I hope by now you have joined the Heartsick group since it is now FREE to join. I showed the new group gift earlier today. The Haiku Starley skin is in the lucky boards at Heartsick. There are two boards both containing this skin. One board changes every 5 minutes and the other has a 10 minute wait. The golden cocktail dress is the July group gift for Glitterati members. The matching Amber Blaze heels and Blossom earrings and choker are 50% off for Glitterati group members. There is a L$50 one time enrollment fee to join the Glitterati VIP group.
The black Showgirl bandana from Hairoin is L$50 at Hair Fair 2011. All proceeds from the bandanas go to the Wigs for Kids charity. Bandana day is the last day of the Fair, on July 15th. Everyone in SL is asked to take off their locks and wear a bandana for the day!
Bingo has the Sixties Remake dress in the lucky board. It took me several weeks to win this cute dress. I also picked up the Summer Garden dress free in store for Bliss Couture group members. The Bliss Couture group is free to join. The red checked Serenity Picnic heels are the newest gift for Purrfect 10 Vip Members. There is a L$510 enrollment fee to join the Purrfect 10 Vip Members group. All current and past gifts are available in store for members. The Heartsick group is now free to join!!! The Spirit Starlet skin is a new gift for Heartsick members. This skin comes with cleavage, freckle, and hairbase options.
I’m also blogging without hair today to show support for the Wigs for Kids charity. The adorable pink polka dot bandana is L$50 at Hair Fair 2011. All proceeds from the bandanas go to the Wigs for Kids charity. Bandana day is the last day of the Fair, on July 15th. Everyone in SL is asked to take off their locks and wear a bandana for the day!
As you may know, this year, a portion of the proceeds from every style goes to Wigs for Kids. This year, all 5 styles from ChiChickie! are set to 25%.
Emma is a curly style pulled back in a bun.
Mya is a chin length hair in a color changeable knit headband wrap. This hair uses a color picker hud to change the wrap.
Charlie is a short sexy unisex style that looks equally great on men and women.
Bailey is a braided ponytail hairstyle that includes a color changeable hud for the hair band. This style includes two attachment points so the ponytail doesn’t colide with your shoulder.
Godiva is the hairiest of them all with a long pulled back hairstyle, PLUS a skirt and top made out of hair too! I imagine this is what Rapunzel would do with her long locks.
The Christopher and Adriana Hair comes in black, blonde, chocolate, and dark auburn. These two hairstyles are included in the ChiChickie! Hair Fair 2011 gift along with the female KRB Low Lag Skin (in four skin tones) and a logo bikini.
This year Raspberry Aristocrat has 3 new *ADORABLE* pixie pigtail donation hairstyles and two gifts at the Hair Fair. 20% of the proceeds from the donation styles go towards the Wigs for Kids charity.
The Fae pigtails have side swept bangs held back with a small clip.
The Jane pigtails are a bit longer and a whole lot messier. This unkempt style really makes me smile, because it looks like my 7 year old niece’s hair after a long day.
Khloe is very similar to Jane, but with side pigtail buns.
The Petunia II pixie pigtails and Jess undo are gifts from Raspberry Aristocrat at Hair Fair 2011. Both of these hairstyles come in a variety of colors.
If your looking for some high quality braids look no further than Discord Designs. Discord Designs is known for it’s intricate tight braids. There are five new donation hairstyles plus two gifts from Discord Designs at Hair Fair 201.
Charlie is a ponytail with braided sides and long bangs. I read on the Discord Designs website that this hairstyle was intended to be male, but I think it looks pretty hot on women and has sorta a bad girl look!
Lola set of flexible braids pulled back in a ponytail with feminine bangs.
Lotta is a shorter braided ponytail without bangs. Just like all the styles this hair has flexi braids. I LOVE the incorporation with the V2 tattoo hair layer and I’ve decided that I look pretty damn good in braids!!!
Lilith is very similar to Lotta, but with longer, fuller braids. This hair includes two attachment points so the braids don’t cut through your shoulders.
Gaijin is a bit different and perfect for those who want to make a statement in braids. This style is inspired by Michelle Laine’s headdress from the Katy Perry ET video.
The Anansi and Briannon Braids are gifts at the Discord Designs booth. Both of these styles include ash blonde, discord red, milk chocolate, and raven black.

SIM 3… Hair Fair 2011 is in full swing. I’ve heard the lag horror stories and have to say, do what you can on your end to minimize the lag, but then just shut up and deal with it cause this is one event you don’t want to miss! It’s gonna be laggy… the sims are completely packed. Luckily you have until July 15th. Here are the L$0 – L$1 gifts I picked up from Hair Fair 3 – Carnival. Again, If I have missed any please leave me a comment and I will add it to this post when I can get back on the sim.
I decided to take a short little break from Hair Fair to show some items found at the July 4th Lvs&co Fair. There’s lots of Summer goodness at the LVS Fair.
All Holiday Pride and Stars & Stripes swimsuits are L$10 each and here are a couple that I thought were especially cute.
The Summer Girl and A day at the Fair dresses are available in blue, green, orange, pink, and purple. Both dresses are L$15 each per color. All Fourth of July [Crunchy Roll] Sneakers are L$10 each at Lvs&co.
Plus, Add Bugtussle to your picks for 24 hrs and click the sign to get the red, white, and blue Stars and Stripes dress free. This dress comes with adult and child sizes.
LaVie Skins & Shapes has two skins out for the women for the month of July. The dark Asia skin has heavy eye makeup and streaked mascara, while the sunkissed Jolie skin has a tear streaked face. There is a L$250 enrollment fee to join the LaVie Skins & Shapes VIP group.
The Loose hair is a new release from LeLutka only available at Hair Fair 2011. I fell in love with this style and absolutely had to have it. Each color comes with five shades and is L$310. Remember, a portion of the proceeds from ALL hairs sold at Hair Fair 2011 go towards the Wigs for Kids charity.
Round 2… Don’t panic if you’re still trying to get into Hair Fair because you have until July 15th. Here are the L$0 – L$1 gifties I picked up from Hair Fair 2 – Oceania. If I have missed any please leave me a comment and I will add it to this post when I can get back on the sim. I am really trying to show every gift available and don’t want to miss any of them.
The lavender lip-smacking Airhead skin from Curio is a group gift (found in the notices) for Truth District members. The Truth District group is currently free to join. The Ashton male skin is a past gift to Belleza group members and can be found in the gift box in store along with the past 3 skin gifts to the group. The Belleza group cost L$250 to join.
As most of you know, Hair Fair 2011 opens today. This event is one I absolutely love covering for two reasons, a portion of the profit is donated to charity and it’s HAIR! As with all large events in SL many find fighting the lag extremely frustrating. I encourage you to deprim, take off those face lights, and remove the HUDs. And of course… Enter with no hair and leave with many!!! Really there’s no need to be a Diva at large events where everyone is either gray or a cloud anyway.
DCNY & exile hair have created a fun low lag outfit to wear while you shop. The set includes drawstring board shorts, a tank top, socks and an exile hairbase in black, blonde, brown and red. The free low lag outfit above can be found all over each of the four Hair Fair 2011 sims.
Another way to battle lag is to Open debug settings (Ctrl Atl D) go to the debug settings and type in ‘RenderAvatarMax’ set the viability between 1-5. Then all the laggy people with their demos, fancy shoes. and jewelery don’t even render on your screen and don’t affect you. Just be sure to raise it back up to 35 people when you leave so you see everyone again.
*Even if you derender everyone, please dress low key as a courtesy to the other guests on the sim.*
