Somedays our worlds get a little gray. For a variety of reasons we all have struggles and hard times. And sometimes all we need is for someone to bring a little color and sunshine to our life. I’m grateful for the people in my life that have done and continue to do that for me!

Alice Klinger of Alli&Ali Designs releases the most beautiful, extensive list of hair texture options I have ever seen! Seriously, the choices are endless and sure to fit any mood you are in. The group gifts she offers give you a taste of those options and the hair I’m showing you today is Beth, the current (through August) FabFree gift from Alli&Ali. The Naughty Housewife

Ladies.  It’s confession time.  I “may” have gone a little nuts at the Dubai Event.  Most stands have a 49L sale item, and, well, I just couldn’t help myself.  There were soooo many cool items to chat about, but I have to focus on just a few.  I found this cute little 49L dress called Callie from Rainn and simple sweet Sherri heels (also 49L) from Tantrum.

The cute little retro dress only comes in this color, but I love Tiffany blue, so I liked it right away.  The shoes…oh Ladies…the SHOES!  The HUD has all KINDS of colors and three areas to choose what you want.  They are simple yet pretty and go with any outfit you might have stashed away.

As I was putting together this outfit with the 49L pose set called “This Beautiful Life” from West End, I totally got the “naughty housewife” vibe…I mean, I DID just spend, um, a lot, on makeup, shoes, clothes and, well, if I were a wife, I’d definitely be a naughty one!

Flower Shower!

I love me a good fashion event in SL.  I love them more when gifts or dollarbies are a part of it!!!  The TWE12VE Event is one of my favorite.  Great designers and really nice 12L dollarbies & even a freebie!!!  I picked up this adorable “Lucky” dress from Shanti just in time for St. Patty’s Day (free gift, no group required), and these adorable Origami earrings from LooLoo & The Platypus to match.  The earrings come in gold, silver, and variations of color with those metals.  For 12L, you can’t go wrong! Twe12ve is running until March 31st.

St. Patty’s Party Week Begins!

It’s my favorite time of year!  St. Patty’s Week!!!  I stopped over to my favorite SL Pub, The Blarney Stone, and had a pint in this glorious dress that cost, no lie, 1L on MP from the store Your Time. The beer is always free (even if it isn’t green), too!!!  Just click on any of the stools to get your Guinness!  Who can possibly pass up a buck and beer to kick off St. Patty’s week?  If you need (and you sooooo need), you can listen to three hours of Irish drinking songs here.

The Irish LOVE a good laugh, too, so I picked up the giant lucky coin while I was on MP that poofs out more gold coins.  It was a little bit of fun, and, for 5L, I couldn’t say no.  Head over to La Purr Shop on the MP to get yours!

The Bearded Guy and the Secret Garden

Every good story should start with the line, “let me tell you about The Bearded Guy and a Secret Garden.”  Such is the case with today’s outfit.

I started my morning as I always do, reading the FabFree blog to see what my blogging sisters have been up to.  Well, it turns out that Sister Arielle had been over to the Secret Garden, and that reminded me that I, too, needed to get on over there to see what goodies can be launched from those precious machines.  You can read about her adventures with the Mooh machine here.

While I have to admit that I was not at all fond of the Gacha ban, I really don’t mind the “next up” (there are so many names now) machines.  For one, I thought at least 20 times, wow, I just saved a fat ton of Linden.  In the Gacha days, I would never buy hair or clothes at a machine because I am very specific about my hair color, and I don’t like wasting precious Linden on clothes and accessories I will never wear.  Imagine my delight when I landed at the Demicorn spot at the Secret Garden and the three machines were humming in tandem!  Each 50L a pull, I scored three dresses that I will wear (red, pink and white), 2 rare pink bears, a black bear, and 2 gift boxes.  It was a such a nice score without anything I wouldn’t actually want!

Once I finish reading the blogs, I check out all the sales for the day, and, since it’s Saturday, there are lots of things to occupy my virtual purse.  I headed over to The Bearded Guy for some sale props, and that was the first time I had been to his store.  HOLY TOLEDO!  The Group is 75L to join, but there is an ENTIRE WALL of group gifts AND a 1500L Gift Card for group members.  I bought this scene, Cute Palacio Backdrop, with the Gift Card.  The scenes range in prices but the 1500L Gift Card will buy one fatpack or several single scenes.  I did the latter because I have a “thing” for pink.

So now that shopping is over, I can go listen to Rasbury Rearwin play the guitar in a seriously cute outfit!!!

Mystical Beauty

Hunts are really one of my favorite things to do in SL.  I also like events.  It’s awesome to see all the different creators come together and offer fresh new styles.  I love an event that is themed AND has a hunt, and I was not at all disappointed in the Mystical Market Love Potion Edition Event & Hunt.  The hunt items are 10L but no group is needed, but you can view them here in advance.  BUT, definitely go to each store because there are free gifts, too.

Most everything in the picture above was found in the hunt or as a freebie.  Let’s dig in!

The outfit by QE Designs is actually labeled as pajamas (Veronica pajamas – Dark Vintage Lace), but I would totally wear this to a club.  It comes with a 4-color HUD including black, berry, and blue (and the purple I am wearing).  Cost: 10L (Hunt)

The Hottie Heels are made by Grumble and come in red.  They are really cute (and look very sharp – both literally and figuratively).  Cost 10L (Hunt).

The Potion Necklace by Little Bat comes in two versions: Love or Hate.  I am a lover, so I went with Love for the picture.  You can click to resize it.

The Love Potion Paper Earrings are made by Byrne and are super cool.  First, they come in pink, purple, and red, but each color also comes with both a static and a glow version that blinks slowly!  I am wearing the glow version, but you really can’t see them blinking.  Cost 10L (Hunt).

The circular tapestry rug by QE Designs is really pretty, and this is one of three FREE gifts in the QE shoppe at the Mystical Market. Cost: FREE!!!

The red and black Gothica Pillows come with red wine glasses and are by Angelic Designs.  Cost: 10L (Hunt).

The rose and thorns decor by Love is so pretty.  You can resize this and it works on the ground or on a mantlepiece.  Cost 10L (Hunt)

Love Day Beauty

It’s finally here!  Valentine’s Day!  What, you ask, does Desi wear on this festive day of love and sexiness?  Well, she wears what she always wears…cute stuff that she finds for FREE!!!

The Group Gifts at Brillancia are absolutely terrific and, ladies, you may not have gotten roses today, but you can join this group for FREE!!! The newest gift, the Anna dress, comes in all kinds of color HUD options.  You can switch up the skirt and top and the top and lower bands to find a style you like.  I paired the dress with the Group Gift heels named Arya (also free!).  These, too, are customizable…the leather, the laces, and the heel. I looked around the store, and I really like Brillancia‘s style.  Everything sort of looks the same around the grid as fashion trends hit all the stores at once, and Brillancia has some really sweet and unique outfits that are so pretty.  The designer, Eva Chekov, is also really nice.  I had a question, and she was super helpful.  I definitely shop at stores where the designers are nice!

So….whether you have a date or not for the big V-Day celebrations, you can still wander around the grid looking sensational.  There are a heap of free group gifts, and you will have so much fun trying everything on and working with the HUDS to create your custom happy look!

The Luck of the Draw!

Ladies, it’s Confessions with Desi.  I miss Gachas.  I loved me a good Gacha event back in the day (like last year).  But, the rules changed and now we have Next Up machines.  I will admit that I am kind of a fan of them, as I am wasting a lot less money on  stuff I don’t want, but I am not standing around for days hoping someone pulls the stuff I don’t like so I can get what I do.  It’s an odd joy when I show up to a machine and there are back to back prizes that I really like.  Such was the case at the Evil Bunny Productions “Up for Grabs” Next Up Event.  The event runs until February 28th.

I picked up the free gifts at some of the vendors and then looked over the machines.  There were some cute things I really wanted, but, alas, they weren’t the next up items…they weren’t even on the board yet…so I will have to wait for a Next Up Yardsale.  But, then….THEN…I got to the Fatal Fashion machine!  Waiting for my 50L pull was this adorable little dress and the next item was, luckily, the matching panties!

How lucky!!!  I quickly scored these two fine articles of virtual bliss for 50L each before someone else jumped in to steal my pull (I mean, that’s never actually ever happened anywhere, but there is a real fear).  I love this cute little outfit!!!
