Pride Never Stops

The end of June is nigh upon us. Pride never stops; it shouldn’t. It’s a choice you can make to support the LGBTQ+ community and remember the history of struggles to obtain basic human rights. My support comes naturally as I have long-time friends and family who are LGBTQ+. You’ve probably seen several posts about Pride @ Home and other events.

To help you show support there are a number of Fabulous designers who donated gifts for the Pride @ Home SL celebration. All of the gifts are Free but you need to hurry because the event ends on June 30th. Madame Aline, the FabFree boss lady, featured some of the event gifts here.

Showing Those Rainbow Colors

Ladies, how can you NOT love these items? I do love sparkly things! And the bright colors make me smile. I threw this look together with several gift items. Do I look a tad too festive to anyone? No way, never ever! Let’s get to it.

My delightful bodysuit is a Free SL19B gift from PrettyDeceased. It’s the Pride edition and it is so pretty & festive! It’s got the little side skirt attached. It also comes with starfish to cover up the boobies.

I didn’t wear the starfish because I wanted to add the crown and breast plate I picked up a couple of weekends ago from Synnergy.  I think the pieces go together quite nicely.

Free the Mind: Imagination Vibrations

Second Life is about imagination.  We can do things, see things, BE things in Second Life that we can only dream about.  It’s a fantasy world where we each get to be a star.

Monarchs Kingdom is not a store.  They are a performance dance troupe, and you can attend their live shows or watch their videos here.  So how, you ask, did they end up on the FabFree blog???

Each month, their creator, Royal Shippe, places a group gift of decor out for free.  Royal isn’t any ordinary dance designer, he’s won awesome awards like the Avichoice Performance Artist of the Year.  The gifts are elaborate set pieces from the many awesome shows he’s created.  They are 100% original.

The April gift (called the Megapack Holo Trees & Humanoid Statues) is pictured above includes a whole set of large and small holographic trees in a variety of colors and this sculpture called Corellia (which comes with a mirror).  I paired the set with a post set from Something New called Dress Me Again that is currently available at Cheeky Wow for a sweet 50L!!!

If you love backdrops as much as I do, you will LOVE the monthly gifts.

The Look of the Week!

My heart breaks when one of my favorite designers leaves the grid.  Had you known me 12 years ago, you would know I as one of the Rebel Hope Super Fans.  But, sadly, that store is no more.  Purple Moon, one of FAVORITE designers, left the grid a while back.  Each design was unique and there were just amazing deals each week for fresh NEW styles not found other places. Their Advent Calendar was, hands down, the very best on the grid.   My heart broke when Purple Moon closed up shop.

But, I am happy to report, Purple Moon is BACK!!!  Now Called PM, they are sporting a smaller boutique with fabulous fresh designs and updates for previous threads.  There are Group Gifts (99L Group Fee) and Lucky Chairs, but my new fave?  The Look of the Week!  Pictured above, the Look of the week offers up one design for 55L.  This adorable little jumper is just in time to usher in the Spring!  This jumper will be available until April 4th, so run, ladies!

I love love love weddings.  If you’ve read some of my previous posts like this one, you know I am always trying to help a girl say YES to a cheap dress!!!  And, who knows, one of these days Angus might even propose!  He definitely gets a lot of practice suiting up in his tux!

I was on my weekend rounds looking for EVEN MORE lipstick.  I mean, really, how much virtual lipstick can a girl use???  But, I also had a hankering for a wedding dress that is affordable.  All those Valentine Proposals are nearing fruition, right?  I can’t let you girls hang!  I couldn’t find anything affordable, so I went on over to Marketplace and on my FIRST TRY found this amazing Nia gown from Tiffany Designs for just 45L!

I love that the flexi is optional.  I loved the little shoulder sparkly veil thing, but maybe that’s not your thang.  No worries!  Just detach.  Don’t want the added sparkly train?  Only want it on one side?  Want all the sparkles for your service but not the reception?  NO WORRIES!  Detach, attach, whatever your heart wants!

Flower Shower!

I love me a good fashion event in SL.  I love them more when gifts or dollarbies are a part of it!!!  The TWE12VE Event is one of my favorite.  Great designers and really nice 12L dollarbies & even a freebie!!!  I picked up this adorable “Lucky” dress from Shanti just in time for St. Patty’s Day (free gift, no group required), and these adorable Origami earrings from LooLoo & The Platypus to match.  The earrings come in gold, silver, and variations of color with those metals.  For 12L, you can’t go wrong! Twe12ve is running until March 31st.

Beauty is in the Eye of the Wicked Brat

Ladies, I have a new addiction.  Well, ok, when it comes to shopping in SL, I have lots of addictions.  My latest is eyes.  I have all kinds of eyes, but I love the eyes that have HUDs.  This makes life so much easier for everyone!

So, here’s the story.  Today, I was inworld cleaning my props area because, well, I don’t clean in RL, and SL is fantasy, right??  Who’s with me here?

I got an inworld notice about a new store (new to me, anyway) called Wicked Brat.  They have eyes…they have group gifts…and who wants to clean up props???

WOW!  Ladies!  RUN to Wicked Brat.  Firstly, they have a FREE group to join.  By joining the group, you get a sweet L250 Credit for FREE!  It’s like they are paying you to get some nice eyes!! I used that store credit to buy the eyes above called Adore.  Aren’t they simply stunning???

As if that weren’t enough, they have a FREE group gift set of eyes called Shimmer.  Aren’t these beautiful???
