Fall in Love with MadPea!

MadPeas Rock!!!!

I have a confession. I was all set to do an epic post about Shop & Hop and bridal clothing…and then…well…I got sidetracked. The MadPea Cupid Catastrophe hunt became my main, um, obsession, um, focus? I’ve been a huge fan of MadPea since back in the days of building literary environments.

The HUD to participate in the hunt can be found at the HQ for the MadPea Cupid Catastrophe or the MadPea mainstore. The hunt HUD cost is 100L and comes with the most adorable heart shaped fly swatter ever created. For 100L, you get to run around the grid finding really cool places you’ve never heard of while swatting adorable Cupittos!!! You see, they stole all the little Cupids and are holding them hostage and OUR job is to free them!! It’s insanely fun, and I’ve met a lot of really awesome players and great places to take FabFree photos!

The wee Cupittos all have great names like Meany Greeny and Burpy Purpy, and they carry different point values. Even if you hunt with a pal, the point values are different for each of you because it’s totally random. Sometimes, you DO get skunked with a puff of smoke and zero points, but some include adorable prizes…and these are the prizes I am featuring today!!

In the picture are all the prizes I’ve won so far just hunting around.  I am holding the Key to My Heart sign, and the Valentine’s Banner is behind me.  The chocolates, the two Yin/Yang candles, sunglasses, and the heart basket pair really well with this beautiful tea light and candle set.  The little rug at my feet is another cool prize.

As you hunt, you get points, and like a cool lovers’ carnival, those points can be exchanged for prizes. The more you squish, the more points you get and the more prizes you can buy! The prizes are nice, too. I have my eye on some heart shaped lights and Valentine letters and cookies. You can buy for yourself OR send some cute prizes to your best SL mates! I sent cookie letters to my new friend, Dino, because he helped me learn how to use the HUD.  I am saving up my points, though, because they release a new prize every day, and I don’t want to spend all my clams until I know my choices.

So how does this hunt work? Well you know, dear Fabbies, I hate complicated things. So, It isn’t necessary to tote around the adorable fly swatter unless you want to…and I did for at least a solid day, being the Duchess of Dorks that I am.  But, really, all you have to do is just wear the HUD and follow it.

The HUD is super simple to use. Basically, all the dots on the radar are Cupittos to squish. Your job is to get them into the center circle, squish them and release a cupid who wants to give you points or prizes! When you are successful, you will get a message like, “You have found a new Burpy Purpy. It contains a Chubby Cupid worth 50 points” and a cupid pops up on your screen. As you squish more of them, you get achievement awards.

Watch your HUD. If the shape is a dot, you are on the same level as the Cupitto. If it’s above you, the arrow points up….it’s below you if the arrow points down. Keep your sounds on because the sonar beeps faster as you get closer to one! Once you find it, you simply click on it, and ta-da you get points, prizes or…sometimes you do get skunked! The HUD calculates your success and you have found all the Cupittos once your head is clear and you don’t hear any more beeping.

To go to the next location, you click the little map icon on the HUD. It’s smart, so it only takes you to places where you’ve not yet found a Cupitto. But, you will return to same locations if they’ve put out new ones. The HUD won’t show you ones you’ve already squished. You can check your stats by clicking the little lines icon. The heart allows you to favorite cool places you’ve visted, and the gift box takes you to the place where you can redeem your points for cool prizes. The Mad Pea icon gives you a HUD menu with all sorts of choices to track your success, look at rankings, or review the FAQs.

The Hunt

If you want to HOST Cupittos on your land or at your store, you can buy the different types at the MadPea mainstore.  They cost between 1000-7000 depending on whether you are an Unlimited MadPea Member (5000L buy-in) or not.  I placed some on my personal RP Scotland sim, and it’s been fun watching folks try to navigate the gauntlet to get a Cupitto!

Overall, this is a fun way to spend some time in SL.  I hope I see you out there!!!

Wintry Fun Deals (and more snowball fights!)

snowball fight

Hey gang!

I’m still out here being the trouble maker that I am.  Mainly because I found *the* most funnest (its a word!!!!!  lol) thing ever!  Fluffy Stuff has, well, basically a snowball fight that you can buy and it’s still on sale from SoKawaii Sunday yesterday for only 65L!  Not only does it give you some cute poses, but when you go into mouselook and aim, you can throw snowballs at things and people and anything!  There was no one around so Santa got hit quite a few times.  I really got sidetracked playing with this.  Lots of fun!

I’ve also still been stalking The Arcade, where I got another pair of these super cute fluffy boots from Gild (mens and women sizes, one size fits each) for only 50L a play and also this awesome jacket and leggings by Amias, which is 75L a play.  I’m wearing the Maitreya size.

Again, time sensitive so I can get y’all that awesome sale at Fluffy Stuff.  Not sure how long it will be up for though, so if you want some wintery fun (it really is!) run over and grab this while it’s on sale!

The Devil Wears MOoH!

Sponsor MoOH!

Oh it’s just me gang!  Did I scare you?  No?  Not even for a minute, huh?  You all are way too smart for me!  I just can’t trick you!

Since I can’t trick you, howsabout a nice Halloween style treat?  Yes?  Great!

Grim Grinning Games!

If you head on over to Spooktacular, you can get spooky too!  This is a new event running the entire month of October (the 31st, which is, of course, Halloween!) where you can find those brand new, handy dandy, nifty and fun, newfangled Next Up machines!  Now, if you haven’t seen them yet, these are the replacements for many of the old Gachas.  The machines look very similar, but each machine will show you a photo or a number of what prize is next, meaning if you choose to pay the machine at that moment, you will get the prize shown.  If you *don’t* like the prize shown, or have your heart on something else, just give it some time and check back, once someone else plays, the numbers will move forward to reveal other prizes in the machine.  So while gacha was a game of chance, these are more a game of timing.  Both seem to include some element of luck.  But here at Fab Free, we make our own luck cause we are stubborn girlies!

This costume I am wearing is from MOoH!, it is only 50L a play and they are Flat Skeleton Avatars!  There are lots to choose from (see key below) and I am showing you the Devil one.  It is a very weird feeling being flat!  Kinda fun too, so give it a try.  Since these are complete avatars, they fit *everyone*.

The Halloween fun continues!  Stay safe Guys and Ghouls!

Dani’s Lucky BareRose Sin & Secret Party Tonight with Shoe Fly Shoes

I have to show you one of my favorite finds.  I love these outfits from BareRose.  The outfit on the left is for the ladies and the right side is for men, but I thought it was sexy as hell so it also found a permanent spot in my inventory.  The sexy Victorian trench coat over the naughty seductive white corset and skirt are for the ladies.  The ensemble can also be worn with the orange booty shorts and the cleavage showing top.  The trench coat over the ruffled white shirt and plaid vest with grey pants is for the men.  You can get these outfits free by playing the games at BareRose.  To get the complete outfit you must complete the games at all four locations.  Grab the note card at the first location for the instructions and to get landmark to the next location.

The brown SteamChunks I am wearing are from Shoe Fly Shoes.  These shoes will be one of the gifts at the Shoe Fly Shoes two year party.  Check the group notices for details and to get the location of the party.

This black and orange gown is a dollarbie from Kouse’s Sanctum.  The gown is the All Hallows Eve Divinity Gown and can be found amongst the Divinity gowns on the top floor.  This dress can be worn as a ball gown or as a short skirt, so it is very versatile.

From Sysy’s Designs you can grab this tight fitting sleek black and tan Sasha dress for just 1 Linden.  Also, be sure to join the sub-o-matic and grab the Funkdress in blue from the notices.  The Black DooMee Mules are free from the Trick or Treat Pumpkin at Shoe Fly Shoes.  Walk to the large pumpkin at the front of the store and say “Trick or Treat” and you will get a prize.  There are many other prizes stuffed inside this pumpkin so you never know what you will get.

Sadly, I missed out on the beautiful red Petra Gown from Seldom Blue that Scotti told us about.  But, after looking around the store I found this pink sky gown for free.  The pink jeweled dress has the option to be worn as a short dress or the long ball gown version.

The seductive black Sheer Split Personality Lingerie and the little black dress are both dollarbies from Sin & Secrets.  I’ve been trying desperately to win the beautiful dress in the lucky chair, but I haven’t had any luck yet.  Let me know if you happen to see an R.

Speaking of luck… head over to Dani’s Fine Fashions and try your luck with the lucky chairs.  There are so many outfits you can win from these lucky chairs.  The Destiny in Black dress can be work as an evening gown or a short dress.  The Autumn Fun orange slacks and orange plaid mid-drift top is great for the fall season.  The burnt orange jeans and black and white Velvet short sleeve shirt are great for the casual look.  If you’re looking for something a bit more festive the orange pumpkin tank and white ghost tank are fun for Halloween.  These outfits come with black or tan jeans, I am wearing the black jeans with both of the tanks.  If you are wanting something a little more formal try your luck winning the Red Velvet gown or the Lyria Peach Dress.  And if you are still looking for a Halloween costume the orange citrus fairy costume might be just what you’re looking for. All of these outfits can be won from the lucky chairs at Dani’s Fine Fashions.  Ladies drag your man with you, because there are also lucky chairs for the guys and freebies available for both at Dani’s Fine Fashions.

The darker skin I am wearing is called Harmonia skin and was a past lucky chair gift from Sin & Secrets. The lighter skin is the natural freckled Megan skin that is still available from the Rockberry lucky chair and posters. Also, be sure to grab the four Mia skins that are available free to the RockBerry group.   Just join the RockBerry group and look in the notices for this gift.  The Jess ponytail hair is a dollarbie from Diversity Hair.
