A Lot of Fight Left In Me

I stumbled upon a new event a few days ago! I’m sure it’s not *actually* new but it’s new to me. And wait, I didn’t tell you the best part yet…there are looooots of free gifts!

Astral

The event is called Astral Dreams and it’s full of lots of interesting things. Not your typically clothes and stuff, but neat tattoos and accessories and such. You will need to join the event group (for free) and then click on the boxes at most of the booths to get the free gifts. Pretty standard practice. The boxes rezzed last for me though, so you might need to be patient. I realize that I look a bit petulant today but I’m really quite pleased with the goodies that I found. All of these are free gifts from the Astral Dreams event:

• My eyes are by S H I M M and quite pretty. They come in a nice range of blues and greens, with a pretty purple thrown in as well, and with appliers for Lelutka and Catwa.
• The scratch under my eye is courtesy of Knife Party. It comes as a BOM layer. Sounds weird, but I do enjoy a good wound in SL and this one is quite well made. Ahem. Anyway, moving on.
• Hexed gifted the pretty tattoo that I’m wearing, which covers the chest, shoulder blades, and half way down each arm (you can see where it ends on my left arm). There are various opacity versions included, all as BOM layers.

But, also…

My hair is one of the new Midnight Mania prizes at Moon! These new prizes are really fantastic and the board fills up fast. I can’t say enough good things about Moon hair, and most of them include a style HUD and color HUD with all kinds of options (I’m wearing one of the ombres).

Going to Japan

The skies aren’t very pretty down in my neck of RL. So I decided to enjoy a frosty libation while visiting this quaint and lovely Japanese sim. It’s one of those places that’s good for your soul with peaceful settings, tons of waterfalls, and glorious flowering trees galore! What else is a girl to do on a rainy Monday besides do a quick post??

A Pretty Find

Remember the store credits and gift cards you picked up at SL19B Shop & Hop? I picked up this gorgeous, sexy dress from Poison Rouge by using my $350L gift card at their SL19B booth. The Hakina Kimono dress is simply stunning and woohoo it’s on sale. I have no idea why I am drawn to oriental styles; maybe it’s because they are elegant and never seem to go out of style. There are a number of colors to choose from.

Vanity has this style, Babydoll is set out as a Free gift at Hair Fair. All you have to do is tp over and grab it! It is a retro style with little bows on each side. Think the 1960s. Included is a ton of huds so you can color the hair to your heart’s desire.

Pride Never Stops

The end of June is nigh upon us. Pride never stops; it shouldn’t. It’s a choice you can make to support the LGBTQ+ community and remember the history of struggles to obtain basic human rights. My support comes naturally as I have long-time friends and family who are LGBTQ+. You’ve probably seen several posts about Pride @ Home and other events.

To help you show support there are a number of Fabulous designers who donated gifts for the Pride @ Home SL celebration. All of the gifts are Free but you need to hurry because the event ends on June 30th. Madame Aline, the FabFree boss lady, featured some of the event gifts here.

Showing Those Rainbow Colors

Ladies, how can you NOT love these items? I do love sparkly things! And the bright colors make me smile. I threw this look together with several gift items. Do I look a tad too festive to anyone? No way, never ever! Let’s get to it.

My delightful bodysuit is a Free SL19B gift from PrettyDeceased. It’s the Pride edition and it is so pretty & festive! It’s got the little side skirt attached. It also comes with starfish to cover up the boobies.

I didn’t wear the starfish because I wanted to add the crown and breast plate I picked up a couple of weekends ago from Synnergy.  I think the pieces go together quite nicely.

Wanna Visit the Darkside With Me?

Bet you’ve never seen this darker side of me. Well maybe a little bit. Years ago in my early SL days I decided to delve into the leather scene in SL. Today I tripped back into the mode for this post and I had a blast doing it!

Pretty Sexy Thang

My outfit was a surprise from Telsiope’s Couture. It inspired me to do this post. The Cristallia leather outfit consists of the bodysuit, shrug, and boots. It’s a near perfect fit for the Maitreya Lara body; I only had to alpha the arms and armpits.  I love the way the bodysuit hugs my curves while covering up my bits. You can also wear this as a swimsuit. In fact, there is a blue version of the bodysuit available for $10L in the vendor.

Let Your Fingers Do the Walking

Going through the SL19B sims reminds of me of an old commercial for the Yellow pages phonebook. In the early 1960s an artist came up with the now famous slogan – “Let your fingers do the walking through the Yellow Pages” for the New England Telephone which was eventually bought out by AT&T. (btw, it’s an American thing as far as I know).

Okay, where was I going with this bit of trivia?? Oh yeah! Walking through SL19B is like walking through the yellow pages. I don’t know how your avatar moves but mine moves with me using 2 fingers to “walk”. Quit blathering and get on with it Cre!

Lovely Sparkles

Don’t you love it when you pick up free gifts, open them and find a few treasures? I was pleasantly surprised when I unpacked the SL19B gift from Son!a Edge. What a beautiful, well-crafted dress! The details and textures knocked me out of my socks. Petra comes in this pleasing shade accented with shiny sequins and gorgeous flowers.

Thanks to the WoW non-group Lucky Boards I’m sporting a new skin. When a “C” popped up on one of the boards I slapped it and got 2 shades of the Sugar BOM skin. I’m wearing the bronze version today. Marvelously Fab in Paris

I’m feeling special today. How about you? I think we’ve been watching way too many episodes of Project Runway at home. Today’s outfit kind of reminds me of some of the fashion creations the contestants design and fabricate.  The challenges on the show can run from making an elegant gown in luxurious fabric to using EMS and firefighter supplies for an avant-garde look (think bandages, fire hoses, etc).

In honor of my feeling special, sexy, and so fashionable I visited Paris, one of the world’s fashion capitals. I love all of what I’m wearing from the top of my head down to my toes. Where is that runway? I feel like being in a fashion show.

I subscribe to a lot of stores and groups. This morning I received a notecard about Fifty5 Thursday deals at Seven. Deciding I loved this look off to the shop I went. Alena comes as a top and mini skirt. Details give it an edgy look. There are a number of colors to choose from available at the store ($55L per color).

Then another notecard arrived from Sintiklia! The store participates in the Happy Weekend Sale on a fairly regular basis. One of today’s offerings is this funky updo, Octavia. It’s a high ponytail pulled to the front and bangs hanging in front. Included in each color pack is a style hud. It was just what I needed to complete this look.

Look deeply into my eyes . . . . Named “Rainstorm Eyes” they’re a lovely SL19B gift from theMars. You get 6 shades of bom eyes along with huds for Catwa, Catwa HDPro, Lelutka Evo, and Genus. The huds work with the eyes for each of the heads. How cool is that?
