As I’ve mentioned before I may not celebrate what at least in the U.S. is considered a traditional Thanksgiving, but I do believe very much in practicing thankfulness. I am thankful for autumn weather, for the beauty of the season, thankful for love, and for friendship. Honestly, the more I think on it, the more I have to be thankful for. That is a very beautiful and fortunate thing. I also am so thankful I have the opportunity to be here doing something I enjoy, sharing awesome finds with all of you.
Clawtooth
For this post I have some bitter-sweet news. Clawtooth is closing for good at the end of the month. Bubbles Clawtooth, the designer behind the store, sent out a lovely sentiment explaining their appreciation for all that Second Life has given them, and their carefully made decision to move away from Second Life and on to other projects. What does that mean for us? The entire Clawtooth store is on sale at 70% off from now through the end of November. I am not at all ashamed to admit I spent a few more lindens than I needed to picking up some of the lovely hairstyles that will be gone forever once Clawtooth closes. There is also a free holiday hairstyle with no group needed, and I saw at least one group gift. No group is required for the sale, and gachas are included. Most of the hairstyles appeared to be priced between 45 – 66 linden per color pack, and gachas were averaging at 25 linden per play.
Fabulously Free in SL Group Gifts
Also, I wanted to take this opportunity to show off a few of the fantastic Fabulously Free in SL group gifts. As I’m sure you know, the Fab Free group is free to join and there’s a full (continually updated) group gift list here of all the free gifts. The free Fab Free group gift skin at 7 Deadly Skins is a cute freckled female skin called Genie. She comes in a “lights” skin-tone pack with BOM layers, and Omega appliers for body and head.

The free gift at West End for Fab Free group members is their “Simple Little Choker.” It has resize scripts, and a color change hud with 17 color choices.

Hello Fab Free, it’s that time again. We’re having a late-night edition of Designer Friday this week. I hope you don’t mind. The designer for this week is Northern Sky Creations. First, Northern Sky Creations is in such a fun location, right next to the beach. So once you’ve finished shopping you can catch some sun! Northern Sky Creations is a ladies clothing boutique with an elegant playful style. Most of the clothes are dresses ranging from casual day dresses to elegant gowns. There are a few casual tops, and pants outfits. Also, with Easter this weekend, check out the “New Release” section for some sexy bunny outfits, if you’re so inclined. The second floor has a small number of earrings, and a few Christmas themed outfits. Happy Shopping!
Store Groups
Northern Sky Creations has a subscriber group if you do not wish to join an in-world group. Joining the Subscriber group you’ll get the usual updates. The in world group will grant you access to group gifts, the Midnight Mania board, and the Lucky Letter boards along with updates and information about sales. This group has a one time join fee of 10 linden. The current group gift for the Northern Sky Creations group is a cute summery pants outfit with a halter style top.
Fabulously Free in SL Group Gift
As expected, there is a fantastic Fab Free group gift for Fabulously Free in SL group members at Northern Sky Creations. You might recall it from a previous blog post titled “Cheesecake Radio.” It is still available, and of course it’s free with your Fab Free group tag. The Fabulously Free in SL group is and always will be free to join. This gift is a playful brightly colored tunic sized for several mesh bodies, and compatible with classic avatars. It is also wearable for mesh and classic avatars!

I picked up this comfy colorful tunic at Northern Sky Creations for free with my Fab Free group tag. Casual look handled, today feels like a lazy indulgent sort of day. The kind of day that requires cheesecake. Andika has this almost too pretty to eat cheesecake as their most recent group gift. This loose flowy tunic is a free gift at Northern Sky Creations for all Fabulously Free in SL group members. As I am sure you know, the Fab Free group is free to join. This colorful top comes in several sizes and has an alpha layer to make it suitable for non-mesh avatars, and we love that.
Cheesecake has to be my favorite of all the sweet things. Andika has this beautiful, deliciously detailed NY Cheesecake Dispenser Set as a free group gift. The Andika group is also free to join at this time. This set comes with 2 plated cheesecake dispensers, a decorative cake, and a set of decorative plates for a mouth-watering table setting. The dispensers give out a held plate with a slice of cheesecake, and an animated fork. I’ve added the ad for this set below so you can see the additional pieces of this gift that are not included in my photo.
