There is all kinds of hocus pocus going on this month. And loads of treats can be found at the Halloween Shop & Hop being put on by Linden Labs. Have you seen the other posts about it from my amazing and talented fellow FabFree bloggers? View them HERE. I found this cozy little jeans and sweater set for only L$30 each at the Shop & Hop. Let’s talk details:  (Correction: pants are now 150L)

• This sweater and jeans are both from Vagrant’s booth at the Shop & Hop. They are both fit for Belleza Freya, Legacy, Maitreya and Slink Hourglass. They also include a texture/color HUD. The jeans have 8 shades of denim, 7 metals and 29 patch options…you can see the patch I’m talking about in the next photo below. The sweater has 8 color choices.

The patch in the jeans is so funny! All the solid color choices have this same quote. Then there are some graphic designs too that you can use.

Alrighty a few more things from the Shop & Hop, these are all free!

• This fun Halloween themed hair style is from the Ginko booth. It comes just as you see it with a resizer script since it is unrigged.
• My nails are from FormaNails‘ booth. They fit Belleza, Maitreya, Kupra, Legacy and Reborn hands and include an HUD with 10 texture options.
• Knife Party’s booth has this lovely lipstick in 4 choices and it is BOM for Lelutka Evo X only.
• Finally, my eyes are the gift at Musa’s booth and come as an applier for Lelutka Evo X or a BOM option.

A Lot of Fight Left In Me

I stumbled upon a new event a few days ago! I’m sure it’s not *actually* new but it’s new to me. And wait, I didn’t tell you the best part yet…there are looooots of free gifts!

Astral

The event is called Astral Dreams and it’s full of lots of interesting things. Not your typically clothes and stuff, but neat tattoos and accessories and such. You will need to join the event group (for free) and then click on the boxes at most of the booths to get the free gifts. Pretty standard practice. The boxes rezzed last for me though, so you might need to be patient. I realize that I look a bit petulant today but I’m really quite pleased with the goodies that I found. All of these are free gifts from the Astral Dreams event:

• My eyes are by S H I M M and quite pretty. They come in a nice range of blues and greens, with a pretty purple thrown in as well, and with appliers for Lelutka and Catwa.
• The scratch under my eye is courtesy of Knife Party. It comes as a BOM layer. Sounds weird, but I do enjoy a good wound in SL and this one is quite well made. Ahem. Anyway, moving on.
• Hexed gifted the pretty tattoo that I’m wearing, which covers the chest, shoulder blades, and half way down each arm (you can see where it ends on my left arm). There are various opacity versions included, all as BOM layers.

But, also…

My hair is one of the new Midnight Mania prizes at Moon! These new prizes are really fantastic and the board fills up fast. Join the group for 350L if you’re not already a member (there’s a shelf full of group gifts if you need to be enticed just a little farther) and make sure to arrive early to slap the board each day. I can’t say enough good things about Moon hair, and most of them include a style HUD and color HUD with all kinds of options (I’m wearing one of the ombres).

My Worst Distraction

I was so excited to tell you that a new round of the WIP Event has opened and it’s their 2nd anniversary but Aline did it before I could. SO many free gifts! To be fair, I was probably distracted by my little orrery. Some things can’t be helped. So you already know that WIP is opened, that you need to join the free WIP Event group, and that there are free gifts for said group at pretty much every booth there.

Here are the things I’m showing today, all available for free at WIP:

• The lovely little solar system that I’m looking at intently is the free gift from Vulnus. It attaches to your finger with the hand pose and rotates quite distractingly, in the most pleasing of ways.
• Graceful Curves is gifting the cute little heart tattoo below my left eye for free, in a BOM layer for EvoX.
• My lipstick is free from Knife Party in this shade and another just as bold and fetching, both also on BOM layers for EvoX.
• I absolutely love this top that Anastyle has out free at the event, and it comes sized for Freya, Hourglass, Isis, Legacy, and Maitreya. So cute!
• And last but not least, I thought this fun little sunflower skirt complimented the top well and Baboom is giving it out for free at their booth, sized for Legacy and Maitreya.

I know, it’s a lot! And I’m not even scratching the surface. The event runs from August 2nd till the 22nd. Have fun!

Just Let Me Shop & No One Gets Hurt!

The BIG news is that FabFree at Fifteen has started! See Aline’s post here. It’s pretty exciting that so many designers are helping to celebrate FabFree’s 15th Birthday. There are oodles and oodles of gifts and sale items priced at $75L and lower. Some have even crafted special items for the shebang! You can scroll through the gallery.

After running all over the grid yesterday picking up goodies (there goes the inventory again, lol) I need a break. A lovely day on a beautiful sim is just what I needed for a relaxing Sunday. I love exploring new places when looking for a photo spot. What I do is open up the viewer’s search function and type in whatever type of place might fit my whim & hit enter. You’d be amazed at the places you can find to explore.

Telsiope’s Couture has become one of my favorite designers over the past year. Sitlan Breil, owner & designer, is one of FabFree’s supporters. And yes, has done it again with three items for the FabFree at Fifteen event. Today I’m wearing the Morena dress priced at only $50L.  Morena, with its cool design can be your quintessential summer dress. There are three texture change huds for a total of 34 different choices. You can’t beat that with a stick.

I never wear makeup in real life these days but I love to play around with it in Second Life. Makeup has been my newest collection obsession. Dilettante or Not?

It’s another Fabulous Friday readers! I get to play in SL all day because in addition to the heat wave the monsoon season has arrived. Not really monsoons but lots of thunderstorms; it just feels like a monsoon. In addition to my shopping errands this morning I did a bit of exploring and found a serene harbor in a sim named Midnight Oasis. I haven’t explored the entire place yet but what I did visit is stunning. Everywhere you turn there are magnificent Mediterranean vistas and many places that photographers will love. I highly recommend a visit.

Free Spirited

Cheeky Wow! started a new round on July 7th. Many of the booths have at least one item for $69L and several have free gifts. One of my long time favorite designers, Shanti Bohemian, has a booth there. My carefree top and skirt, the Poppy Bohemian outfit, is Shanti’s $69L offer at the event. Its the kind of outfit you want to wear when you feel like twirling around because you’ll look so darling. The lovely texture on it is very detailed.

Baby Blue Ain’t Your Color

Says who? I mean I adore the Keith Urban song but who says I can’t have blue hair if I want it. Exile‘s Fifty Linden Friday offer solved that dilemma. Kate is a casual style with a dark to light gradient in 5 colors. The blue really compliments my outfit.

Pure Poison offers this striking pair of shoes today for Fifty Linden Friday. Exquisite barely describes the Luisa Sandals! Decorated with two rows of delicate flowers the included hud is massive allowing you to change many different parts to match whatever you’re wearing.

Time for Chillin’

Whew! It’s way too hot outside. In fact, most of the US is in the middle of a heat wave. And it’s not the Martha & The Vandellas type. Oh no! It’s more like fry eggs on the sidewalk hot. Being able to sit in an air conditioned space and retreat to Second Life is a blessing. I need beach time with ocean breezes, a bikini, and cool water to float in.

The Hair!!

When I’m in the mood to buy a new style I always check out the Seraphim SL Outlet Infinity Event offerings. Ha! I’m always in the mood for that. You’ll find hairstyles that are usually discounted by at least 50%. The latest one to catch my eye was Mersia by Wasabi ($125L). Styled with a braided ponytail and bangs it comes with a styling hud to change up the look. It’s a fantastic style for the beach don’t you think? You can also change the accessory ties.  It may not be under 75L, but it’s a great deal to check out.

Pretty Lips Muak!

Featured by Aline in Fabulous Finds my stunning lipstick was offered as a dollarbie at the Holloway Beauty Store. It was no longer available there when I checked earlier today. Have no fear, I found on the marketplace for the same price. The applier gives you the choice of a red, a blue, and a red, white, & blue (USA) option. Oh lest I forget to mention – the lipstick sparkles! So very cool.

Think it’s time to find a frosty drink. You know, the kind Aline always has in one hand. : )
