Before and After

Cheerio gang!

This post is not your typical before and after.  Oh gosh I *do* love me a before and after, you know when they do makeovers?  It is one of my fondest wishes to one day get a makeover by professionals.  Alas.  But I love a makeover, it’s always so exciting to see what changes they make and how awesome whomever or whatever they were working on came out!

This is kind of a reverse before and after to showcase the awesome goodies I got at the Arcade Event, courtesy of Pare’.  Now, if you want to get all the juicy details of how the new system at the arcade works, I spelled it all out in my previous post here.  With that out of the way, let’s get on to the fun stuff, the goodies!  The machine for Pare’ is called Night Crawlers and is 75L a play and I had to come back on subsequent days to get both the outfits I was lucky enough to grab.  The above was the pink, which I love.  The below photo shows the Halloween version which I was lucky enough to get on my second day try.  I was originally going to just blog the pink one, but when I got the Halloween one as well, I couldn’t resist combining the two.

So, what exactly do I call my before and after?  The first photo, above, is before the Zombie Apocalypse, the second photo before is, well, after, obviously, and our brave heroine can tell she has become outnumbered and she is about to become Zombie herself.  Notice how she is biting her lip in distress?  So she has gone from geek chic to zombie hunter.

As I stated in my previous post, you choose the size you want to play for in the machine and I chose Maitreya Lara as that is what I wear.

Lessons learned by our lovely heroine… a gun works better than an axe when fighting zombies.  Unfortunately.

My giraffe friend here is a rare but oh my gosh are there some seriously cute goodies in this, the mice with lightbulbs?  Are you kidding me????  Sooooo squeeeeeable!  They are so cute I could just eat them!!!  But I won’t.

Finding Some Holiday Spirit

With Thanksgiving looming (I know I said I wouldn’t celebrate, but the rest of my extended family does.) and Christmas ever approaching, I felt the need to inspire a bit of the holiday spirit in myself. I put on a comfy somewhat Christmas-like outfit, even got out the reindeer antlers just for fun. Turned on some holiday music, hung some flashy snowflakes in my kitchen, and got to baking. This year I decided to challenge myself with Crème Brulee. After a couple of tries, I think I’ve got it down! Now to whip up a practice batch of Christmas cookies… not because I really need to practice making them, but rather I want to practice eating them. 😛

The Good Goth

There must be something goth-y in the air! With me, there’s always a little something goth goin’ on, I just don’t always show it. The “goth” look like the music of it’s time is very nostalgic for me. I don’t think I’ll ever not secretly (or not so secretly) love dark lips combined with black and grungy plaid clothing. All this being said, I couldn’t help but get a little giddy when I saw the Flippant gacha at the current round of SWANK.

This is the end-all-beat-all of girly goth fashion in one gacha machine, and at 40 lindens per play, you won’t feel guilty about indulging. This gacha from Flippant includes 1 rare accessory set, 1 uncommon top, 1 uncommon tattoo, 8 common pairs of boots, and 8 common skirts with textures to match the boots. Also, this “Oh Good Goth” gacha machine can be played at the SWANK event or at the Flippant main location. The cost per play is the same at both places. The top and skirt come in several mesh sizes for easy fitting, while the boots have re-size scripts. There are no “feet” required to wear these shoes. I just love the little socks! The shoulder blade rosary tattoo includes classic system layers, as well as appliers for Maitreya, Slink, and Belleza bodies. The rare accessory set has a multi-finger ring that seems to fit Slink Elegant1 hands, a right and left bracelet, matching necklace, and cross earrings (not shown). Steampunk Sweets and Envious Love

There are few things that I enjoy more than coffee and sweets. A close runner up would be finding great deals that include sweets and coffee! So I might have spent an afternoon indulging my sweet-tooth and my desire to play gacha machines at The Gacha Garden recently. The Gacha Garden has a fun setting to wander through and will be running through the end of November.

These decadent pastries and the delicious looking coffee are a few of the gachas from the Roawenwood machine at Gacha Garden. There is a complete set to be had of fun steam-punk themed items from chairs with poses to a checker board. The Roawenwood gacha machine is just 50 lindens per play.

Donuts in hand, I also stopped to play the Doe machine also at Gacha Garden. This gorgeous hairstyle was just too pretty to pass up. I love the half up/half down long flowing style with the braid at the top. The Doe machine is just 75 lindens per play and worth every linden!

Very near the Doe machine at Gacha Garden I found myself unable to resist the OXI gacha machine. I’m not sure how, but somehow my purse addiction like my shoe addiction has seeped into Second Life. I see a cute purse or clutch and I can’t help myself! The OXI machine is full of adorable round clutches for just 30 lindens per play, they really are too cute to resist.

To round out my day of gacha-ing I also stopped by Envious and picked up this very cute sweater dress. The dress is a current FREE group gift at Envious. PSYCHO Zombie Hunter!

I hope you’ve had a fabulous weekend Fab Free! So today, I thought I’d just have a little fun and play dress-up, Halloween style. Zombies are huge this year, if you’re not a zombie, why not be a zombie hunter? With the Wayward Halloween Gacha  items from Psycho Byts you can do just that! This gruesome gacha has all the gory accessories any zombie hunter could need.

The Psycho Byts machine at the Wayward Halloween Gacha  event is just 50 lindens per play. Each of the items is fully mesh, and some include a texture change hud. Starting with the hokey mask, this iconic horror accessory can be textured plain or bloody. The default position is over the face, but I edited the position to be as shown in the photo. Looks like I escaped the zombies just in time, these creepy severed zombie arms are animated to wiggle as if they were still “alive”. Every zombie hunter needs a weapon, and this machete is just the thing! The weapon comes with a hud so the machete can be clean or bloody, and includes an animation to switch from holding it out to holding it up over your shoulders. For an added creepiness factor, one of the Psycho Byts gacha prizes in this set are these monstrous zombie eyes. The eyes include a color change hud as well, with 3 color options. Lastly, if you need a souvenir of your zombie kills, you can score a necklace of ears, or this ghastly pail complete with the zombie head floating in blood. There are a few additional prizes in this gacha set that I didn’t show, so I’ve included a photo of the key below. To add a little to this glam-goth zombie hunter look of mine, I also picked up a cross lip applier by Mad’ on the Marketplace for just 15 lindens. The set includes lip appliers for TMP, Catwa, Lelutka, and Slink heads.

Boho Basics

Hey there Fabulouse Readers 🙂 I was visiting the latest round of Shiny Shabby the other day and came across this super fun Boho Daily Basics Set by Luas.  It’s just 50L per  play, and in the set there are several different styles of skirts and matching tops as well as the rare collar and also a bag (which I wasn’t lucky enough to score, but the event isn’t over yet!).  My favourite piece of the gacha set is actually the common floral skirt.  It’s so vibrantly coloured and full!

Gacha Warrior Princess Right Here!

Attention all lovers of fantasy, role-players, and dress-up dollies, the Mystery Gacha Fair is one you do not want to miss! Today I have the pleasure of showing you a few Mystery Gacha Fair items from Luas and from Glyph. First, this skirt from Luas is simply decadent, it has a beautiful flair and the jewel-toned fabric is gorgeous! I believe this skirt could be worn as part of a modern outfit just as easily as it lends it’s self to a fantasy one. There are 5 different skirt colors available at $30 lindens per play. The metal top with matching spiked necklace and pauldrons are also from the Luas Mystery Gacha machine, they come together as the “Rare”gacha prize. I really do like the combination of such feminine flow-y fabric with harsh looking metal and spikes. Then there are also 4 Mystery gacha prizes from Luas to be discovered. In addition to my Luas finds at the Mystery Gacha Fair, I picked up these incredibly detailed bracers by Glyph. I thought they suited my little fantasy warrior princess quite well! The bracers by Glyph come in black, brown, gold and silver versions with the Rare prize being a fatpack of all 4. Additionally, the bracers are unisex, in that they come in a male and female version, both of which can be re-sized. Glyph also has a Mystery gacha prize, which you’ll have to find out about on your own! This was a really fun look for me, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
