

Let’s start at the top, shall we. I am sporting the October Group Gift from Luas and it’s just spectacular! This is the Solar Crown and you can pick it up for free if you are a member of the Luas group. While there is a one time fee to join the group, it’s well worth it just for the tons of free gifts. There’s even a whole wall of past gifts to pick from. The crown comes with a HUD to change the colors of thermoses, the halo and the horns.

I also hopped over to the SOS Winter Faire where I found this cute hand painted snowball free from Bad Kats. A few booths have gifts and most have an exclusive item for the Fair.

The Survivors of Suicide group in Second Life has grown by leaps and bounds and is, in fact , the longest running mental health group on the Grid. The Holidays are often difficult times for people and reaching out is never easy. But knowing someone is ready to talk or just listen can make the difference to someone in need.  So, have fun shopping the Fair and know the moneys raised from the raffle and donations go to SOS helping with real recovery.

Before I Had My Coffee

Oh Hello There Fab Free’rs! I hope you’ve all survived the holidays so far. I for one do not want to see let alone eat another slice of pie for a very long time. Otherwise I’m doing pretty well. A Little Blue After All

Merry Christmas, FabFree-ers! I don’t know about y’all but I am ready for some relaxing after all the day’s excitement. The presents, the cooking… and the eating. Plus, there’s still pie let to enjoy too! But even with all the festivities, I found a little time for some ‘on the Grid’ fun.
