New Beginnings

Hey FabFree! I am slowly starting to crawl out from under my dark rock. After a long few months of depression, I’m starting to feel a bit better. I did end 2022 on a great note, however, as I got married and that started my new year out on the right foot. Let’s hope 2023 is better!

Tropical Autumn

I am slowly playing around with introducing a dark autumn vibe in my photos. You all know I love spooky season and it’s starting to creep up on us just a bit! This look is a bit of a mix of summer, autumn, and darkness, so perfect for where we’re at right now at this time of the year.

Just a Spoonful of Sugar For Me…

The Spoonful of Sugar Festival just recently began, as it opened on September 3rd and it closes on September 18th. You only have about 10 more days to check out this great event, and they have a whole lot of stuff to check out!  There’s so many different parts to this event! Most importantly, this event is a benefit/fundraiser, as most of the sales from the event and 100% of the proceeds from hunt (note that it is a paid hunt with a 500L fee) are given to Doctors Without Borders. You can read more about the Spoonful of Sugar Festival on their website here. As you walk around the event, check the tags on the items to see how much of your funds will be donated to the cause.

Today I am showing a 10L outfit from Ari-Pari at the Spoonful of Sugar Festival. Just pay the sugar bowl/coconut drink object 10L in their booth at the event here and the outfit is yours. This 10L item is not part of the hunt and anyone can get it for 10L. The outfit includes a colour hud that lets you change the base of the dress to 5 different tropical patterns, and the ruffle skirt to 6 different colours. 100% of the proceeds for this item goes directly to Doctors Without Borders. If you go around the whole event , each booth has a 10-20L item in each booth in the sugar coconut bowls, where 100% of the proceeds go to the cause. I was trying to spend all my SL19B gift credits the other day and it was a marathon! I’m still not done spending. You can read all about the credits in my post here, which has been recently updated. I’m showing you what I bought at Nuve with my free credits today. I headed over to their mainstore and checked out their discount section, where I found a pack of smashing lipsticks. They come in two different packs. These are an HD applier for Lelutka Evolution, but they work great on my Lelutka EvoX head! The Darkness Event

When Life Gives You Lemons…

Hey FabFree! It’s been a minute, but I’m back now, taking in all the sun and enjoying the summer weather. I am embracing that saying fully here with “when life gives you lemons make lemonade”. The Summer Carnival event is a big hit this year. The Summer Carnival is filled with cotton candy and popcorn machines, awesome summer items and fun carnival games to play! They also have a couple freebies out, so there should be something for everyone. Some of the free items I am showing from the event today are:

Yep, I’m jumping on the FabFree wagon of wishing Second Life a happy birthday! Happy Birthday SL! 18 years is a LONG time in virtual years! Whoopiee!! *hangs birthday banners and throws confetti at all of you*🎉 

As Aline and Arielle already showed us here, here, and here, there are lots of free items at SL18B to celebrate SL’s 18th Birthday. I am still getting through the event bit by bit! I will share some of the awesome gifts, deals, and gift cards I found so far!

Goodies at SL18B!

• Monomania has a 500L gift card out at the event for their group members at their booth on the Jubilant sim. I had to have the Surrender Yourself set, which includes the coat, top, skirt and boots I am wearing. The colours of each piece in the set can be changed to a number of colours. It is the exclusive for the event and it is purchasable with the gift card, and will leave you with 300L left to spend. To get the gift card, you need to join the Monomania group, which costs only 50 Linden. Monomania also has a free outfit at SL18B. Now is a good time to get into their group, because in addition to all these amazing goodies they are offering at Jubilant, they also have many group gifts at their mainstore.
• The cute little books and plant are a free gift from Korpokkur House at SL18B. This gift is so cute, and it matches my new painting perfectly! There are so many gifts at the event, so I am just showing you a glimpse of the awesomeness that awaits at SL18B!

Streamers!

I needed to pick up some streamers for the birthday festivities and a gacha by Ari-Pari at the Summer Carnival did just the trick! These banners are great for any parties, indoor or outdoor, to celebrate all the awesome events going on this month! They only cost 25L per pull and they include lights too. So cute!

Wear Who You Are

Another must-have gift I wanted to share today is the new Pride Hair Color Universal Hud from EscalateD. It is free for all either at the .EscalateD. mainstore or on the Marketplace. I’ve talked about .EscalateD. hairs before, and the way they work is that the hair colour huds can be used on all EscalateD hairs currently for sale- they are universal.
