Flying Monkeys and Cute Fall Outfits

coming soon

Hey gang!

Both real life and second life feel like they are pulling me in ten directions each. Literally, I feel like the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz. Remember when the flying monkeys pulled him apart and threw him all over the place? Well right now both lives are my flying monkeys. Anyone got any flying monkey spray handy? (and how many times can I say flying monkeys in one post, eh?)

Whimsical Delights

At least I snuck in a little bit of time to wander the magical pathways of the Secret Garden Event. Alas my friends, I spent far more than was wise, but there were so so many whimsical delights waving to me from those Nextup machines. Saying “I’m next, look how wonderful I am, you know you must bring me home!” Well, who am I to argue?

So I put on this cute outfit from the MOoH! nextup and headed out for a walk. I’ve got the key for you below so you can see the entire batch of goodies. I wanted to wear the knee socks but for the life of me I could not figure out my layers in my mesh body. Sometimes I can get them to work and sometimes, well, let’s just say it ain’t pretty. So my apologies to Dalraida over at MOoH!

This outfit fits maitreya only but it comes with everything, even the hat (you have to get each item in the machine though and mix and match them). I fell in love with it the minute I saw it and since I am homeless at the moment, I’ve been traveling around in this and had several compliments as well as people asking me where I got the outfit.  It’s 50L per sale and there’s also a copy/mod fatpack at a discount.

More soon gang!  Hope you are staying toasty warm where ever in the world you are!

Before and After

Cheerio gang!

This post is not your typical before and after.  Oh gosh I *do* love me a before and after, you know when they do makeovers?  It is one of my fondest wishes to one day get a makeover by professionals.  Alas.  But I love a makeover, it’s always so exciting to see what changes they make and how awesome whomever or whatever they were working on came out!

This is kind of a reverse before and after to showcase the awesome goodies I got at the Arcade Event, courtesy of Pare’.  Now, if you want to get all the juicy details of how the new system at the arcade works, I spelled it all out in my previous post here.  With that out of the way, let’s get on to the fun stuff, the goodies!  The machine for Pare’ is called Night Crawlers and is 75L a play and I had to come back on subsequent days to get both the outfits I was lucky enough to grab.  The above was the pink, which I love.  The below photo shows the Halloween version which I was lucky enough to get on my second day try.  I was originally going to just blog the pink one, but when I got the Halloween one as well, I couldn’t resist combining the two.

So, what exactly do I call my before and after?  The first photo, above, is before the Zombie Apocalypse, the second photo before is, well, after, obviously, and our brave heroine can tell she has become outnumbered and she is about to become Zombie herself.  Notice how she is biting her lip in distress?  So she has gone from geek chic to zombie hunter.

As I stated in my previous post, you choose the size you want to play for in the machine and I chose Maitreya Lara as that is what I wear.

Lessons learned by our lovely heroine… a gun works better than an axe when fighting zombies.  Unfortunately.

The End

Innocent Until Proven Evil

Innocent until Proven Evil

When hinges creak in doorless chambers, and strange and frightening sounds echo through the halls. Whenever candlelights flicker where the air is deathly still — that is the time when ghosts are present, practicing their terror with ghoulish delight!

-Haunted Mansion Ride, Disney parks

Hey gang!

I’m back with some ghoulish delights of my own, found at the new style Arcade Event.  The event has been updated from the old style gachas into a new system of its own, which has you grabbing a HUD as you enter, and which you wear while you shop.  When you find a machine you want to play, you connect it to the machine. (don’t spend fifteen minutes trying to find it on the machines like I did at first, each machine is on a base and at the front of each base is two buttons, one to connect your HUD.)

Once you are connected, it will show you which item has been chosen for you to play for.  If you want that item, you pay the machine (if you try to pay it without the HUD, it will refuse your money and send it back to you.), if not then disconnect and head to another machine.  If you do play, you will get that item and the HUD will show you a new, random choice.

If you want to try again, you have to wait until the next day, as it will reset at midnight, and you can get new random numbers.  If you try again that same day, you will get the same numbers.  It’s kind of fun, really (and a bit addicting!).

So I lucked out on this play, the Mikunch machine where I got this cute dress (you choose the size you want to play for on certain machines), I chose Maitreya cause that’s what body I use.   It comes with a HUD giving you a handful of color choices (black, white, red, pink).  It’s only 75L a play.

This dress gave me sort of a “Bad Seed” sort of vibe, perfect for Halloween.  She is just a sweet girl, right?  Right?!  Only time will tell!

Happy Haunting!

Boo!

Oh it’s just me gang!  Did I scare you?  No?  Not even for a minute, huh?  You all are way too smart for me!  I just can’t trick you!

Since I can’t trick you, howsabout a nice Halloween style treat?  Yes?  Great!

Grim Grinning Games!

If you head on over to Spooktacular, you can get spooky too!  This is a new event running the entire month of October (the 31st, which is, of course, Halloween!) where you can find those brand new, handy dandy, nifty and fun, newfangled Next Up machines!  Now, if you haven’t seen them yet, these are the replacements for many of the old Gachas.  The machines look very similar, but each machine will show you a photo or a number of what prize is next, meaning if you choose to pay the machine at that moment, you will get the prize shown.  If you *don’t* like the prize shown, or have your heart on something else, just give it some time and check back, once someone else plays, the numbers will move forward to reveal other prizes in the machine.  So while gacha was a game of chance, these are more a game of timing.  Both seem to include some element of luck.  But here at Fab Free, we make our own luck cause we are stubborn girlies!

This costume I am wearing is from MOoH!, it is only 50L a play and they are Flat Skeleton Avatars!  There are lots to choose from (see key below) and I am showing you the Devil one.  It is a very weird feeling being flat!  Kinda fun too, so give it a try.  Since these are complete avatars, they fit *everyone*.

The Halloween fun continues!  Stay safe Guys and Ghouls!
