Hey Fab Free! I am hanging outside the Fabulously Free in Second Life Info Hub! There’s been a lot of talk about all the free gifts and sales we have over here by Jacx here and Arielle here, but I was admiring the beautiful Halloween decorating at the Hub! It provided the perfect backdrop to show off these cozy fall looks I created. 

Funny, Fan(Tastic) Sweatshirts

Have you all been to Tastic? They have the funniest shirts with amazing sarcastic sayings on them. On the left, the sweatshirt says, “I’ve been ready for Halloween since last Halloween” which is literally true for me. Halloween is my favourite time of the year in SL! This sweater costs only 10 Linden on the Harmony Hunt at Tastic.

The other sweater I am wearing on the right says “Resting Witch Face”. This is not a gift, but it is more in the spirit of the hilarious products Tastic is known for. I have been known from time to time to give that face when I’m not in a good mood. They have lots of other goodies and freebies at Tastic so make sure you check the store out!

Shoes with Stockings on Sale!

I am enjoying wearing lots of cozy stockings and cute shoes this fall season. I am fashioning some here. 

• On the left are a pair of black boots with cat-themed stockings. The stockings come in plain, polka dot and striped black, grey, red and pink versions. These are sized for Maitreya, Physique, Hourglass, Isis and Freya. I purchased these at MOoH! with the October gift card worth 150 Linden for group members. Fall Blue

Good afternoon, Fabulous Readers. We are getting to the time of year when warm is becoming as important as stylish. The days grow cooler and I fore see sweaters and fleece in my future. Happily, Mystrie has that in mind for todays outfit.

This is the “Autumn Walks” outfit and you can pick it up for just 1L and a little hunting at the main store. The hunt prize for the Changing of Colors Hunt comes with the blue fleece look top, a pair of pants with a fall print and the ‘blue suede shoes’. I chose to throw on a pair of well-worn jeans for my walk today proving that the outfit is rather versatile. As I often have to chase after Dixie when she takes off after a squirrel, I thought jeans were appropriate.

Something about Spring

Hey there, FabFree. Are you into the Spring season yet? I know some of our readers are actually going into Autumn so all of our Spring weather ramblings must sound sorta out of place. But… ya gotta grow where you’re planted and right now that means Spring in all it’s glory.

The Grid is celebrating Spring with a ton of Spring themed Hunts. Today’s hunt included a very nice men’s shirt and jeans so I grabbed my Gabriel and off we went. The Hop Along Hunt was a fun quick Hunt over at MystRie and it netted us both these snazzy Spring outfits.

My maxi dress, “Softly Spring’ is a lovely wash of watercolors with pale pinks and a floral pattern. It looks like something I’d have in my real life closet! Beautifully made, it’s the perfect addition to my SL closet.

Hey FabFree! Can you believe we are rolling so fast towards the end of July? I’ve still got a list of things that need to be done before that! I’ve got Hunts and Fairs and events all stacking up!  So lets get at least one of those going now.

Celtic Love

I love the Celtic history and language and countries. Scotland is my family’s ancestral home both on the Grid and in the Real world. So I had to take part in the Celtic Celebration Hunt.  And since I can’t resist a man in a kilt, I convinced Gabriel to come along.

These are the men’s and women’s gifts from Mystrie for the Hunt : the Aina dress and the Aiden Kilt.  The dress comes as one easy piece and is a lovely build. If you can’t see in the picture, there is Celtic knotwork all down the skirt and the texture in the bodice is so detailed. This will be a staple in my RP closet.

The Aiden Kilt comes in three pieces – the shoes and socks, the kilt and the vest. Gabriel did add the undershirt from his own closet. Again, the details are spot on. The textures are smooth and well made.

The Celtic Celebration Hunt runs until July 29th so don’t wait around to get your Hunt on!

Remember

We are heading into the Memorial holiday weekend here in the States, people are firing up their grills and making weekend plans… oh… well maybe not with the Virus hanging over our heads. Home for the Holidays

Would it even be Christmas without brightly colored matching Christmas sweaters? I think not. Honestly though, that man of mine is a pretty good sport for agreeing to matching holiday-wear in the first place. A Whole New World

Living in a fairy tale…

Isn’t that what Second Life is all about? If you can dream it, you can be it. So, today I decided that I would relive one of those special movies from my daughter’s childhood, Aladdin. I was lucky enough to find the Arabian Nights costume at ~MystRie~ for just 1L as part of the Fairy Tale Hunt. The costume consists of a vest, pants with shoes, both in sizes XS-XL, armbands, a necklace, a turban, and even a beard. But you need to hurry. The Fairy Tale Hunt ends on January 10th.

On a magic carpet ride…
