Love Day Beauty

It’s finally here!  Valentine’s Day!  What, you ask, does Desi wear on this festive day of love and sexiness?  Well, she wears what she always wears…cute stuff that she finds for FREE!!!

The Group Gifts at Brillancia are absolutely terrific and, ladies, you may not have gotten roses today, but you can join this group for FREE!!! The newest gift, the Anna dress, comes in all kinds of color HUD options.  You can switch up the skirt and top and the top and lower bands to find a style you like.  I paired the dress with the Group Gift heels named Arya (also free!).  These, too, are customizable…the leather, the laces, and the heel. I looked around the store, and I really like Brillancia‘s style.  Everything sort of looks the same around the grid as fashion trends hit all the stores at once, and Brillancia has some really sweet and unique outfits that are so pretty.  The designer, Eva Chekov, is also really nice.  I had a question, and she was super helpful.  I definitely shop at stores where the designers are nice!

So….whether you have a date or not for the big V-Day celebrations, you can still wander around the grid looking sensational.  There are a heap of free group gifts, and you will have so much fun trying everything on and working with the HUDS to create your custom happy look!

Waiting for Spring with Salt & Pepper

I love to find pretty things in SL.  It makes my heart so happy.  I fell in love with these butterflies, and I knew I needed an outfit that would match perfectly.  So, I went hunting to one of my favorite stores with lots of free gifts…. Salt & Pepper/The Birdcage!  On the day I visited, the group was free, but it’s now up to L300.  But…there are a ton of free gifts for VIPS that make that buy in worth it!

My favorite VIP gift is probably the CBD toilet paper because, I mean, who even knew there was such a thing, but I can’t wear TP, so I found this pretty little number called Mary, instead.  She has a great HUD for mixing and matching the ribbon and lace.  BUT, be sure you have some kind of modesty panty or thong laying about because Mary does not come with one.  I am wearing the universal thong from Kaithleen’s which is also a group gift (the group is 99L to Join) and comes with a sensational HUD.

Dashing to the Diner with Quinnty!

Every day, I am eager to read my blogging sister, Aline’s, Fabulous Finds post.  I run around and grab all the things I love, and when I spotted that uber sweet jacket at Quinnty’s that she posted about here, I just had to have it.  I joined the group (50L) and grabbed it, but THEN I looked at ALL the sweet Group gifts for VIPS, and, wow, I was addicted.  There are at least 10 of them but probably more.  It was hard to pick just one to showcase for you, but I picked Mae because it comes with everything for a complete outfit!  You get the cool jacket, the jeans, and these super cute sneakers!!!

Waiting for the Girls in FK Papillion

Steampunk for the Wanderlust Weekend Win @ Infiniti

I get soooo excited when the weekend sales come out.  Over the years, I’ve learned that fashion trends in SL are just like fashion trends in RL.  For example, right now, it’s impossible to find short nails because the long nails are all the rage.  But, weekend sales make it possible for me to find unique things that are around town and find new designers.  I still struggle with finding shorter nails, but I hold out hope!  Wanderlust Weekend is one of my favorite weekend events because I truly find unique new goodies all over the grid.

I had not heard of Infiniti Projects before, and while I don’t normally wear Steampunk or Apocalyptic wear, I am fond of the look from time to time.  Through the free Wanderlust Weekend hud (version 1.1), I popped into the store to find a TON of 50L goodies!  The outfit above is called Shandi.  The top and jacket are 50L and the skirt is 50L.  There are four leather colors (black, brown, burgundy and green).  They also had a corset on 50L special.  I checked out their prices for other fine threads, and they are really pretty good.

While I am not sure these hot sales will be up when you get there, they are definitely on the watch list for future Wanderlust deals.

Lucky Board Score @ LSR

Back in the day, my friend Daliah and I would spend all day running around the grid slapping boards, sitting in chairs, and finding the best freebies on the grid. Daliah had avatars in almost every letter and number so she was sure to score outfits for all of them.  They had different personalities and styles.  Whew, that was a lot of work.  Desi, however, has always just been one avatar, and all her lucky scores are the reason you get lost upon teleport…because her inventory is carrying around lucky chair items since 2006!

Sadly, Daliah returned to RL and took all her avatars with her.  But, I am keeping the pace and have a few favorite haunts that have produced beautiful threads.  I’ve already raved about Siss Boom’s FREE NGN lucky chairs here, but today I am going to take you to another of my other favorite haunts…LSR.  There is a 99L buy in, ladies, BUT, I promise you, it’s worth the cost.  You get so much FREE stuff by being a member!!!

Lost Hearts Hunt ~ 25 FREE & Fabulous Gifts!!!

I love me a good hunt, but I really don’t like hunts that are just too hard.  I mean, really, who has all that spare time???  I loved (LOVED) the Lost Hearts Hunt located at Valentine Island.  There are 25 easy to find prizes all over this very well decorated Valentine’s Day sim.  There are lots of places to take pictures; lots of places to picnic, dance or play with your SL partner!  But, what’s the BEST part you ask…well, everything is FREE!!!  No group is needed :-). You have some time to get there, but definitely don’t miss it!  The hunt lasts until February 20, 2022.

I don’t want to spoil the hunt for you…so I am not telling you where any of these little hearts are located, but, they aren’t overly hard to find.  They are FREE, so just right click and buy for 0L.  Don’t try the age old trick of looking up under Creator because the amazing creator, Tayren Theas, has created pretty much everything on the sim, so you will have beacons everywhere :-). Tayren has been on the grid a long time and designs for SL Ballet.

 I’ve featured a few of my favorite FREE gifts in the picture above, but, truly, I spent 20 minutes just trying to decide.  The Asian Teahouse comes with furniture and plants (not pictured).  The ladies pajamas match the Men’s boxers (also not pictured).  This chess set that I am standing on can be PLAYED!  The Fountain behind me has running water.  The couple’s tree comes in three versions (Spring, Winter, and White Flower).  There are also adorable Valentine’s chalk posters (not pictured).  The list goes on and on.
